Togar flies to the south, keeping his eye on the bandits leader, sending a bolt of fire toward him. “Why don’t you give up now, before all of you die…”. The bolt targets him and burns but does not seem to be as potent as he would like.
Movement : south 20-30 feet.
Action : Fire bolt targeting the bandit captain : 19 to hit, for 2 points of fire damage.
After Kulloda expertly takes out Bandit A and Mother Anachain regains control of the wagon, her blast hits the leader but he doesn't take his eyes off his prey.
As Deniz attempts to hit the leader, the man is intent on him and dodges his thrashes with ease. The firebolt was unexpected though and he looks up, surprised to see an owlin in the air.
The leader attacks with his scimitar and the first one hits one of Deniz's illusions, it also disappearing in a cloud of mist. His second attack hits the last illusion and seeing it disappear as well, the mans smile widens into a grin, his rotten teeth showing now. His last attack is with his dagger and it sinks in with 6 piercing damage
"Die? I think not!" cries a voice from the forest and out burst another leader and two more bandits with him. The leader charges at Kulloda seeing that he was the one that dropped his lacky in one stab. He attacks with his scimitar and dagger, his first attack missing, but his second two finding their mark, giving Kulloda 11 piercing damage.
Bandit B slices at Deniz but misses.
The two bandits pull out their crossbows and fire bolts at Togar. The first one hitting him with 5 piercing damage.
The elf raises his staff vertically, then with a loud Elvish cry of "ton taranau" he spears it down to the ground at his feet. There is a sound like a peal of thunder, and leaves and dust go flying outwards with the strength of the sonic force.
Seeing more bandits emerge, Anachain is temporarily confuzzled about who to attack - Continuing to attack the original leader seems wise to try and take them down quickly and then move targets... But she fears if the two closest to her attack her she may not be able to help anyone, not even herself. With that thought she turns her focus to Bandit C and spits out a curse in the old language and makes a flicking gesture with her pinkie finger at them. ((BA Hex)) Next she changes her hand gesture to one which gathers up Eldritch energies from the weave and then shoves them out at the same target... ((Action Eldritch Blast))
Eldritch Blast vs Bandit C: 10to hit for 1force damage and 1necrotic damage from Hex... Ok, perhaps it was my own rolls which were hexed... Though I guess the time to roll minimum damage is on a miss?
((Question... The horses and cart are still moving. Can Anachain steer them as a free action? If so, can she steer them towards Bandit Leader A? Specially if he is Thunderwaved back but even if not he looks like a possible target for trampling without hitting any friendlies...))
Togar looks down at his vest and sees a bolt sticking out of it, near his shoulder. Blood starts to arise at the hole and a furious look appears on his face. "Ow! What did you do! Look at what you did! A hole in my vest!" He turns to the two bandits leveling their crossbows at him, scowling at them. "Just go to sleep, why don't you!"
Movement : turns and looks to the south, hovering about 10-15 feet above the ground.
Action : Casts sleep on the two bandits who appeared to the south. He aims the spell to catch the two bandits, putting 25 hp of monsters to sleep with the spell.
Kulloda looks down happily at the dead bandit at his feet. He wonders if he should cut off the head now or wait until they’re all dead. But before he decides, another poncy feather-capped bandit comes out of the woods slashing and stabbing.
Caught between wanting to cut off a head and attack the new captain, Kulloda’s aim isn’t as true as it should be. (10 to hit for 17 slashing plus 2 necrotic).
Kulloda's swing goes wide as he attempts to hit the incoming captain, and now that he is up close and personal, he sees that this captain is a ma'am. A rough looking one at that, but is what she is.
There is indeed now a hole in Togar's vest as well as his blood pooling and staining it too. As he casts his spell, bandit C falls to the ground, his crossbow falling from his hands and is fast asleep. Bandit D waivers a bit as the pull of sleep almost gets him but he takes a deep breath and remains standing.
Mother Anachain changes her focus from bandit C to bandit D after C falls to the ground asleep, though in doing this and with the cart out of control, her blast goes wide. The horses are slowing down now with no one holding the reins. She leans over to grab the reins and in doing so yanks hard and spooks the two horses. They take a sharp turn left, picking up speed.
The wave hitting the ground that emerges from Deniz's staff takes the bandits completely by surprise. Both the bandit captain and bandit B take the brunt of it and are pushed 10' away from the elf. The captain almost runs his back into the retreating wagon, but holds his footing just in time.
Bandit captain A snears and continues to keep his eye on the prize if you will and stalks right back to Deniz. He attacks with gusto and his scimitar attacks both hit, delivering 15 slicing damage. Bandit B notices the wagon running off and knowing the captain would be none too pleased if all that loot disappeared, he changes to his crossbow and fires. The bolt headed for Mother Anachain doesn't make it's mark however.
The she captain hits Kulloda hard with her first hit this round, letting both scimitar attacks deliver 15 slicing damage. Seeing what bandit B was attempting to do, she throws her dagger towards Mother Anachain, her aim being much better, and it sticks in the back of her shoulder, giving MA 5 piercing damage.
Bandit C continues to sleep and bandit D attempts to hit Togar again. His bolt sores true, but surprisingly only delivers 5 piercing damage.
The elf slumps to one knee, bleeding heavily from multiple wounds. With head drooping, he murmurs a single word ("iachau") and the bleeding is magically staunched. Then without another word he slumps face down to the ground with a long, low groan... which becomes louder and his body elongates... his limbs splay out and grow claws... a thick tail sprouts and grows... his slender body thickens and the cloak forms into a hard, scaly hide with sharp frills down the back...
Within a matter of seconds the prone elf is replaced with a giant green jungle iguana, as large as a horse. A long tongue flicks out hungrily with a loud hiss as the lizard turns its beady eyes to the bandit captain...
Anachain, at least for a moment or three, is busier trying to reign in the runaway team than track the events of the battlefield. This does not go well for her as she finds herself taking a dagger into the back of her shoulder as she is distracted. She yells out a profanity... Because it hurt and all. She tries to reach back and pull it out but unfortunately it's in just the wrong spot to grab, for the moment, and so it remains there.
((Second Animal Handling check to try to regain control: 8 - She not nearly as good with horses as she thought. Or maybe they're just spooked? Yeah, that's it. It's not her fault at all!))
"Ummm, guys?" Anachain calls out uncertainly once she is able to survey the field once more. "There.... There's a big lizard now!!"
This is a surprising turn of events. Not that Anachain had never heard of anyone changing shape before, she'd probably even seen it a few times before, but her attention was elsewhere so she has no idea how this big lizard ended up in her backyard and she is quite certain she can't afford to feed it! Perhaps it eats bandits though? With that cheerful thought she takes aim at Bandit D again. Partly just to (hopefully) prove she can hit the damn guy but also so that Togar isn't facing them alone. Anachain has a lot more faith that Kulloda can handle himself and as to whatever happened to the victim they were trying to save... Well teammates come first.
Eldritch Blast vs Bandit D: 22 to hit for 7 force damage! No additional Hex damage as that is on Bandit C... ((Speaking of Hex, Con Save to maintain concentration: 19, all good...))
At this point Anachain is just trying to use her free action to get the cart to stop wherever...
Myrth, for their part, is mostly useless in such a situation. The Invisible Imp (tm pending) heads towards the She-Captain bandit and lands on her back... The imp uses his clawed hands and feet to jump from her back to her arm to her leg and to her other leg. None of this is harmful but hopefully it is distracting and can help if someone attacks her?
Kulloda grunts then laughs when the bandit slashes him with her sword. It hurt but given his amped up state, not nearly as much as the captain expected (resistance due to Rage).
He spares a glance at the lizard and raises an eyebrow. "Lizard ate elf." Kulloda pronounces.
When he casts his attention back to the bandit, he notices she's squirming a little as if something has gotten on to the back of her neck.
Using that little distraction, Kulloda hacks away again at the captain.
Godsbane (w/ Advantage): (13 to hit for 10+2=12 slashing plus 5 necrotic)
A look of consternation comes over Togar’s face as another hole appears in his vest, blood pooling around it, somehow it made its way through his shimmering mage armor and through to his body. “They are not playing around, are they…”. He sees the wagon veering and heading toward the bandit captain, he flies downward and toward the east, seeking to gain cover just to the north behind it from bandit D and his crossbow. He focuses his mind on bandit captain B, using his helm to poke around inside of his mind.
“You there… you are all wrong. Turn and stop swinging at the elf and the half-orc, instead take your sword and go chop down that naughty bandit captain in front of you, then that fellow with the crossbow….and then give yourself up, why don’t you?”
The she-captain screams out in surprise as something invisible lands on her back and moves around, moving jarringly enough that Kulloda's swing slices the air right where her head was moments ago.
Mother Anachain's blast burns bandit D and he looks around wildly trying to figure out where it came from. With the spooked horses however, MA moves further away from the battlefield as they all wonder how the giant lizard appeared.
The words from Togar slink into bandit captain B's brain, she smiles crookedly and gripping her scimitar she starts stepping up towards the other bandit captain...who is currently flabbergasted at what has just happened in front of him.
(to be continued in the morning. Sorry this is has been slower than I'd like)
Not noticing his partner slinking towards him, the captain is still baffled by what he sees in front of him. Not wanting to be swallowed by it, he attacks with his scimitar and dagger against the giant lizard, slicing into the green flesh twice, delivering 11 damage.
The she captain, continues towards the captain with Togar's words swirling around in her brain. She attacks her partner, also missing once, but slicing him with 15 damage. He turns to her with confusion and anger written all over his face.
Bandit B continues to try and stop the wagon from getting away, firing off a bolt towards Mother Anachain, hitting her as she messes with the reins, 8 hp damage.
Bandit C snores away and bandit D again shoots at Togar, but this time the bolt goes wide.
Myrth continues, invisibly, to pester and annoy the She-captain. Myrth isn't entirely sure why she is hitting at the He-captain but lovers' squabbles never much interested him much anyway... (Help action again to whoever next attacks her.)
Upon getting hit with another dagger or other sharp instrument, Anachain curses and looks back with a hateful eye at the one who did it, as she does so the facade of a cute young former housewife drops and she instead looks like overcooked undeath. He skin bruises and darkens, parts of it falling away with decay. Her eyes, once so bright and lively, fall out of her head entirely and a wan, sickly yellowish orange glow replaces them... (Bonus Action: Form of Dread: Details in spoiler)
As a bonus action, you can transform to manifest an aspect of your patron’s dread. For 1 minute you gain the following benefits: - You gain temp HP equal to 1d10+3 So 7... - Once on each of your turns, if you hit a creature you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 15). On a fail, it is frightened of you until the end of your next turn. - You are immune to the frightened condition.
Given everything, but perhaps mostly her change, Anacgain is having too much trouble with the animals to try to follow what is going on in the fight. She does know for sure the main bandit (male captain) has seemed in charge since they first arrived so she takes a pot shot at him while still trying to gain control of the carriage and stop it!
Eldritch Blast vs He-Captain: 26 to hit for 4 force damage... (No Hex extra, that is still on sleeping beauty. Assuming that hits though so will need a Wisdom save from them...)
But she does do what she can to rein in the animals... Animal Handling to stop them: 13
The large green lizard hisses and lashes its tail around in pain at the wounds, then takes a snap at the bandit captain... but whether it was meant to bite him or just scare him off is unclear.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Togar is north of the bandit captains, Deniz and Kulloda. He smiles when he says the second bandit captain turn on the first, feeling pleased that it was easy to turn her against her companions. Interesting, perhaps she already wanted to turn on them at some point…. He turns to look at the bandit with the crossbow as another bolt whizzes by him. He flies to the north 20 feet, then sends a bolt of fire at the bandit, with his remaining movement he gets down on the ground, prone, trying to make himself less of a target.
Fire bolt to bandit D : 15 to hit, for 3 points of fire damage.
Mother Anachain finally is able to stop the wagon from it's flight from the battlefield. As her form changes, most would be frightened of the new and improved MA, but the he-captain is more concerned about why in the hells his woman is attacking him that he barely notices (made the WIS save). Even with the blast in his back.
Kulloda swings with mighty damage, but just misses the bandit captain as she leaves his range, not knowing that his swing would have taken a good chunk out of her. Togar hits his target and flattens himself on the ground.
Bandit captain A angrily looks at his partner and down to the gashes she gave him. Using the hilt of his scimitar he goes to give her a lesson, two of his clublike hits meet flesh and she gets 10 damage. Boiling over with rage now, "You dare hit me?! I do your cleanin', your cookin', deal with your men when you's an arse, clean the shitty food you bring us, and you dare hit me??"
Glaring him with all her senses, ignoring everything else on the battlefield she attacks. Nailing him with her scimitar attacks, but he is able to dodge the dagger, receiving 13 damage from her. He starts looking from the giant lizard and this apparently cursed partner and he starts wondering what kind of people they are trying to rob.
Bandit B wants nothing to do with the captain squabble and now that the wagon has stopped, he runs towards it. He fires at Anachain again, and with his apparently better vantage point, crits and his bolt sends 9 points of damage to her, though he cringes at the sight of her now that he is closer. Did she look that way earlier and he just didn't notice?
Bandit C continues to sleep, but now that the owl is harder to track, bandit D shakes his friend awake and then starts heading towards Togar.
"You are a determined little thief, aren't you? Anachain says to the pesky Bandit B who continues to hound away at her while she would prefer to deal with the captains first. But this most recent arrow has her reeling and she doesn't think she can afford ignore him much longer.
"Your leaders are fighting amongst themselves, dear one," Anachain says through her horrific visage. "Isn't it time you picked your favorite and help them cut the other down?" And with those words Anachain weaves her own Suggestion in the hopes of ridding herself of this foe. ((Concentration dropped on Hex which was stuck on the sleeping bandit anyway... DC 15 Wis save for Bandit B.))

Myrth is much enjoying the bloody mayhem between the two bandit captains and their giggles can be heard as the invisible imp continues to pester and harass the She-Captain, providing help to whoever is first to attack the woman...
