"The ****'s that!?"
Croak rubs his eyes at the sight of the owl. Standing up from his rest he wonders who's on watch and reaffirms his dislike for wizards, "Ahem, Dar, I think someone's.... here for you" He says loudly for the hour. Approaching the owl he attempts to retrieve the note between its beak.
Animal Handling: 18
(I don't believe Croak has "met" Fluffy yet. He is treating this situation as weird wizard jazz involving a normal owl)

Edit: Thought my last post didnt go through so tried to re-type it. Left the animal handling roll to avoid the "Tampered dice roll" message that pops up.
"What the hell is that racket!" The muffled words of Dar come from somewhere below, through the door. Taking the note from the owl; Croak has to step aside as the bird quickly flies back to Nathan, sensing that something isn't right.
Shalech, the owl passes you; closer than you would have liked. You begin to advance up the stairs to the third floor.
Fluffy returns to Nathan. The floor is otherwise quiet.
Urselles, you have the best breakfast you've ever had; eggs, sausage, pancakes, strawberries. All delicious.
After breakfast, Lura and Urselles head off to the church. Normand has already set up for morning prayer. Urselles sees that the church is packed. There are sudden gasps as many people see you and begin to become scared. They are quickly hushed by many around them, telling them; "No, she's a good one.", "She saved a life.", " She worships Eldath.", etc.
You walk in with Lura to the front of the church, all eyes upon you until Normand begins the morning prayer. "Chauntea, blessings on her and her bounty, may you grant out fields and bodies good health and fertility. We now pray in silence for your guidance and blessings." The entire church bows their heads, and prays.
When Fluffy returns to Nathan, he sees that the note is gone. He is quite scared, and gets himself ready for whatever, hoping that the others will arrive soon.
Croak cracks open the front door, making sure not to go beyond and accidentally triggering the defences. The sky beyond is red from the morning sun. Behind you, you can hear Dar coming up some stairs.
Nathan, you can see Shalech coming up the stairs. You also hear movement coming from Isa's room.
After a few minutes of silence, Normand quietly speaks up. "For those that are still praying, please still continue. May Chauntea's grace be felt by you and your prayers. Let her hand guide your actions as you help each other and the land. Bless you all."
Roughly a third of the people rise and begin to leave, the remainder are still praying. You feel a familiar, but different, presence. You realize that Chauntea is now watching over you.
Pulling the note out of Theodore's door, Shalech opens it up. You read; "The Ghost Prince came for me last night. I saw his face, saw through his face. He knew I was a wizard; could sense it somehow. Flew right through the wall, like the tower defenses meant nothing. He told me his name and that I must join him in immortality or I will die in three days. I will not be here when he returns.
You guys are great and all, but I can learn magic in many places; most of which won't have dead guys threatening my life. I wish you luck, but I'm not waiting til dawn to tell you this. I'm getting my horse and leaving. Farewell, Theodore."
(Theodore is leaving the group due to being AFK for too long. I have a player in the waiting list thread that I am currently directing towards Northbank. He is playing a Tortle Ranger and I think he would be a good replacement, if you all are okay with him joining the main campaign.)
"Okay, okay, I'm coming!" The door opens and Isa is standing there, half covered in robe, revealing her sleepwear. "What is it?!" She insists aggressively.
"No, it was fine; why? What's wrong?!" She starts rubbing sleep out of one eye, while doing what looks like preparing to cast a cantrip with the ring on her other hand.
Shalech explains while gently guiding her hand back down to her side, "Theodore was visited by your ghost. He decided to leave in the middle of the night instead of deal with it. I was worried you may have been visited again. That is all."

"Ugh Dar, you might want to see this..."
Croak reads the note and takes a look around to gain an idea of about what time it is.

Shalech will knock on Isa's door.
"One moment." You hear Isa's voice reply. "Getting ready." Shalech, you see that a note is wedged into Theodore's door.
Another note?
Shalech walks over to read the new note.

((Makes sense.))
Shalech returns to Isa's door and knocks again, a bit more urgently.
"Okay, okay, I'm coming!" The door opens and Isa is standing there, half covered in robe, revealing her sleepwear. "What is it?!" She insists aggressively.
Ignoring Isa's displeasure, Shalech asks, "You slept well? Was not disturbed?"
Isa looks terrified. "It was here? But... the defenses. How could it go through them? I... I thought I was safe..."
Dar starts heading upstairs, not stopping to talk to Croak. His metallic step can be heard coming up the stairs.
