The brief search does not show anything of importance the 'castle' is merely a tiny lodge built into the cave. The spider was not found with a thorough search...but strands of web were seen lying about. Blurgh's head was fairly easy to cut off as he was lying still and had already been killed. As the head rolled aside one eye opened drunkenly, but it was obvious he was still very dead.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Grabius scuffs his foot in the dirt and goes to haul Blurgh's head back. "Hey Gomphus, why don't you carry this trophy on the way back? Guess there's nothing much left for us here. Let's go wrap this up and close the book on this one." He gives a quick smirk as he's proud of his little play on words.
Grabius starts to head back to the mushrooms, keeping his eyes peeled for anything.
Gomphus laughed, although he couldn't possibly have got the play on words. Nothing stuck out on the way back to the grove as you arrived. From far off a few myconids saw you and ran excitedly into the village to draw out the sovereign. It was hard to tell, as the telepathic spores didn't work too far away, but he seemed very pleased with your work. As Sovereign Cortinarius approached he let out his spores to talk.
~Thank you adventurers! You've saved all of us!~ Cortinarius said loudly...although it was telepathic. ~I assume you're after the stone then?~
~The vault should be at the north end of the city, Buffo the keeper of the vault will let you in.~ Cortinarius said with a nod, gesturing toward the vault, which was visible from where you were. It appeared to be a stone door covered in carved runes.
“Seriously. We go and remove the threat, and now you want us to go dig through your vault? Why not just have ‘Buffalo’ bring it here? How grateful are you?”
Grabius is trying to hide his irritation, but he’s not a very charismatic gnome.
"Of course! Anything!" Came a voice of a bat, perched on a mushroom. The bat uttered some words that seemed to be a password and a swirling vortex appeared in front of the vault, inside was some sort of cave. "There you go!"
Cortinarius, now watering his plants a distance off in the city seems no longer interested in your affairs. You stare him down and even make eye contact but you detect no trickery. However, he seems confused when he sees you, and gets back to watering.

"I guess we can go back to the mushrooms with Blurgh's head," Boxey said as she tosses her mace over her shoulder.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"Doesnt seem to be anything else here"

"Yes we are," Boxey said.

Grabius stays silent like the first time. While eager for the stone, he watches everything transpire.

"So this means we can keep everything in your vault then?" Boxey asks. She'll wait for Buffalo to open the door.

"seems too easy"

Grabius is very uneasy about this and his untrusting nature is going berserk.

"Lets just get the thing and get this over with"

Boxey steps through the cave opening. "Yes, let us get this over with."

Zerxius follows behind him

Grabius grumbles and steps ahead of the rest, slipping into his quiet approach and keeping an eye out for any surprises.
