Raynoir, watches with keen interest and doesn't even notice the smell, "Woaah, you... you drank that in one go!", Ray notices the halfling is hit hard by the drink and reaches out to keep her steady, "ooohhh don't fall" and chuckles a little, "I think we'll both just sit here together for a bit and maybe get you to your room". Ray calls over Alan, "Alan, I doubt this one has a room, can you put on on my tab?, I don't want anything bad to happen to her, even though I strongly suspect she's able to take care of herself!!".
Ray looks over to dear Khessa, and attempts to signal for her to come over... "Dear, dear me, I always get the interesting moments, such is a life of a cleric".
As Ray waits for Khessa to repond, "Sewers, what can I say there, I helped a Pirate Captain put bad pirates down there, that wasn't so awesome, but you mentioned stuff about a garden, what was that about???
Khessa is delighted by the young wizard's way of teaching: "You are really good at explaining... you are precise and competent, as these difficult subjects require, but you also know how to be interesting and funny at the same time! It is easier to learn this way! My favorite color is Amethyst!" and, seeing the ink of that color flow, she lets out an admiring exclamation.
"Now I understand," the blonde arcane warrior laughs heartily, allowing herself a joke at the end of the lesson "why in stories it is often the wizards who play the role of the Dark Overlords... With what it costs to copy spells, their only hope of advancing in knowledge is to turn to world-domination schemes!"
"Jokes aside," the tall adventuress smiles "I hope Zodge pays us enough to allow us to put into practice what you taught me! By the way - of course you will always be free to copy spells from my spellbook, when you have the necessary funds... It's the least I can do, to repay the person who taught me to master magical faculties..." her face must have instinctively approached his, as she spoke, animated by the feeling of gratitude... they are so close now, as they look each other in the eyes... "You have become an important person to me in a short time, Elias... Thank you... thank you for everything. You are very dear to me".
When the time to act approaches, Khessa goes down again, curious to know if Ryanoir has convinced the unknown halfling to join the party... and that's how she notices several things she would not have expected.
First, the halfling seems now kind of drunk ('Hmmm... Maybe it was a strategy of Raynoir to convince her to join us without thinking too much?').
Second, Raynoir has seen her and is gesturing for her to come closer.
Third, Tazzavur is gone - all that remains of him is his Flaming Fist badge, abandoned on the table ('Hey! Have we already had the first defection? If so, given the dangerousness of the opponents, recruiting someone - such as the halfling - would not be a bad idea...')
'OK, first things first' the blonde arcane warrior thinks, discreetly recovering the abandoned badge and then approaching Raynoir as the dragonborn had gestured: "I was hoping you would convince her to join us with words... did you prefer to use alcohol instead? Well, anyway, the important thing is the result". She then turns to Rosebud: "Welcome among us! I am Khessa, Khessa Cabbagefield! And you? What is your name? Raynoir has already explained everything to you, I suppose..."
She looks in a rather lopsided manner at Raynoir, eyes slowly moving between the two visions of the person. Garden must be cursed. Can't be anything else. Pirates are bad - they pee on trees. I like trees. She sighs. She then lets out a remarkable BELCH, one that knocks the flowers off of her own head and causes a few heads to turn her direction. A little smoke issues from her mouth as she concludes the noise. Much better. Rosebud's head swivels inefficiently towards the tall, new speaker. Her eyes are starting to focus better than before and appear bright not from the sting of the alcohol but from her inner strength. Whass you talking 'bout? Gotta sewer or a garden to tend? Doubt it. Fancy armor and big axe an' all that. Whaddup with convincing me to do? Might need coin an a trip. There's only so much a burp can do so the drink is clearly still effecting her speaking, but judging from her response, her mind is still functioning.
Raynoiris still standing by Rosebudin case she falls over and as Khessa approaches and checks whether I have got Rosebud to join our 'amazing' company, Ray says to Khessa, "Khessa, I didn't even get to offering her a place in our gang, Rosebud drank this drink and within minutes ... well you can see its effect". And Ray looks between the two of them and continues, "Do you think we should get her upstairs to sleep it off? What do you think?

As she ponders Raynoir's wise advice (mostly wondering if there's time to implement it before it's time to... start 'working'), the tall, imposing blonde adventurer smiles at the outspoken halfling, appreciating her blunt manner: "You're an observer, huh? However, in my case, you're partly wrong... I wasn't born with a greataxe in my hand and armor on, you know? Until not long ago," her blue eyes grow dreamy and her features are clouded with a hint of sadness "I grew cabbage with my family... We Cabbagefields have been growing cabbage for generations. We're damn good at this - or perhaps" she sighs "I should say we 'were'. But that's another story".
"If you might need coin, you could help us on a lucrative... but risky assignment" the blue eyed woman proceeds to explain. "Most likely, there will be fighting - and not against weeds, but against ruthless assassins. But if you're up for it, the reward will not disappoint".
"What did you say your name was, by the way?" the tall adventures asks again.

The bartender Alan stands there looking at the little HALFLING with a smile as if waiting for something. He then turns to the Dragonborn Cleric, “Yes. I have another room. That will be five silvers or an electrum.”
KHESSA arrives on the scene.
Alan continues to wait as the HALFLING rambles on. ROSEBUD then stands and falls to the ground, sound asleep.
“There she goes,” Alan says simply. "She did last longer than most."
A bespeckled man approaches the bar, "Ashardalon's Brew maybe 1 in 10 can drink it without passing out."
(OOC – You have had a busy morning, but nothing that could have not been done within a few hours, so it is midday or early afternoon. And an Herbalist kit will not help with this even though you may try.)
"It is midday" Khessa reasons with Raynoir. "This poor halfling will have time to rest for a few hours. Hopefully, she will be able to figure out whether or not she wants to join our 'company,' afterward. All right," she picks her up from the floor, essentially carrying her, "shall I take her to a new room? Or the room we already share? Maybe the latter would be better, right? We'll be able to watch over her better... and we'll notice right away when she wakes up".
Whichever solution the dragonborn prefers, the blonde arcane warrior will take the newcomer to the choosen 'destination,' so she can rest and recover.
After that, the tall adventuress will spend some more time partly studying with Elias, partly sleeping (for the night's activities might keep her up late)... and will return to propose that the halfling join the party as soon as the halfling is able to hear and understand.

Raynoirto Khessa, "Your right, better kept in the shared room, I like this halfling I wouldn't want anything happen to her and thank you Khessa I don't know what I'd do not having you around!"
Rayassists Khessa to have Rosebud taken upstairs into Khessa's shared room. Ray keeps watch while Khessa prepares, Rayprepares for the Bathhouse by devoting time to his god Bahamut praying for safety for all that now includes the halfling.
"What would you do if you didn't have me around, Raynoir?" Khessa laughs heartily at the silver dragonborn's praises, while carrying Rosebud safely to her bed. "Don't underestimate yourself, my friend! We each have our strengths. Elias pacified the croud with his magic... Atlas gained information on the Cultists' lair with his discretion... Thanks to you, we won a pirate ship without a fight... It's just a shame that Tazzavur disappeared... I can't really explain it..." she shrugs, forcing herself to accept what she can't change "But at least something tells me that even our potential new halfling friend will have her own way of making herself useful. Call it female intuition".
Elias looks up from his studies as his open the door to the room, Khessa, brother Ray what have we here? As they lay the halfling on the bed the smell hits him, oh my, oh dear, not on the bed...he words trail off as his nose wrinkles in an attempt to stifle the stench. Brother Ray I assume she is in good health a part from the smell? If so then please allow me. Brother Ray, if you have some incense would you mind my using some? Lady Khessa if you would, could you help her out of her soiled outer garments? As Khessa works, Elias will cast prestidigitation on the halfling to clean her as we go. Stacking her garments in a pile at the foot of the bed. Using the same spell I'll fill the air with the scent of Brother Ray's incense. Once we get her relatively clean, I'll move to her gear and use the same spell to clean them as well. Afterwards I'll step outside the room with both of them, this reminds me of being home baby sitting the Lady's grandkids. Although they were never that dirty. Who is that?

"What an afternoon Elias!"Brother Ray says, Ray continues answering Elias' concerns, "She's OK, mighty intoxicated and will be quite fine but for a sore head in the morning", as he and Khessa place the halfling safely onto the spare bed.
Ray continues, "I'll be right back with the incense, yes... thats a good idea, hide the smell, no ... mask the smell yes, theres nothing worse isn't there Elias, not that I've ever really been in that situation, have you? No, I wouldn't have thought so, such a smart person like you, Oh my .... Im making assumptions again!and Ray disappears briefly with the asked for incense and places it safely in the middle of the room and returns to check on the halfling. Khessa has things wonderfully under control as shedoes the required cleaning up and redressing, and as Ray is not required for the time been so he goes to Eliaswho is preparing to assist with magic.
Ray watches in amazement as Elias goes about cleaning things up as they both move outside and Elias is heard saying "Who is that?"
Not long after nightfall, the HALFLING, awakes. Amazingly there is no hangover. Instead, the little Druid will feel refreshed as if it was the best sleep she had ever had.
“Oh, my ass!” is the first thing Rosebud says when waking up. When seeing quizzical looks from those in the room, she clarifies, “My donkey, Burra. I need to go make sure she is fed and watered.” She pauses a moment and looks around.“Wait, where am I? This is much nicer than a sewer. Hmm, what a strange thought. Thank you, whoever you are. I will be right back.”
Rosebud scurries away and returns in a few minutes. “Phew, Alan is such a nice barkeep. He had Burra taken care of when I passed out. He also told me that you brought me up here just as we were about to discuss some sort of business. So thank you for bringing me here. I’m all ears for business opportunities. I’m a full fledged member of the Woodcutter’s Guild,” she concludes proudly. If she noticed the improvement in her hygiene or clothing, she didn’t comment on it.
Elias looks up from his studies at the sound of our new guest awakening from her slumber, ah yes and hello miss, I am so sorry, I didn't catch your name? I am Elias Starlight and charmed to meet you. Your clothing is here and I'll step out to gather the others as you dress. the mage hand holding the spell book will follow him out the door, I'll look for Khessa, brother Ray and Atlas to let them know the halfling is awake.
Brother Rayis outside the room as the Halfling races past without a look sideways and dashes downstairs ... "My my",he says to himself and continues as Elias comes out of his room, "Elias that stuff really worked!" and continues looking at both Khessa who is also now outside her room andsays to both of them, "I'm going to have to get a few bottles of that stuff for .. emergency purposes", and Ray ponders, I reckon I am going to need it and chuckles as Eliasand Khessa look back at Ray, "ohh the life of a cleric, is never dull you two" and Ray goes back to his room, Elias and Khessa have this under control, I'm going to get a little bit of rest and thank Bahamut for my friend and now maybe a new one.
Khessa is glad that the halfling has awakened, and when Brother Ray leaves the matter in her and Elias's hands, she seeks out the young wizard with her blue eyes, smiles at him, and says: "Well... Tazzavur hasn't returned yet... so I'm afraid he won't. Let's hope this friendly new acquaintance can help us - the enemies we have, if they're of Dead-Eye's caliber, will require every aid they can get" and she enters the room to resume the conversation she had attempted to have earlier.
Once inside, the blonde arcane warrior approaches with a smile and holds out her hand: "Very well, full fledged member of the Woodcutter’s Guild! The business opportunity we’re talking about is lucrative... but also risky. Most likely, there will be fighting - and not against weeds, but against ruthless assassins, cultists of the Dead Three. But if you're up for it, the reward will not disappoint - plus a lot of Baldur's Gate common folk, who will be able to live their lives instead of being murdered in the dead of night, will be grateful to you. Is this the kind of job you might be interested in? If so, we’ll start shortly..."
"By the way, I'm Khessa, Khessa Cabbagefield! What's your name?" the tall adventuress also asks her.
“Oh, how rude of me. I am Rosebud McGinnigan, pleased to make your acquaintance.” She does a deep bow and motions with her right hand to take off a hat as part of a formal greeting, which would have looked less comical if she had any sort of head covering to remove. As it was, she just looked at her empty hand, shock her head, and stood up straight.
With a smile, she continued to respond, “I would like to help the people of this town. They are nice enough, even if they seem to prefer buildings to plants. As for violence, you might be surprised about how competitive guild membership can be. Burra and I can take care of ourselves and I have surprised a few folks with my abilities. And lucrative sounds good. I’m caught up with my guild dues but my current client is draining my coffers rapidly." In a low voice she adds, “ In fact, the sooner we start, the better.Would we be getting out of town, by any chance? I could use a little change of scenery, if you know what I mean.”
Elias knods his head to her, nice to meet you mistress Rosebud, and sadly we shall not be leaving the city any time soon. I'm afraid recent events have closed the city gates to all comings and goings, they've even closed the port from what I understand. We believe we've found a cultist stronghold or at the very least a meeting place. We leave shortly to investigate. Speaking of that, he looks toward the blonde warrior mage, his cheeks flushing slightly, lady Khessa we've a private room just in here, should we pull our team together for a planning session? I'm sure you, brother Ray and master Atlas might like to review our strategy options.

Khessa has things wonderfully under control as she does the required cleaning up and redressing, and as Ray is not required for the time been so he goes to Elias who is preparing to assist with magic.
Ray watches in amazement as Elias goes about cleaning things up as they both move outside and Elias is heard saying "Who is that?"
DAY TWO continued
Not long after nightfall, the HALFLING, awakes. Amazingly there is no hangover. Instead, the little Druid will feel refreshed as if it was the best sleep she had ever had.
(OOC - I want some of that IRL.)
(What does the party do next?)
“Oh, my ass!” is the first thing Rosebud says when waking up. When seeing quizzical looks from those in the room, she clarifies, “My donkey, Burra. I need to go make sure she is fed and watered.” She pauses a moment and looks around. “Wait, where am I?
Brother Ray is outside the room as the Halfling races past without a look sideways and dashes downstairs ... "My my", he says to himself and continues as Elias comes out of his room, "Elias that stuff really worked!" and continues looking at both Khessa who is also now outside her room andsays to both of them, "I'm going to have to get a few bottles of that stuff for .. emergency purposes", and Ray ponders, I reckon I am going to need it and chuckles as Elias and Khessa look back at Ray, "ohh the life of a cleric, is never dull you two" and Ray goes back to his room, Elias and Khessa have this under control, I'm going to get a little bit of rest and thank Bahamut for my friend and now maybe a new one.
I’m caught up with my guild dues but my current client is draining my coffers rapidly." In a low voice she adds, “ In fact, the sooner we start, the better. Would we be getting out of town, by any chance?
