This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Allure furrows his brows and asks to speak to his companions in private. Once out of thought- and earshot, he quietly speaks.
"Listen, I don't like this guy. Little surprise, I know, but I dislike being used like this. Especially when we have so little time. The demons could take the gem while we're busy battling the goblins, and frankly, I don't like our chances against the entire fortress of them," tiefling pauses for a second. "Maybe we should explore other options. Ideally, we could steal it, and leave them to their petty little war, we even have a specialist for that. Alas, we have no idea where it is, but we could find that out, I'm sure."
He gives his companions a long stare.
"There is, however, other option. Who says we need to battle the goblins? Why not try and deal with them instead? And yes, I know they're aggressive, but... I don't know, we could try and give them Gomphuses head, or whatever that's called, as a sign of goodwill. We then ally with goblins, take out the mushrooms army which will be vastly outnumbered with out newfound allies and take the stone. Plus, I don't think they will check our pockets on the way out. And yes, I realize the Bugbear could turn on us, but we would be prepared for that. Listen to me, guys, I'm no fan of goblins, but I like this pretentious soup ingredient and his quests even less. Let's try to ally with goblins. Our chances are far better this way."
"I wouldn't trust anyone, but I'm not about upsetting whatever's going on here. I just want to get paid and get outta here...and I wouldn't mind walking away a little better off than we came in, but that's just my motto. I'm getting antsy with all this diplomatic talk though. (Need to scratch an itch if you know what I mean...)" Grabius mutters that last sentence out of the side of his mouth.
"So let's do what we gotta do to get that gem and hit the road. 'Never stay in one place long enough for 'em to find ya!' ...another motto. ... ... i like mottos... keeps my head on straight..." he trails off muttering to himself aloud.
(One person said lets go, so i just had to make sure)
As the adventurers walked forward they reached a high ledge, the top was hard to see, as it was 20 feet high. Some tall mushrooms of various sizes seemed as if they could be used as stairs.

Boxey walks back over to the group. "I guess we can see what the goblins have to offer. If nothing else, goblins are easier to kill."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"Yeah, okay. Let's go. And someone keep Gomphius in the stabbing range."

Boxey tilts her chin and walks back to Gomphius. "So Gomphius, tell me about your people and your faith."

"there is usually a grain of truth in a motto Grabius, until there isn't"

~What's that?~ Gomphus asked, tilting his head. ~I don't know what you mean.~
Boxey takes out her holy symbol of Tempus to Gomphus and points to the firey sword symbol in the amulet. "Do you have anything like this?"
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
~I have a cool sword, but that looks just like a gold coin.~ Gomphus said.
Boxey examines the weapon. "That is a fascinating weapon. Where did you get it? Did you slay anyone?"
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
~I've never slain anyone at all. I just found it on the ground.~ Gomphus said. ~Well...my dad found it and didn't want it.~
(Do you guys agree to set off?)
