Redleaf sees everyone running in different directions and shrugs. " If dwarves were meant to fly Moradin would've giving us wings. Have fun, it was nice knowing some of you since I don't plan on seeing you come back. Fighting a Manticore 100's of feet in the air where it is in its natural environment. When you fall to your deaths, remember I told you so."
Redlleaf begns eating the food while feeding Cairn as she keeps her eyes peeled on the Lord Commander.
Polly, looking for any excuse to leave the formalities rises too at the opportunity of some fighting. However before he follows the Gotrek and the Lizardman out he turns to Redleaf.
"Aye she-dwarf, can I borrow that puppy of yours, maybe teach it some fighting or drinking or whatnot. Godforbid when I was only just that fresh out of the oven me crewmates had placed a sword in one of me hands and a bottle of moonshine in the other"
Redleaf walks back into the room and closes the door quickly. "I wouldn't go in there if I was you. Smells like an ogre after a heavy night of drinking and eating greasy food."
She waves her hand in front of her nose to prove her point and walks back over towards the table. As she gets close to Lanoros she whispers "We need to talk."
She sits down and grabs some food and feeds Phantom and pats her on the head and says "Friend" and then does the same to Cairn before grabbing some food for herself.
Lanoros watches as everyone gets and runs around to gather gear for the Manticore. "Well, I believe I will stay put. Flying things aren't my forte." He grabs some food and looks over to Redleeaf, "Here or there?" He gestures to a corner. Grabbing a pint of ale, chugs it down and grabs another.

"Please excuse me," Tibold says to the commander and those around him as he follows Thromkor to the pinnacle.
"Are you planning on engaging this manticore?"he asks Thromkor, glancing at Gotrek and back at the dragonborn. He continues speaking to Thromkor so softly that Gotrek can only hear if he listens very carefully.
"I could, perhaps, offer some support, maybe help if someone falls. The question is whether subtlety or making these people happy is more important. My way of helping, as you know, would be rather conspicuous."
Thromkor looks at Tibold as they climb. "I admit that this is very ... unusual for me. But this time is about stretching my wings, if you'll excuse the pun. My goal will be to stay out of harm's way and be content to provide support to the true warriors." His staff clunks noisily on the stairs as they hurry upward. "Two more reasons: I've never seen a manticore before. That should be interesting. And the more helpful we are to the Lord Commander, the more helpful he may be toward us. Besides, how will I ever know if I am naturally gifted at riding a griffon if I never try?" The dragonborn gives Tibold a curious look.
As Redleaf leans over and whispers into Lanoros' ear, he keeps a smile on his face and lets out a hearty laugh, "Well, I certainly wouldn't touch that bathroom after you let CArin in there. Lord Commander... How do you plan on the others claiming the head of the beast if everyone is mounted and flying?" He leans back in his chair, with his ale. "Is there anything you can tell us about our delegation? Maybe they passed through here. And I'm sure someone as highly regarded as the Feathergale Society should have been a pit stop on their journey."

Tibold grins for real this time.
"Well, we'll find out very soon, won't we?"he asks. As they near the top he pulls a piece of ivory from his pocket and mutters a phrase. A spectral keyboard, barely visible, appears in front of him, and Tibold pockets the ivory piece once more.
"There. Now when...er, if one of our 'true warriors' can't stay on their ride, I can at least give them a soft landing."
Led by two Knights and the sentry, the Lord Commander and Lady Savra make their way to the Pinnacle, they are accompanied by Lady Sirahane. They are followed in short order by Gotrek being ushered along by Thromkor, Tibold, Polly and Cole. When they arrive at the Pinnacle having climbed two floors, there is a great deal of activity on the Pinnacle and shortly afterwards four giant vultures ridden by Sir Donall and his colleagues fly up from somewhere lower. They are accompanied by 7 hippogriffs each of which is has attached to its saddle a quiver of javelins (5), a short bow and a quiver of 20 arrows.
It is now late afternoon and the valley is blanked in heavy snow laden clouds through which the sun which is now low in the sky occasionally breaks through. Fortunately the wind which was gusting over 35 mph has now dropped by about 10 mph to gusts of 25 mph (-2 on ranged attacks).
The Lord Commander looks over at Cole, Gotrek, Polly, Thromkor and Tibold and says “I can see I told Sir Donall to bring up too many mounts.”He continues “I understand why Madam Readleaf is not here, she is after all an elderly dwarf, but I don’t understand why the elf is not here as I thought he was some sort of hunter.” He looks at Polly and says “Birdman was I right in assuming you didn’t need a mount”, he then turns to Cole and says “I am sorry but I think you may be too small to control a Hippogriff but too the others I wish you the best of luck.”
Suddenly one of the knights yells out “there" as he points out a dark speck flying between a break in the clouds. As a group the knights yell out “Tally ho” as they take off. During the take-off, Sir Donall yells across to the party “will you fly with is or will you hunt on your own?”
After the party (Gotrek, Polly, Thromkor and Tibold) and knights take-off, the Lord Commander watches for a couple of minutes and then turns to those remaining on the Pinnacle and says “come let us go back down into the warmth, the sentry will inform us when they return.”He then turns and accompanied by Lady Sara and two knights walks back downstairs.
OOC: Cole to watch from the outside you had to go up to the Pinnacle which is what I assumed you were doing.
"I will staying with you." Gotrek says as he carefully puts down his Great-Axe, clumsily jumps into the saddle and takes off. "YEE-HAA!!"Gotek calls out as the hippogriph takes off, looking down at his quiver of javelins. "Been a while since I have had to rely on these, this should be fun."

Thromkor approaches the griffon with some hesitation, but the beast's relative control gives him a little confidence. Throwing his weight onto its back sidesaddle and then swinging his leg over, he grabs the reins and his ebony staff in both hands horizontally. The mount takes off a little behind the others and he follows the group, feeling more comfortable with each passing minute.
Polly scoffs at the Lord Commander. "Right you were mate, these feathers weren't just made for impressing the sheila's,"
With that he takes off into the air trailing Gotrek, trying his best to match the speed of the hippogriffs as not to be shown up by the flock of mounted terrestrials. Polly also can't help but throw in the occasional loop-to-loop or barrel roll to remind the others who's who.
As the party of well wishers gathers on the Pinnacle, there is a great fluttering of feathers and Sir Donnall dismounts from his vulture. He bows before the Lord Commander and presents him with the head of the Manticore. “The beast is dead” he says. “Well done my brave knight, the reward is yours”the Lord Commander says as he takes the ring from his finger and gives it to Sir Donnall.

She then turns to Cairn and points at Phantom. "Friend" she says as she pets phantom.
"Friend" she says as she pets Cairn.
"Don't eat her. Friend" she says to Cairn as she pets Phantom and feeds them both food.
"Now sit Cairn" Redleaf says as she pushes Cairns ass to the ground and sits next to her as she offers food to her.
