“We got ourselves a live one down ‘ere,” Dain calls, “I think I scared the lil whelp stiff, but if any ‘o you can get information outta ‘im, now’s yer chance.”

Any plans for interrogating the captured kobold? Or would the party be planning to head on?

The Northern area appears to be where the lizardmen were sleeping in addition to a kitchen for the current denizens of the mountain halls.

The Southern area appears to be a storeroom of sorts. Sacks with flour and feed along with hay and a couple live animals.

"Ooh! Ooh! Let me try!" Says Psalm as he crawls across the ceiling on all fours Exorcist-style.

Using Thaumaturgy he transforms his eyes into swirling pools of murky darkness, makes the ground shake beneath the kobold's feet and creates the sound of a thousand spectral voices wailing in misery...

He moves close to the kobold and grins hideously, licking his lips.

"Yum yum... Very tasty..." He says. "I'll enjoy adding this one's soul to my collection."

He slowly advances on the kobold and points a finger in the air, indicating the manufactured voices, "Do you hear that, my tasty little morsel?... Those are the souls of all the minions who displeased me... Unless you want to add your voice to their chorus, I suggest you answer every question we have... And don't lie, or I'll make sure your voice wails louder than all the rest."

Once the threat sinks in, Psalm kicks off with his first question. "Lets start simple. Who is the leader of this little band of yours? And what are you all doing down here?"

Finn did his best to hide a smirk as Psalm used his magic to intimidate the kobold. He was curious to see if the little critter would actually be helpful.

The kobold is in absolute terror as Psalm climbs above like a demon from the hells. He cries out in Draconic, "Kurtulmak preserve me!" With a panicked look in his eyes he continues, "I serve Viridus. And we came to this place after that creepy drow lady said it was an opportunity."

Dain drops the kobold, content that Psalm’s admittedly terrifying display is doing the job. 

“Course it’s a drow problem,” he grumbles, “Alright lil’ guy, who’s this Viridus? An’ don’t forget the details.”

With the immediate fright subsiding the kobold slips into broken Common, often starting and stopping as he searches for the right word. Through it all he says, "Viridus is our leader.  Dragon destined for greatness. He inspires us." There's a look of pride on the kobold's face as he speaks. "We were weak and he united us. We were driven from our homes and he forged us a new one."

Psalm's character breaks for a moment and he nearly falls off the ceiling as he gasps, "Dragon!?" before pulling himself together again and asking, "Er, um... W....what kind of dragon are we talking about here?"

[[ Just seeing if the kobold notices Psalm's momentary lapse. Won't effect the information, just the tone. (Kinda hoping he rolls high so I can have him be a little cheeky.) ]]

[[ Darn. No cheeky response of, "Dragon. You know. Big scaly thing. Flies." :P ]]

The kobold seems to not notice Psalm's break of character, still thinking of those haunting voices. "A great green dragon! Wings thirty feet across and a breath of poison 100 feet wide!" he says. "Master of the mountain. Terror of the forest!"

As he speaks of Viridus' size and power, you get a strong feeling he's intentionally exaggerating. There's pauses in between his words where it seems like he's making up the numbers he's about to say and a sense he's hyping up Viridus beyond his capabilities.

“A dragon ye say! That’s the stuff legends are made from, it is. O boys the whole country’s gonna know o’r names when this is over!”

He seems way too excited about this relative to how many visible injuries he’s picked up in the last 30 seconds. 

Zylborin is writing down all the information the kobold is saying, repeating as he scribbles it down.

"Incredible... Green dragon... thirty feet across... one hundred feet wide! I could not agree with you more Dain, we would be heroes, described in ballads for centuries to come!"

The pirate merely chuckled, slightly nervous, but also excited. Of course he was skeptical of the claims, but then again--the bigger the conquest, the greater the glory. He couldn't help but quip to the kobold, "Sounds like a fun guy. We'll tell him you sent greetings!"

Psalm barely listens past the word "green." He's too busy spending the dragon's hoard in his imagination. Once the kobold finishes his exaggeration the tiefling points to the ground and says. "How 'bout you be a good little kobold and draw us a little map of how we get to your hundred foot dragon or whatever... with minimal interference from your allies. And let us know where to find this Drow lady while you're at it. If you do a good job, I may even let you sleep sometimes without coming to visit you in your nightmares."

On that last word he lets his black eyes grow horrifically wide for a moment while grinning with amusement. 

[[ Love Dain and Zylborin hyping up about the ballads. ]]

The kobold snarls at Finn's quip, "Sure. Send him my greetings. It's been a while since he's had man flesh."

The kobold raises a scaled eyebrow as Psalm talks about drawing a map, "It's not hard. Just keep following the hall. There's a large room further down and another passage comes around back and downwards to some old city ruins. As for the drow, she's right down that way." he points into the hall and down the right, "Past the privy and you can't miss her. Has a creepy spider she pets like it's a cute lizard."

Dain grips one shoulder and rolls it a few times, stretching out.

”What’re we thinkin’ lads? Rush into the glory or take a breather ‘fore the fun part? An’ ‘ow do we feel ‘bout this lil fella? He’s been too honest to kill I think.”

Finn shrugged. "I could use a breather, it would recharge my magic a bit. Could treat a couple of these wounds, too."

“Alright then. Let’s take a breather here, then we can go make names for ourselves!”

I’ll initiate a Short Rest if there’s no objections.
