As you tried to circumnavigate the camp, you saw two, hulking ogres roasting a lamb over a fire. They were talking about something, it didn't seem very intelligent. As you pass by, they dont notice you.
Grabius is very tempted to try and sneak over for a chance at anything worth stealing, but the fact that they are 2 big ogres sways his urge and he continues on his way around passed them.
In no time you all reached the town. As you approached the gates of the city at night you saw several colorful lanterns burning. The sign "Arichtstead" hung over the gate. Inside you could see many people walking in the torchlight, all wearing mage robes of sorts. A few children were running about trying to catch some of the numerous fireflies in the area. The town seemed fairly pleasant and clean with cobblestone roads and warm-looking buildings. How do you go about exploring the town?
Grabius will instinctively want to slink to the alleyways and not draw suspicion. If everyone seems to be walking about in robes, he'll look nearby for similar attire in order to blend in. His primary goal will be in looking for the first local establishment, be it inn or tavern, where travelers might be welcome--hiding out of sight until such a place could be spotted.
Whispering to the group, “Let’s try to find some sort of safehaven before we announce our presence. From the look of things, I don’t think many of my ‘brothers’ operate in this city, so we probably need to look for more common areas. If there’s a place where travelers are welcome, that would be my first inclination—plus we could potentially find out where this auction is happening and other useful information. If either of you have ideas, I’m open.”
The dealings of this town seemed largely done in markets. Markets full of stands were everywhere selling anything from food, to weapons, to clothes. A stand selling robes sold them at 5 silver. Few temples could be located, and the few that were found were neutral temples, accepting the worship of any faith. The most inviting buildings were taverns, inns, and what seemed to be museums full of maps called the "travelers dream". Many schools of magic from all classes, spell scroll shops, bath houses, and brothels could be seen as well. Near the center of the city was a large building that had domes carved into the top of it, and several marble pillars holding it up.
“How about I go secure us some robes so we can make our way around town a little easier? I’d feel a little safer in a tavern, but maybe we can take a minute at a temple too so you can recoup, Boxey, before the next leg of this mission.”
Grabius will look for the nearest stand and sneak over to buy 3 robes of appropriate size as inconspicuously as possible.
Boxey nods. "That sounds good. I don't mind taverns, but it is hard to think and pray when people are barking drink orders and trying to pick a fight with you."
(OOC: I forgot to ask, did we receive any gold or coins from the last mission?)

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
The man selling the robes was the quiet, dour sort. He didn't even speak during the transaction, and simply accepted the money and handed over the robes.
I obviously put on one of the robes (over my existing attire) and hand the others to Boxey and Zerxius. "Let's be on our way then to the nearest tavern. Boxey, keep an eye out in case we pass a temple that works for you." Grabius will peer each direction and aim to head towards the busiest tavern/inn, trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible.

Boxey silently wishes the ogres well as they continue toward the town.

Boxer is going to find a temple where she can pray to her God for guidance and to thank him for keeping her and her companions safe .

Boxey nods ."A temple is always a safe haven."

"a Tavern while not always safe is also a haven"
