You head south to the other side of the town square to Lionshield Coster. Hanging above the front door of this modest trading post is a sign shaped like a wooden shield with a blue lion painted on it. A human woman leans behind the counter, looking over an accounts book. "What suits ya?" she asks after you enter.
Badger continues, "We recently rescued Sir Sildar Hallwinter from a goblin bandit encampment, and while clearing the cave to put a more sustainable end to the banditry on the Triboar Trail, we found a cache of crates and sacks, many that had the very same blue lion emblem that is emblazoned on your sign outside."
K: "No. We weren't sure of the rightful owners nor where would be best to transport the pilfered goods. So we left them in the cave. But we can map the location for you so you can recover the goods."
The woman replies with a wry smile, "That's better than nothing, I guess. I'll just have my mapmaker come draw up a map, and, oh wait, I have no mapmaker."
The woman chuckles. "You mean the cost for me to get a map drawn, hire wagons and horses, hire workers to venture into a cave, and to return the goods? Yes that is an issue. But I thank you for your kind deed. I can offer 25 gold and a free item from the shop for the information. I am Linene Greywind, master of this Lionshield shop. So which item do you want?" She lays out 25 gp and gestures to items hanging on the walls or sitting on shelves.
Before Ash can barter, Badger says, "We thank you for the kind bounty. We'd be happy to accept the gold and item." He starts looking around at the items.
Badger: "We have 260 gold. We should send at least 50 back to Bramble. So 200 or so plus a free item. I'd like a pair of hand axes for slashing and throwing, so that looks to be 10 gold."
Ash: "I want a cool-looking scimitar like those gobbies had, but it's way more expensive than a normal shortsword. Most of theirs were rusty, but Yeemik had a nice one. Why didn't we grab it? Anyway, I want another shortsword, two more daggers, and another bundle of arrows. That comes to 15 gold. But I'm still shopping."
OOC: (we never saw Yeemik after he ran 🤔; I assume we took Klarg's morningstar?)
K: "Yeemik! We never did see him in the cave, nor one of the wolves from the kennel. Only two came to attack us in the goblin bedchambers. I wonder if ol' Yeemik took the opportunity to escape with a guardwolf."
"I'd like some throwing daggers as well. And two more darts to replace those I lost. I'm also interested in this disguise kit and perhaps these thieves' tools. That would come to 55 gold."
Ash: "I have thieves' tools, but I suppose it might be beneficial to have two sets of we're both capable of using them. How much can we get for this lightly-used morningstar? That dried blood there is from my face."
"I also want this flute, this dice set, and this grappling hook looks cool. And how about one of these, too." He grabs a random trinket from the shelf (d100: 64): A pyramid of sticky black incense that smells very bad. "That's a little more than 4 more gold."
Ash just winks, maintaining his broad smile. He then adds, "Ooh, one more thing. Perhaps the free item." He points to a sharp-looking set of studded leather armor hanging on the wall behind Linene. "And I'll trade in this set." He taps his own leather armor.

Badger smiles broadly, "Good morning, ma'am. Has this establishment had any shipments go missing recently?"
The woman narrows her eyes. "Yes. Why? Do you know something about it?"
The woman replies, "This is in fact a good morning, then. Did you transport the goods to Phandalin?"
Ash: "Someone in town can surely draw a map clear enough to find it. But there is the small issue of recovery payment..."
The woman chuckles. "You mean the cost for me to get a map drawn, hire wagons and horses, hire workers to venture into a cave, and to return the goods? Yes that is an issue. What is available? Anything magical?
Anything in the Starting Equipment section, up to 75gp.

Badger: "Whoa, Ash. Remember, we don't want to go on a spending spree here. We want to send gold home, too."
K: "And save some in case we come across a costly magic item that'd help us."
"Do you even play the flute?"
Ash smiles broadly. "No, but we need music for those long days on the road."
K: "Music maybe. Not noise."
Ash just winks, maintaining his broad smile. He then adds, "Ooh, one more thing. Perhaps the free item." He points to a sharp-looking set of studded leather armor hanging on the wall behind Linene. "And I'll trade in this set." He taps his own leather armor.
