Hadrian exhales deeply as the last remnants of the fiery creature dissolve into the night. He pushes a hand through his rain-slicked hair, sweeping it back as he slides his sword back into its sheath. "That house is on fire," Hadrian watches as the smoke, mingling with the rain, rises in thin wisps before being swallowed by the downpour. "Y'all should get out of there." 

Then, without waiting for a response, he turns to the toppled cart to investigate the wreckage, trying to figure out where the Entropic Flame might have come from.

Investigation: 5

Tendilius smiles at Emma's reunion with Wormy. Ka-Cha Khan certainly had an alien look to him, but the Thri-Keen also had heart. He coughs for a moment and then agrees with Hadrian's assessment. "Indeed. Don't want our Daring Do to be a Daring Done." While Hadrian beings investigating the origins of the entropic flame he heads outside and then uses mold earth to start bring in the soaking mud in an effort to extinguish the flames at their base, taking in fresher air outside and holding his breath while in the smoky area.

Heiboros makes an awkward choking sound and then says, "I'm fairly bald now. Bald eagle, huh?" And then a horrific gasping screech sound. Those who look at him see that the feathers on his head are charred off, in addition to a burned eye. "Maybe, healing?" More pained bird gasps. "I'm getting out of here."

"Mhm," Emma nods at Tendilius's recommendation, an "Uhn-uh," at the Daring Done. She coughs once more with her eyes still watery. She looks as if she was about to cry again then-

"Bald?" She sniffles, closing her eyes before she chuckles. "Haha, yeah, bald." She opens her eyes and points to Heiboros's head. It's an innocent point- not one to poke fun at you but just to straight point that out and agree. Her shoulder sag once she realizes the severity of your injuries. She looks as if she was going to give you something but then stops and says, "Yeah..." She follows the half-elf out the door, clutching onto the Miner's Pick as they go.

The mold earth brings in nearby mud to flop onto the house, causing the wood to sizzle before the fires goes out. A little bit of flame shoots up outside of the left window, but you get to that just in the nick of time. Black streaks line the areas where the flames had been. It smells like a barbecue pit minus the food.

"Everyone, get out of the smoke."  Ka-Cha says, ushering people out of the room. He looks for water to douse the flames, using his water flask as a last resort.

Ka-Cha manages to collect enough water from the rain into all of the vases (well really just the one since the other was a wash basin). He throws them all into the fire and douses the last of the remaining fires.

Surprisingly no one has come to claim the broken caravan, but the shards that litter the ground glow great. "My brother says they always do this," Emma says, gesturing at the broken delerium. "Once they turned him into a potted plant!" She wipes her nose with her hand. "I'm really sorry..." She hangs her head down.

Hieboros gathers up the shards into his pouch. How many does he manage to find? Investigation: 15. 

Ka-Cha searches the cart and the remains of the creature, trying to find answers.

He doesn't have any idea.

Hadrian crunches his nose at the smell. Something feels off. Why is the cart all the way here, and not at the Caravan Court? And is that sulfur? He takes a slow, deliberate breath, letting the sulfurous smell filling his lungs as he reaches out with Divine Sense to see if he can discover something more. 

After finishing up with the fire, Tendilius turns towards the others. As Heiboros begins picking up the shards he says, "Might I recommend an alternative course of action?" There's a concerned look on his face. "We've already met one man turned into a creature by touching those, might be wise to get some protective gear first." He rummages through the wreckage for wooden planks that could be used as a makeshift pair of tongs.

((Bro Heiboros is so lucky because touching the delerium he got got 5 + 5 on the constitution save and hit the mark))

Oh dude I forgot about putting gloves in the post haha, I always imagine him with these special like bird gloves and didn't even think about mentioning them, so I'm glad I've got a +5

You do manage to make the tongs from two loose planks that fell. The rest of the purple wagon stays upright and isn't so bad. Hopefully those planks weren't being used for something.

You got the lowest end of the investigation stick. You find absolutely nothing of importance. You just see a purple wagon and some crystals.

 "What are you guys doing?" Emma asks.

Heiboros looks at her, an internal battle going on. He fidgets for a moment, pulling on a new pair of gloves and flaps over to her. Perching by her, he opens his beak to say something, closes it again, and glides over to Tendilius. In a whisper, "What are we going to do? I have reason to beileve that another one of these might be here at any moment. Emma is very brace and well-meaning, but... she's still a child. I don't want to ask her to leave, but if she gets hurt... Anyway after a rest, I'm going to go find Mr. Fairweather." He then raises his voice, "I believe that further investigation can wait till tomorrow. If something else like that fire were to show up, I'm sure it would have no trouble finishing us off." He heads back towards the hut, perches on top, and immediately falls asleep. 

Tendilius raises his eyebrows as Heiboros mentions the possibility of another flame in quick succession but can scarcely respond before the aarakocra is off to his hut. He casts a quick message. "Another flame soon? What did you find?"

Heiboros groans, flies back to Tendilius, and says, "Two chests, one with the lock busted off and open, with shards of delirium. Magic was on the lock, a glyph of warding and an arcane lock. The one beast matched the one open chest. If another comes from the second, I'd rather be fresh." He then waits for a response. 

Tendilius nods in understanding of what Heiboros says. "Very well." He turns to Emma and says, "We're just investigating what happened with that flame." He tries to have a reassuring tone despite his concerns.
