"Just Oswald being his usual ignorant self.  He doesn't believe that the dangers are a threat, that no one is going to be hurt.  He's wrong!" Dar replies, shouting the last part at Oswald's door.

Having just walked up to Oswald's home in time to hear Dar's rant, Shalech questions aloud, "Do you wonder if he's being influenced or is maybe involved?  Maybe you shouldn't trust him at all."

“I’m not sure, I know I don’t trust him thought”

"Who is Oswald? Has he seen the things happening here?"

“Oswal is the towns mayor, he’s stopped the supporting the struggling district for his view of new Northbank. He’s charismatic to, convincing most of the voting population to support him” Urselles says, a clear distaste for the man

Shalech muses, "There's nothing worse than a charismatic bastard."  Shaking his head briefly, he snaps out of it and addresses Dar, "Dar, we've returned from Isa's.  Han did find necromantic evidence on walls in her home.  We also returned with Kyristan's letters.  Maybe they can help decipher the journals.  Although, Isa will be helping read the letters, but not in their entirety, to respect her privacy.  Words here and there among the letters."

"Aye, you are right, there are more pressing matters than complaining about Oswald." Dar replies, and begins walking towards his home.  Normand waves farewell and heads towards the church.

As Dar walks he adds; "Plus I have to teach Nathan a spell before tomorrow; or you'll be unable to find the Wizards Guild."

If Nathan listens to Dar speak, and then he turns to him: "I am looking forward to it, Master Dar. Also, Isa remembered that the creature that visited her was referring to becoming a "spectral wizard." Have you heard about anything like this or do you know where we could find out more? As Shalech already mentioned, we saw traces of necrotic magic in the house everywhere it went. Unfortunately, it seems that it is able to go through walls."

If there is anything else that the player does not remember but Nathan does, he tells it to Dar :)

Dar shakes his head.  "If there is any place that would have information about that, it'll be in those books." He leads you all back to the journals.

“Alright then, let’s get to figuring this out”

"Of course, Master Dar. Is there any way that I can help you with the books and the letters?"

"I'm sure that I'll need all the assistance I can get." Dar replies, beginning to arrange the journals before him.  "Where did you put the letters?"

Kizori approaches the door and knocks gingerly, "If he's the mayor then he is who I need to talk to." 

“Kizori he invited us over for dinner we can talk to him then”

"I hid them in my room, I put them in an envelope that I taped to the matress under my bed." Nathan runs up to the room to get the letters.

Isa takes the letters from you as you return and begins opening them.  Dar takes a moment to asks her; "Would it be possible for you to try to read those letters without your ring on?" 

This pauses her for a moment, and then she struggles but eventually pulls the ring off her plump finger.  She opens the letter, and then looks at it confused.  "I... I can't.  Everything is moving around too much."

"That was my suspicion." Dar replies, before picking up the ring and slipping it on his finger.  He then turns to the journal and opens the first page.  "Yes, I am able to start making out words.  But the pages are still moving them around."

He turns back to Isa; "You know the movement patterns; can you keep track of the words I point out?"  "I can try." She replies.

He then turns towards Nathan.  "I'm going to need your eyes as well; write down all the words that don't move."  He then readies himself to begin the task.

After the drama at the Mayor's House, Croak turns to the group.

"I'm afraid I won't be of any use deciphering this magic business. I'll be at The Clansman blowing off some steam."

He turns toward the tavern and departs. He sure is glad that Isa prepared some food earlier but Croak is indeed thirsty.

Kizori nods at Urselles, "Okay. I'm going to go get an axe, and start cutting timber." Kizori meanders over to the blacksmith to inquire about a lumber axe.

"Of course!"
