Togar stands up and looks left, sees another bandit approaching, but also notes Anachain casting a spell on him. He turns and looks back and the pesky bandit who is following him, fully intent on ruining all of his fine clothing and trying to end his life. "Why won't you all give up! If you force us to, we will keep going until we kill you all!" Togar hurls another fire bolt at bandit D, angry that he decided to wake his friend. After that he moves 15 feet to the north and hits the ground again, waiting to see if the bandit will drop his crossbow.
Action : Fire bolt to Bandit D : 10 to hit, for 3 points of fire damage.
Movement : Stands, moves 15 feet north, then hits the ground again.
Kulloda looks at the lizard for a moment, seeing that it appears to be trying to bite the bandit captain.
"Still hungry?" Kulloda says, nodding with approval. "Elves small. Not full meal. Good to eat bandits too. But leave heads. Kulloda needs heads."
Kulloda then slashes out at the same bandit captain again, hoping to finally connect with her and chop that head from her shoulders, taking advantage of the fact she still has her back to him. He smiles again as his great axe finds the shoulder and back of the bandit captain.
Godsbane: (20+8) = 28 to hit for (20+2 rage + 4 necrotic from Divine Fury) = 26 magical slashing.
Bandit B looks at Mother Anachain as her words obviously bring forth a reaction, he turns away from her and regards the squabble by the giant lizard.
The firebolt from Togar sails over the bandit's head and the man smiles as the owlin retreats further. "Why leave when we are winning?" retorts bandit D.
Bandit captain B releases a blood curdling scream as Godsbane finds its purchase when her back was turned. The attack releases her from the spell and with pain and frustration she whirls around to face him. Blood is running down her back as she attacks the barbarian with her scimitar and dagger. With each and every strike hitting home, she give Kulloda 27 damage. And even in his state of rage, she cuts him down and grins a bloodied smile.
Seeing his woman bent over in pain and blood pouring from the wounds in her back, changes the captain bandit A's mind. The lizard was still freaking him out and he decided to leave the owl and the very creepy lady for lizard food and get out while they can. He grabs her hand and starts leading her away from the battlefield after disengaging with the lizard. He yells back to the remaining bandits, "C'mon, let's get out of here."
Bandit B, planning on taking one of the sides of the captains is thoroughly confused when they appear to be on the same side again. He shrugs and starts following them, dashing as he goes. Bandit C yawns and gets up, also unsure what is going on having slept through most of the battle also follows the captain without question. He dodges as he walks though, unsure what is going on. Bandit D however is still wanting a piece of the owl and fires his crossbow once again. But this one misses and he finally gives up and heads out as well.
"No!" Anachain screams when she sees the savagery with which Kulloda is cut down with. Without a thought she is heading towards him - She leaps off the cart and before foot can hit ground she fades away into a mist and reappears thirty feet closer to him, her feet taking her the rest of the way. She falls to her knees next to him and has no idea what to do for him. She knows how to clean a cut or to tend a scraped knee but this? She has no idea...
"Noooooooo!" she hows out again, her dreadful visage still upon her. Her eyes dart to the fleeing bandits and she lashes out in an impotent rage unleashing another bolt of Eldritch energy at the woman who cut down her... friend?
"Follow them," she whispers aloud to Myrth. "Track them back to where they sleep and let me know where that is..." The invisible imp takes flight and does his best to follow her command.
With that done, Anachain slowly begins to catch her breath. She wasn't even aware at how fast her breathing had been until it started to even out. Calming, her undead and grotesque appearance fades to her normal appearance and she does what she can to staunch Kulloda's bleeding... Eventually looking over to the big lizard and wondering if she should be concerned about that...
The giant lizard flicks its tongue once or twice as it briefly stares back at Mother Anachain. Sensing no threat, it turns and ambles over to the fallen bandit. In another astonishingly short moment, the tail contracts, the limbs and torso shorten, and suddenly the elf is visible once more, his long hair draped over the body of the bandit as he checks for signs of life.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Togar stands up, hearing the bolt go whizzing by his head, but he sees the bandits start to turn to run. “Fine, I can strike at you as you run… this has to end. We were tasked with finishing you!” He moves forward 15 feet to the south, and casts a spell, looking at the second bandit captain and targeting him.
Magic Missile targeting the second bandit captain, at level 2 : 9 points of force damage.
Turns out Myrth doesn't have to follow them as the pot shot that Mother Anachain sends in the direction of bandit captain B is just enough to finish her off. Dropping her where she lands, the bandit captain A turns around, eyes blazing with anger. He stalks straight at the frightening looking woman, stepping around the dying Kulloda, he slashes away at MA, but in his anger and grief, he misses all three attacks. Tears are streaming down his face as he does this and he is breathing hard.
The giant lizard returns to his elf form and as he kneels down beside bandit A. Togar stands up and seeing the second bandit captain already slain, the missiles head for the one attacking Mother Anachain.
Bandit B follows his captain and runs back, but sees the elf doing something to his fallen brethren and attacks Deniz, not liking what he is seeing. He slices the elf with 4 damage.
Not having taken any damage and seeing fallen comrades and how bad of shape his friends are in, bandit C decides to take this chance and run. He continues to dash into the woods. Bandit D is happy to continue to take up the fight with the increasingly irritating owl. He runs past his captain and fires off another bolt. This one misses.
Myrth may indeed not need to follow the bandit captains but he is very good at following orders so when Bandit C does indeed flee the scene the invisible imp dashes to follow them...
Anachain, when the male captain turns and stalks towards her, feel real fear and regret for running forward towards her fallen comrade. Perhaps it is the adrenaline of that but she finds the speed and flexibility to avoid blow after blow despite his anger... Or perhaps because of it. She sees the anger, the tears, and she cannot help but think the two must have been more than just fellow bandits, there had to be some real connection there.
"I'm sorry," she says, mostly under her breath, even as she instinctively calls forth her Form of Dread once more and counter attacks. This time she looks like a gaunt, almost skeletal version of the she-bandit, skin so tightly stretched over her frame that it is tearing in places with thick red syrupy fluids seeping out from it. It is this vision the male bandit captain sees as Anachain reaches out to him and sends a ghostly, skeletal hand to attack him with Chill Touch.
(Form of Dread - Bonus Action
You gain temporary hit points equal to 1d10 + your warlock level.
Once during each of your turns, when you hit a creature with an attack roll, you can force it to make a Wisdom saving throw, and if the saving throw fails, the target is frightened of you until the end of your next turn.
You are immune to the frightened condition.
So 11temp HP...)
Chill Touch vs Mandit Captain (Male Bandit Captain): 14 to hit for 1 pt of necrotic damage and, if it hits, they cannot regain HP til next round... And IF it does hit then Wis save DC 15 or they are frightened of Anachain until end of her next turn... (Rolled at disadvantage as they are in melee range and it's a ranged spell attack...)
“I’m so done with you people…”. Togar points at Bandit D, and three darts of glowing green force, shoot out, striking him. After doing so, he moves to the northeast, then getting down onto the ground, making himself less of a target.
Magic Missile to bandit D for 10 points of force damage.
The elf spins around with a look of great surprise to find he is being attacked once more. Unlike the others, he has no verbal retorts, but silently faces the fresh onslaught, save for a single repetition of the word of healing to stem the fresh flow of blood. Once more he swings his staff in reply, but apparently still without much intent to do harm...

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
The captain, seemingly drained after the fighting and losing his partner, takes the slight damage from Mother Anachain, but then his eyes go wide and he starts blubbering as the fear of the woman in front of him settles in to his core.
Bandit D indeed goes down as the missiles assault him one after the other.
Even with his grief and his terror, the captain firms up his resolute and he goes after Mother Anachain, the source of both of these afflictions. With the attacks at disadvantage, his first two miss, but his dagger slices into her torso as she tries to move away, 5 damage.
Bandit B smiles as Deniz attempts are feeble, but as he tries to attack the elf, his weapon only slices a bit of cloth as his foe moves out of the way just in time.
Still ahead of the game, Anachain thinks to herself as the dagger cuts her but it's not nearly as bad as it could have been. (damage comes off tmp HP she got from Form of Dread.). Still and all, she is NOT a fan of this man cutting on her like this! She reaches around her back, adrenalin giving her the ability to stretch far enough this time, and draws the dagger out from her shoulder that someone threw in there earlier... With this blade, already bloodied with her own ichor, she lashes out at the male captain in fury and anger!
Dagger vs Bandit Captain: 19to hit for 8piercing damage (I'm assuming the dagger the bandit threw at her was just a normal dagger... lol) (plus they need make another DC 15 Wis save or still have the frightened condition til end of Anachain's next turn...)
Togar leaps into the air and flies 30 feet to the southwest, seeing that Anachain has struck the bandit captain, he turns to face the other bandit and hurls more bolts of force energy at him. Not as powerful as he would like, but hopefully helping.
Movement in the air, 30 feet southwest.
Action : Magic Missile to Bandit B, for 7 points of force damage.
The elf continues to trade blows with the bandit, his face an expressionless mask... or is there a hint of sadness in his eyes? of pity? And again the only word he speaks is the magical word of accelerated natural healing, but this time the magic is directed toward the heavyset creature with the very large sword, who seems to have fallen and not gotten back up yet.
Healing Word to Kulloda for 5 hp Shillelagh Attack for 12 to hit, 6 bludgeoning.

Back on the wagon, there is a quiet rattle from inside one of the barrels. Three quick taps from inside loosen the lid. Then it slowly lifts, allowing two large eyes to peer out. Left, right, left, right. They scan to make sure the coast is clear. Then the lid rises more. (Acrobatics 25)
With his hands and feet pressed against opposite sides of the barrel, the halfling within, small even for his race, shimmies upward. His back presses the lid higher and higher until his fingers finally find the rim. He brings one foot forward into the splits to pass between his hands so he is able to sit on the rim. Bringing his other foot forward, he straightens his back to allow the lid to slowly slid off and back into place atop the barrel. He finally hops forward from his perch, landing softly on the wooden deck of the wagon as the lid thumps fully back into place. He crouches and looks around once more before straightening up.
He doesn't take the time to straighten out his rumpled clothing, or to brush his mousey brown locks from his face, and instead runs and hops into the front of the wagon. He grabs the reigns and prepares to make good his escape when he is startled by Kulloda's yell and drops to his stomach to hide, smashing his chin on the bench in his haste and biting his tongue.
As Mother Anachain removes the bloodied dagger from her back and plunges it into the captain, he stares at her, the fright palpable and finds himself almost frozen by it.
Togar's missiles defeat the remaining bandit on the field and Kulloda finally wakes up. Deniz continues to miss, and a newcomer emerges from a barrel on the wagon.
Blind with fury, grief and fright, the captain lashes out at Mother Anachain again with his scimitar, missing the first attack, but his second lands, 8 damage. In his fright, his hand holding his dagger accidently drops it and he refuses to take his eyes off of Mother Anachain to retrieve it.
Anachain, not wanting to be the next to fall in this fight, has no option to swing with the dagger again and hope she can strike true before he does... She SO wants to hold it over Kulloda's head that he was dirtnapped while she was killing bandits! As distracted as she is, she doesn't notice the stowaway at all... And Myrth is busy following the bandit who fled.
