As Ransyl opens the conversation with the kobold, hopefully occupying her attention, Keyleth slips out in front, scanning the bridge for hidden hazards.
Kirinar stands at the start of the bridge next to Ransyl, his armor gleaming in the light as he holds his shield up to ward off any sudden attacks. The morning star is held at his side, but visible. His stance is meant to convey confidence and power, deadly intent restrained by the potential for peaceful negotiations...
“We have been charged by the people of Mire’s Edge to seek peace in these lands again - so that commerce and travelers may once again travel freely in this area without risking their lives or losing their goods.”
Ransyl pauses, turns his neck to a satisfying crackle of vertebrae, smiles in relief and continues, “Do you need more information than that?”
"And how do I know that you do not plan to try to kill the master after you get access to him? What if all you say is a ruse to wipe us out? I would like to see our communities have better relations, to live in peace."
Ransyl turns to his compatriots and quietly asks, “What do you think? I got nothing but threats and spear tips.”
Turning back to the guard, “We have only harmed those who showed themselves as a threat. There is a building full of your children and elderly that we spared. That is a show of our good faith.”
"My name is Yuty, and I guard the gate to our leader, Nox. We do not wish to have trouble with the neighboring settlements, but Wruenele pushed the clan, and Nox, to try and take over the area. He wanted the Black Claw clan to run this whole area. With him now gone, perhaps there is a good chance that there can be peace. Both Nox and I wish to have peace. "
She shifts her spear from one hand to the other and then back again, taking the opportunity to wipe her brow.
"Please, deal well with Nox. We know there are problems between us and the lizardfolk, and the people of Mire's Edge."
Her gaze hardens a bit as she looks to the three of you
"But you cannot deal honestly with us with one of you hidden from view. I know there are four of you. Where is the fourth? I will not allow you access to Nox until the fourth is found."
Keyleth thinks for a moment about how she even can end the effects of the potion, and remembers that it ends only if she makes an attack or casts a spell. Making an arcane gesture, she causes the sound of a thunderclap to emanate from her position (minor illusion) at which point she becomes visible again.
OoC: So much for that very rare magic item I just blew. Ah well. :-)

Intimidation: 6
(Boo!!)
Love God. Love Others. Any Questions?
The kobold stares at you for a moment. At the mention of Wruenele she scowls and spits on the ground.
"Where is that snake then? Is the sorcerer hiding under his bed cushions? "
Ransyl Intimidation: 12
“Wruenele breathes no more. We offered a peaceful resolution, but he declined. It sounds like we did you a favor.”
OoC: Did Faen find out anymore information about the wand or ring they found?
The kobold smiles at hearing the news of Wruenele's death.
"I for one will not mourn the death of that pitiful creature."
You can see that she relaxes a bit but is still obviously on guard.
"So you wish to see the master? You say you wish to seek peace? Explain yourself."

Ransyl, roll persuasion with advantage please.

Sorry, advantage

OOC - I’ll take the 18, please...
The kobold relaxes even more.
"My name is Yuty, and I guard the gate to our leader, Nox. We do not wish to have trouble with the neighboring settlements, but Wruenele pushed the clan, and Nox, to try and take over the area. Keyleth backs up to stand beside Ransyl and leans in to whisper in his ear, "Your call."

Anton Chergoba | Human | Battlemaster 4 | Lost Mines of Phandelver (AC 20; PP 14; 36/36 HP)
Ransyl nods, "of course we wanted to be cautious as well. As a secondary act of good faith, my friend will release her spell."
Keyleth thinks for a moment about how she even can end the effects of the potion, and remembers that it ends only if she makes an attack or casts a spell. Making an arcane gesture, she causes the sound of a thunderclap to emanate from her position (minor illusion) at which point she becomes visible again.

OOC - sorry about that, it was a good call though. I guess we could have dressed you up invisible man-style
OoC: Haha. I'm not disagreeing with the call. I knew going in it may not have ended up providing any benefit. It was a gamble.
