"Thank you." Gemini nods. They bounce the book back and forth between their hands. They think about eating the cashier just for fun, but they think that would be completely dumb. Doesn't stop them from imagining though. They sigh but with a smile. "Yes, I want to know more on these new people. I have never seen the likes of them before! As a priest, I want to be able to welcome them. Have you heard of them before? Any... anecdotal evidence?"

"Well, I live in Stoneyard in Lower Northedge. It's a bit of a hike. There are lot of Shifters there right now. Good people. Refugees from Eldeen Reaches mostly, but there're some folks been here for generations too. There's a young lady there, shy, about my age i think. She claws out every time we try to talk. I can't imagine dealing with that is easy."
"Anyway, Library is probably your best bet for a lot of research, but that's a pretty good primer you picked up."
"Claws? Are they like werewolves?" they tilt their head in feigned confusion. "I mean, aw, poor girl. That must be hard."
They don't really stay to chat but decide to pop open the book and start flipping through it as they walk out. Heading to the library, they try to find any interesting chapters. Possibly something they can mimic into. They hope to meet up with the gang once there, but more than ever they want to change out of this disguise like an old pair of clothes.

"Shall we try and find our other companion in the university grounds?" Yesphira asked the group, "I'm not sure how they will look, given they may have... been affected by the teleport." She catches herself before revealing too much to others not in the group that they are in fact shifted into their current forms. "Any ideas on where to look first?"
"Probably the Library." Hashi states. "If I hadn't found nati..locals when I first came that's where I would head first. The knowledge they have...food, people, culture, magic ....Yeah, I'd go to the library." She seems to be already looking for the library, and very certain that that's where anyone would go, no matter what other logic there is.
As you loosely follow your misadventure cohorts to the Library, you pick up the following from your copy of "Shifters of Khovaire":
Changelings are a fey humanoid race who are related to doppelgangers and share their shapeshifting qualities and capacity for disguise. They love warm milk.
Doppelgangers are monstrous humanoids infamous for their innate shapeshifting abilities, which allow them to mimic almost any humanoid creature. Their presence will curdled milk.
A gingwatzim is a small peculiar abberation created by a spell or a ritual drawing on spirit energy from the Ethereal Plane.
Shifters, also known as the weretouched, possess just a small portion of their forefathers' shape-shifting abilities. They can shift parts of their body to become animal-like for short periods of time. In 832 YK, the Church of the Silver Flame led an inquisition to wipe out all lycanthropes in Khorvaire, and shifters got caught up in it.
Barghests superficially resemble lupine goblinoids, a goblin–wolf hybrid with monstrous jaws and razor-sharp claws.
Dhakaani are known to keep mimics as guards. Mimics are typically low intelligence, but some have been rumored to learn the common tounge .
Books about the history of the city, college, and area, maybe some books about magic theory. A recent fashion book. She is just looking for the location of the books so she can find them later.
(( Easy enough, you get that from the directory without even needing to engage the staff. Oddly enough, or maybe not, the directory is in multiple languages including Elvish, Draconic, Infernal, Abyssal, and Dwarven. Of course, you only recognize the languages you are familiar with. Strange again how you can understand everyone here and they you. As if their basic common tounge is close enough to your own, but that can't be right. ))
The Library seems to have been organized by some clique-ish nit. History of the college, city and current events are on the main floor, historic and current information about the area, nations, geography and peoples is on the second floor. Fashion current and past is with art and design on the third floor along with Elven and extraplaner studies. Magic, alchemy, artific, and bardic studies fourth, fifth, and sixth floors with some odd subdivisions. The seventh floor is dedicated to engineering, physics, and mathematics. The eighth floor is dedicated to religious studies. Lastly the note on the upper floors is "archives - speak with staff for appointment and approval".
There are reading nooks, tables, standing areas, comfortable areas, etc.
Gemini absorbs all this information about the history. They internally scoff at the depiction of mimics, though also slightly agree at the same time. 'Petty creatures.' What throws them off is that the mention of milk for both changelings and doppelgangers. They wonder do they actually curdle milk, and if that same thing happens for them too. They... they actually do enjoy the taste of milk, honestly a lot more than anything (other than humanoid flesh), so they can say that the book is a least bit accurate. They wonder where the author is from.
They soon enough enter the library and try to find a nice quiet corner to shapeshift in. They go and decide on the same form they had started off with (since that would be the one the others would know them in). They do think it would be better to have shorter hair however, making it a mullet instead of a full waist length down. They also decide to throw off these clothes and into the ones that they had bought.
((Stealth: 10))
They aren't as stealthy as they thought. They look around for both anyone who might have seen them or any of their friends.

Sharn stands above the Dagger River and its eastern tributary, the Hilt. It’s an important port for anyone dealing with Aerenal, Xen’drik, or Sarlona. Mountains line the shores of the Dagger, and Sharn can’t spread out. So instead it has grown ever upward.
The city is primarily made up of these quarters:
Central Plateau Dura Menthis Plateau Northedge Tavick’s Landing At the hub of each of these quarters is a cluster of enormous core towers. A web of bridges and platforms connects many of these vast spires, and smaller turrets sprout from the edges of the core towers. The district of Skyway floats above the highest towers, while the tunnels of the Cogs stretch out below the lower city.
In between those extremes, each of the quarters is divided into an upper ward, a middle ward, and a lower ward. Each ward is made up of a number of districts, so that the location of a place in Sharn can be expressed with a combination of a ward name and a district name.))

Belgama bids Dallan farewell with promises to "hook up back at that tavern" tomorrow evening.
"We're looking for a few friends who were supposed to be with us."
With an invitation to stop by the Clifftop guild.
She then follows Grim, Hashi, and Yesphira.
The trip to the library is easy enough.
There are a few patrons and librarians in the multi-floored cylindrical building.

(( So, Sorry, PC's - a terribly busy week. ))
Hashi: It's easy to locate a map of Sharn. (For a silver, you can have one - allowing you not to get lost within Sharn.)
Gemini:
No one saw you shift. You do easily catch up with your allies once you exit the little nook.
Hashi will buy a map.
Hashi will buy a map and then study it.
OOC: After she buys the map, is Sharn a public city that I can find a map online, just for easy reference.
