~After hearing so many devil spies try to get their hands on it...I'm afraid I'll need to ask a favor of you first.~ Cortinarius said. ~I need you to kill the leader of the goblins, named Blurgh. He is a Bugbear, I ask you bring me his head. Then, I will give you the crystal.~

I haven't missed much, it seems. I've read up on it all.
::Oh, so that's what it would take?:: Allure almost lost his temper. He snapped the tail again and continued. ::Let me explain this to you real quick. Unless we get the crystal fast, you silly war is not going to matter. Because after the other come for them, they will not ask as we did. And once they take it and others, and then use them, this little dream realm is going to collapse with you in it. We have neither time, not desire to get involver and we will not turn away after a simple "no". So think again.::
So Allure just pulls the threat out of his ass, he doesn't really know if it's going to happen, he just wants in to sound plausible. He'll try to worry the mushroom enough to get him to give up the crystal.
Cortinarius waves a waving motion with his hands and five myconids, apparently guards, rush toward the group eyeing them carefully. Cortinarius seems of course intimidated but emphatically shakes his head.
~You have no proof that you aren't the ones you speak about.~ The sovereign said. ~Besides, we won't last long against the goblins, so we would prefer to survive until this realm 'collapses'~
~He has a large pet spider named Ukzal. She is always with him...I would worry about that...~ The sovereign said, straining to think of more information. ~I know little about him...he never leaves his fortress.~
~When the goblinoids carved their way through the forest to our town they created a path leading right to them, but the bad news is that this is the only way to reach their fortress, and they have prepared accordingly. I hope you have your wits about you, those goblins will shoot anything that comes near then, even another goblin!~

::Suicide mission, really? Allures tale seemed to have a life of his own at this point, twisting and curling as the tiefling spoke. ::Well, do you have something to help up? Like an artifact, maybe a weapon or... I don't know, a potion? You did plan on trying something before you knew we were here::
~We really are in a desperate time, our only defense is our animated Zurkhwood mushrooms. They are powerful sentries, but they cannot leave the city or else the enchantment wears off.~ Cortinarius said. ~Gomphus' aid is all I can promise you.~
The myconids seem to use little technology, if any at all. Mushrooms of various colors and sizes can be seen, but there is nothing in the way of a normal souvenir.

~I know of such a crystal.~ Cortinarius said. ~The crystal used to open the Forge of Realms, correct?~
"Yes that is the one which we seek"

::Fine!:: Allure telepathically conveys.
"You will survive, even if it so I can kill you myself," he adds in hushed tone, knowing that myconid won't understand him.
::What do we need to know about this ****bear?::

Boxey walks up to Gromphus and offers a handshake. "I am all for killing goblins if they kill us. And having one ally with us is better than none."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
::Shall we be off then?::
And then, in his normal voice.
"Guys, there's something I want to discuss. Preferably without the mushroom present, even though he can't understand us aurally"

Gomphus stood idly as he waited for his companions to depart. He started jogging in place.
Boxey nods. "Tempus would appreciate you being so fit and ready for battle. I'm ready to go."

Grabius turns and starts walking away. He looks around for anything small and insignificant to take as a souvenir.
