Kyren is able to finds clawed sets of tracks along the ground. One set of large tracks and a few smaller ones. From the bite marks on the bones he again sees a larger set of curved teeth and then smaller nibbles. He also detects some fouling of the meat if he gets closer. A subtle smell, but suggests this scene was perhaps caused by the dragon that was seen in these parts. And the smaller tracks indicate there may have been wyrmlings too.

Among the tracks towards the edge he also notices something pawed like a wolf or bobcat's. It seems fresher than the dragon tracks and heading the same the direction the oncoming creatures are coming from.

Kpp'ar senses that Kyren has found something that isn't especially good, so he shouts, "Kyren! Get back! I can tell ya know somethin's comin'!"

“Well… it ain’t swamp puppies” Kyren leans against his brass pipe (he uses it as a quarterstaff, and it still gives bonk damage), then looks over at the direction of the rest of his party “I think we’re chasing a mama… also there‘s some sorta mammal been here”

Kpp'ar gives up on trying to hide and runs up to Kyren.

"It ain't safe here, Kyren. We gotta move! We can check for more stuff later, but right now isn't a good time."

Kyren rolls his eyes “fine” and goes to find a hiding spot

Kpp'ar knows he isn't going to be able to hide very well (as his earlier attempt showed), so he stands in the clearing with his bow drawn, turning and looking around every so often so that he can see everything around him.

Lysander keeps hiding and hisses at the others, “HIDE!”

Kyren rolled his eyes at the fancy hiding tactic, because he’s a little [gp] and for some reason I decided to give him an episode 3 Anakin personality…

But also this may give a cool character arc opportunity?

Since everyone else is hiding (WIMPS! :P) I'll roll a quick Stealth for Harmir.

From the brush a pack of 8 wolves enters the clearing. The lead wolf heads toward the deer carcass before stopping to take a sniff in the air and stepping back. Presumably it smelled the same befoulment that Kyren detected. It barks to the rest of the pack and they congregate around it. It's then that the wolves seem to start taking note of other presences nearby.

Seeing Kpp'ar and Harmir in the clearing they start approaching slowly and cautiously.
