My imp can turn into a spider and travel with the crates. And stay invisible while doing it
A wise option......If you try seeing through the Imps eye you lose sight after 100ft. After The tunnel from the roadhouse emerges in a spot nearby that’s screened by trees and brush from the camp. That is the limit of the imp telepathy and vision with you.

OOC - Grin I looked all over the internet and everything pointed to 100ft max...I new you were pact of chains but even specifying that it didn't yield that answer. I thought that the whole time though or at least it was Miles in distance not 100ft. Anyway... Verified. Thanks.
Your familiar follows the lizardfolk out of the tunnel. The tunnel from the roadhouse emerges in a spot nearby that’s screened by trees and brush from the camp. As imp approached the tunnel, hears bestial voices ahead, growling and murmuring indistinctly in Draconic. From there, a trail leads into the Mere of Dead Men, where a mix of swamp denizens and cultists of the dragon vie for power at the ruins of Castle Naerytar
The imp spots what must be a train of lizard folk..The imp doesn't bother going with them. The imp flies up to get a better view of the area. Sure, enough off in the distance is.
The cult loot is going to the castle. Who know what they're doing with it there though. Pax estimates 2 days travel to get there through the swamp and who knows what might be in the swamp on the way.

“Great work discovering the destination of the goods. It’s a two day slog through the swamps. I suggest we leave at night so the cultists don’t immediately know we have gone.” For a dwarf, Dervish seems strangely reluctant to go into the tunnel.
Jeybar comes in to chat with the others learning of the new intel,"Great work folks."
Jeybar lowers his voice, "I have been called away by a member of the council. It seems they need an artificer's skill in crafting an item. Be on the lookout. The council thinks there are other allies at work in the area too. Best of luck to you all."

The imp gathered the intel on the tunnel, castle and the schedule of the lizard folk and guards at the Roadhouse with the team also casually putting things together on how the operation worked.
You time it so that the lizard folk just finish with getting a load and head back and you use spells and skills to get yourself unnoticed to the warehouse and strong room. Jeybar's last act before leave is picking the lock to get you into the tunnel. He quietly bids farewell and good luck.
You make it through the tunnel easy enough and slowly creep up to the sunlit exit, so your eyes adjust with the moment of your exit. The Imp already through spots a figure looking around nearby that seems to be looking at the exit/entrance to the tunnel as you all exit the tunnel.

Chael stood near the mouth of the tunnel, eyes fixed on the exit as if he had been expecting someone. A soft breeze swept past, stirring his white hair and giving him an almost divine presence. His almond-toned skin was speckled with faint white freckles across his cheeks and nose, subtle reminders of something celestial.
Draped in baggy white clothes, he carried the air of a tranquil monk. His right hand remained hidden within his vestments, while the left rested gently atop a satchel at his side. Around his neck hung an amulet of two bound hands, tied together by a red string—a symbol of Ilmater’s eternal compassion. At his feet, his golden sandals, adorned with small wings on opposite sides, beating gently, as if awaiting the signal to rise and carry him aloft.
At first, his expression seemed severe—eyes narrowed, posture still—but the moment you all emerged, his gaze widened with a flicker of surprise. It lasted only an instant before fading, replaced by a cool, distant calm. It wasn’t disapproval—it was thought. You had simply drawn him back from wherever his mind had wandered.
When he spoke, his voice was soft and measured—like a balm over an old wound. "Greetings. I am Chael, and I walk with Ilmater. Divine providence has led me to this moment. If you stand against evil… if you would shield the innocent… Then my strength is already yours."
Well met, Chael. I am Piotr and this is Dervish. We and our companions are tracking this merchandise to identify and halt shipments to dangerous cultists. If you support our goals, we welcome you. If not, stand aside.
Chael’s expression remained cold as Piotr spoke. “I see… The Dragon Queen’s cult is near. Good. Let us find these shipments and put an end to them. The cultists are long overdue for divine judgment.” As he spoke, his right hand emerged from the folds of his vestments, rising to rest against his chest. Etched across the back of it was the unmistakable tattoo of a gauntlet grasping a sword by the blade—the symbol of the Order of the Gauntlet.
Chael tilted his head slightly, his silver gaze sweeping over the others—waiting. Whether for introductions or directions, it was clear: he would follow, but not idly.
As you converse with Chael, Spenser and Dervish both notice as they move and the robes flow away from their right hand you can see a tattoo of the Order of the Gauntlet on the top of the hand.
Korvir steps forward. A Tiefling A white haired 6'2" white skin horned Tiefling. A fine Glaive, nice backpack finely stitched. Bow and quiver of arrows. Likely a gem pouch. Adamantine plate with the holy symbol of Helm etched in the center. A sigil of the Order of the Gauntlet also etched in the top left side of the armor as worn.
"Your service honors us Chael. I follow the path of Helm. You strengthen our group as one of our previous members was called away just moments ago. The gods have blessed us this day. We have recently figured out that the lizard folk have been taking loot to the castle 15 mile along the path away from here. Let move along, shall we? It's a couple days away through the sluggish marsh. We can chat along the way and get clear of the roadhouse guards should the learn of our departure."

Chael’s gaze lingered on the tiefling knight, noting the familiar insignia. Another follower of the Order of the Gauntlet—a promising sign, though his expression betrayed no change.
He walked in step with the group, his voice calm and measured as he spoke.
“Your god is Helm, the Watcher? Then I am grateful my God's is not the only hand guiding this path. The visions that led me here were unclear… but I know this much: He who Endures wills that I bring judgment upon these cultists.”
His silver eyes turned toward the knight, sharp with purpose.
“Tell me—what do you know of the castle and the manner in which the goods are being transported? How shall we strike?”
A pause, and then a faint, almost apologetic note entered his tone.
“If subtlety is what’s required… I will be of little use. My talents lie in decisive and brutal combat.”
ooc - Sorry for changing how I do rp so much! I'm having fun testing everything. :)
"I just recently joined these great adventurers. I do not know much about them or their battle tactics."
Korvir looks to the others Piotr, Pax, Dervish and Spencer,
"May we know your fighting styles and battle tactics you prefer? I am not very subtle like my new friend her Chael. For you four to get this far you must be seasoned veterans though."
Korvir maintains a steady pace and keeps a watch for enemies in the marsh. His red eyes focused and intense as he looks around.
"We do not have any intel on the castle yet. My friend Pax here has an Imp Familiar he sends out for spying and is quite good too."
Piotr holds up his longbow and says, I’m your ranged expert and can be reasonably stealthy. Dervish, although he looks and sometimes acts scholarly by spouting wisdom from monks, likes to get up close and dirty with his daggers. We have some good potions for healing and other fun, which will help.
“I’ve brought my own healing potions. Simple enough to make.”
His gaze shifted back to Korvir, calm but steady.
“You’ve only just met the others? Then may I ask—what dealings have you had with the cult before joining this group? I’ve encountered little of worth myself—only the weak and misguided fanatics who chant the Dragon Queen’s name without truly understanding her will.”
He turned back to Piotr, his expression unreadable, but his curiosity sincere.
“And you? What led you to pursue the cult? What drives you to see them undone? In the end, it matters little. But I admit… I wonder what fuels the hearts of those I walk beside.”
Piotr responds to Chael: "I left my village to become the hero they expected me to be. I have made progress by fighting cultists but still there are skills I need to master before I can return. I will keep fighting cultists and any others that will help me help my village. Dervish here, well, he is just out for a good scrap and to have some basis for a semi-truthful autobiography." Dervish just smiles and nods.
Korvir smiles at Chael and replies,"The order had received word that there were issues at Greenest with the cult sacking some of the town's treasures. I was sent to investigate the cults planned uses for the loot and see what has developed since Greenest. Looks like the adventurers we've joined were possibly the reason the cult didn't get as much as they could have. There is enough loot though with the Cult offloading 2-3 wagons of stuff. My Glaive will taste the blood of the evil that is here for foul deeds. I don't think we have any intel on the castle as of yet. There is still time though."
