The Wizard's Challenge

Eliath joins Urselles in sternly glaring at Kizori; a look of disappointment on her face.

Shalech watches Eliath and Urselles look sternly at Kizori, then looks sternly back at them and asks, "How exactly are we supposed to resolve this, if not shouting?  If you have no suggestions, then you have no leg to stand on."

"Well, Urselles was in the middle of cautiously approaching it, that was our 'suggestion'.  Looked like it was working better too." Eliath replies as the dragon plops back down.

Urselles looks back at two and sighs, she was nervous, she slowly approached the dragon and gently placed one of her hands on it's head, she spoke to it softly "hi there, I am Urselles, Cleric of Eldath these are my friends with me, don't worry, we're all here to help you"

The dragon digs a small ditch beneath it and rest its head on a mound of dirt.  Urselles finds herself dodging globs of earth.  The creature rests there, seemingly waiting.

In the distance Joran can be heard returning with Dar and Isa.  As soon as they get near, Joran points them in your direction, then heads further in town.

Urselles continues forward

Nathan casts [spell[Detect Magic[/spell] on the "dragon." He is really worried about Urselles.

An aura of magic radiates around the dragon, and a small amount can be sensed from your decanter.

Does anything happen when Urselles talks to it 

Urselles, nothing more happens beyond what is mentioned above.  Dar calls out; "What is she doing?" As he approaches the situation.

"Master Dar, this 'dragon' here is actually a badger that has been magically transformed. Unfortunately I don't know the spell that was used. Do you have any way of turning it back to a normal animal?"

"Hmm."

"Must by Polymorph, likely permanently enchanted; but why would someone do this?" Dar asks confused.  "Where did this thing come from?"

Kizori asks of Eliath, "Can Eldath help us with why?" 

(Sorry been really busy with work.)

(Its okay, I'm at a larp event so my time is pretty occupied too, lol.)

Eliath tries to communicate with Eldath; but receives no answer to her request.

Isa watches everything, half hidden behind the ruined wall of a nearby structure.

At sight of Joran and Dar, "Great, the wizard is back."

"Hey turtleboy, time for some details on this monster."

Urselles turns to Dar ”isn’t there anything your magic would be able to do to fix this”

Looking at Dar, Shalech can only shake his head, "I don't know.  Ghosts, thieves and polymorphed badgers.  Someone has it out for this town."

"You may be right Shalech.  And if any of you can tell me which direction it came from, I may be able to figure out whom." Dar says; as he pulls out his spellbook.

Eliath speaks up; "The trail came from the woods north of town.  Just left a path of devastation from there to here."

"The woods?" Dar says.  "But the only thing in there is..." He trails off for a moment.  "No, couldn't be.  No one knows it's there."

“Dar, what’s in the woods, what would no one know about”

"What is it, Master Dar?"

Nathan studies Dar to see what he might mean and how he feels about whatever he is talking about, the thing in the woods.
