Kim uses her whisper spell to contact each of the members. "Should I call out to them and try to negotiate with them? We can use Klarg's head as proof. Or do we want to use a surprise attack? Raise left arm for talking and right for attacking."

After whispering to everyone Kim watches for a response. 

 Gramgran

Gramgran keeps both arms down, letting the group decide how to tackle this problem. Oh to be young again, choosing your way through life. I wonder how these young ones will decide?

Renvalm Hellhelm
Lvl 2 | Human | Barbarian  

In response to Kim's question, Renvalm simply lifts up Klarg's severed head with his right hand.

Yuri

Raises his left arm into the air. Talking to these goblins makes some sense, the group need to find Gundren and there has been no sign of him so far within the cave. Seeing Klarg's grizzly severed head in Renvalm's hand he wonders if that might be useful to intimidate the remaining goblins.

Morpetor 

Seeing another battle in their immediate future, Morpetor casts Mage Armor on himself. Is every body with ranged attack ready for a sneak attack on these guys?

OOC - how far are they from the entrance?

Theyre not at the entrance. You all are headed south west in the cave tunnels. They're deeper in the cave, possibly another cavern. 

Morpetor starts to raise his right arm and then realizes it might be best to get to the bottom of their missing patron. He slowly raises his left hand. 

“Let’s talk.”

Taking the tally, Kim lights a torch of her own, releases the swirling cold around her and calmly walks forward, following the voices as if they were a siren's song. When they are visible, does the equivalent to a cough clearing sound but for goblins to gain their attention.

She speaks in goblin, "We come here in search of our employer, we do not wish to cause anymore harm today. Please one of you meet me half way in distance to speak on terms. You leave your allies and weapons behind and I will do the same!" 

She looks back to the group and nods to them, as to assure them to trust this deal as long as the goblins do. 

She thinks to herself how great it is to have another goblin speaker in the group so he can know if they start to make any false moves.

Kim hands her weapons over to Gramgran, very obviously so that the goblins see and understand she is taking her word seriously. She even moves her cloak so they can see nothing is hidden underneath. As she hands over her amulet to Gramgran, she cast one more whisper to her. "I am trying to be honest and not have any weapons, but i will be powerless without this amulet. If things go bad, please throw this at me. I just need to tough it to cast a spell. Even if you hit me center of my back i will at least have a brief moment that i can protect myself." She smiles to Gramgran and slowly starts making her way towards the middle of the distance.

OOC- I know this isn't for sure how things will work out, but instead of writing small steps I figured I would give you my plan. If it works, it saves us time. If you need something to happen at a certain point or change something, just let me know. :)

As Kim passes Yuri, he gives her a solemn nod. He knows he wouldn't approach the goblins unarmed like this. As the light from her torch dies away, he motions to Morpetor and Gramgran and heads down the tunnel, getting closer to the goblins so does not need to strain to hear their voices.

As he waits in the dark, he places both hands on his longsword and focusses on what is to come.

As Kim enters the cave, she can see 5 goblins (smaller red markers) sitting around the fire pit directly to the west. To the south, a larger goblin (larger red marker) stands above. This large cave is divided in half by a ten-foot-high escarpment. A steep natural staircase leads from the lower portion to the upper ledge. The air is hazy with the smoke of a cooking fire, and pungent from the smell of poorly cured hides and unwashed goblins. The larger goblin is quick to move close to a human Kim recognizes as Sildar Hallwinter (green marker). Sildar is bloody, looking very weak and bound. "Truce! Or this human dies!" yells the larger goblin from above in Goblin. "Who are you ad what do you want?" The 5 goblins begin to stand up, but do not act as if they are going to attack. Yuri has moved into the cavern enough to see everything that has taken place. 

Morpetor 

“What’s going on out there? Is she still alive?”

Kim walks towards the larger goblin after asking for him to meet closer without weapons and harming herself. Does the larger goblin follow suit? If so, she will speak to him calmly. "I am Kimberly Stormwell. Who are you? My allies and I have come here in search of our employer. We only wish to grab him and bring him back. We do not want to harm anyone else. If you are asking who we have harmed I can give some proof, but I would rather not have to do so. I also have some influence outside of this group of adventurers, but i dont see a need in such affairs. Can we make a deal?"

Yuri relays what he can see to the others. "She's talking to them. There's five in a group around a fire. They're about 10 feet away from the entrance."

Craning his neck to get a better view. He continues, whispering "There's a big goblin, away from the group, with Sildar. Sildar looks bad. The big goblin wants a truce or Sildar dies."

As Yuri listens to the goblin, he grips his sword with both hands. He is trying to see if this big goblin is being truthful, or if he's likely to kill Sildar regardless of what we do.

Insight 24

Morpetor 

“If things go poorly in the talks, then we need to be ready to focus our ranged attack on the big goblin to give Sildar a chance at escape. We may still have an element of surprise left.”

"I am Yeemik! And donts come any closer. I'll kill this hooman!" Yeemik removes a small blade, but does not appear that he is going to use it right now. "A deal huh? Well there is a leader here. We dont like him much. He lives on the other side of the cave. I want him gone, then I may give you the hooman." Yuri is unsure of Yeemik's current intentions. 

Kim lets a small smile spread across her face. "We will take care of him for you. It will take us less than 5 minutes to go take care of the situation. I will bring you his head as proof. Will this satisfy you? We want the human, and any information you have on the whereabouts of the other one that was traveling with him. Do we have a deal?"

Yuri continues giving information to the others "The big one is called Yemik? Yehmik? Yeemik?" He shakes his head, "It doesn't matter."

He looks towards Renvalm. "He wants the head of that Bugbear. We'd get Sildar and hopefully find out where Gundren is."

Morpetor 

“Well, that works out well for us.”

Renvalm Hellhelm
Lvl 2 | Human | Barbarian 

Renvalm will walk to where Yuri is and tries to get a better idea of the situation. "I'm not about to trust this Yeemik who so easily turns against his leader. We need to be careful with dealing with him."

When Yeemik responds to Kim, Renvalm will try and see if he his lying.

She continues to observe these beauties who are learning at such a quick rate to work together, even though they are so very young.
