Keyleth, Faen and Radagast slowly ease the door open and make their way into the room. Its dimly lit due to the heavy drapes that cover the windows. Throughout the room they see kobolds sitting at tables, grouped together in places or by themselves. There must be around 20 in the room. You begin to pick out targets to start your attacks...
You three please roll for perception... and make your attack rolls
Meanwhile Ransyl and Kirinar wait outside the door listening for the sounds of the battle to begin.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Keyleth fires a crossbow bolt at the nearest kobold she can see and then, provided there is a clear pathway, retreats back out through the door.
Perception: 9
Attack: 6 Damage: 9
OoC: I think last time we had a situation like this we did not get advantage for being unseen. If unseen attacker advantage applies, then it also triggers sneak attack for an additional 1d6 damage (contingency rolls in the spoiler).
Keyleth aims at the nearest kobold but realizes that it looks old and a non-combatant. She changes targets to what looks like a warrior and fires killing the creature.
Faen fires an arrow from her new bow but she isn't quite familiar with it yet and her shot misses.
Radagast casts chill touch at a group and hits one.
As the combat begins you see that most of the kobolds start to run away from you but a few move towards you. You make your way out the door and wait for them to follow. But a few seconds pass and you realize that none have followed you out the door. You hear noises from the other side and it sounds like they are barricading the door to keep you out.
Kirinar will beat on the door with his morningstar a few times, just to keep the kobolds busy on the other side... He doesn't want to actually break the door down, but it wouldn't make any sense if they just walked away. "Can we move to the west and maybe get to those center buildings?" he asks casually between swings.
As you stand outside the door trying to decide what to do you hear the Kobolds inside begin yelling at you in common. Much of it are curses, threats and mockery. One thing you do pick out of everything that is said is that Nox will make you pay. You hear the name Nox several times all invoked in threats against you.
”Before we go I’d like to say apologies on behalf of our group here. We came with no intention of physical conflict, but, when words seemed to fail with some of the guards, we demoted ourselves to it and we are sorry,” Faen shouts in Draconic, trying to heard over the commotion inside.
And when Faen finishes speaking in the weird language of the kobolds, Kirinar will yell in common, "Tell Nox I got something for him!" and hit the door again with the morningstar.
"OK, let's go quickly while they are distracted!" he says softly to the others and leads them to the west...
The group moves back across the bridge and across to the west side. As you pass through the gazebo and out into the open you begin to cross the broken bridge. The terrain is difficult to cross (half speed movement) and you pick your way to the gap. You reach the gap and see that it is about 10 feet wide. Looking down in the water you can see crocodiles swimming.
Ahead you can see the gazebo on the far side about 50 feet away It is intact and drapes cover the openings.
"Think we can jump this without landing on the crocodiles?" the fighter asks. "Maybe we can tie a rope to whoever is jumping to quickly pull them out if needed..." Kirinar will pull the rope from his pack and offer to tie it to his own waist and jump first if no one else wants to give it a go.
If Kirinar jumps first, here is his Athletics roll: 24
"You may be able to. I don't think I can," Keyleth replies. "If you think you can make it holding the rope, I'll climb across after you. I'll go ahead and secure the end of the rope on this side before you jump, so the last one across isn't stuck holding the end." She takes out a hammer and piton and begins to fasten the rope to the bridge.

The door is made of wood.

"Yes, let's go around. No reason to force through here if there's another way we can go."

Kirinar, ties the rope to his waist, takes a running start, and leaps for the far side as if his life depended on it. (Well...it very well might!!)
(See the Athletics roll from my previous post =)

Kirinar easily crosses the gap with his jump and lands safely on the other side.
Ransyl
”Ok, I’ll go next. Have your crossbows at the ready when I become crocodile food.”
Ransyl ties himself off, prepared himself, takes a deep breath, and sprints toward the gap leaping at the very last minute...
