Suddenly, Vydar remembers something and starts sifting through his pack. Eventually he pulls out a scroll. Stepping forward a bit, he unrolls it, reads the incantation, then looks at the writing again.
Vydar grimaces. He has a feeling he knows what this thing wants. "It says, An instrument of sacrifice will satisfy Myurr's hunger." He puts a shaky hand on the bag that holds Ebony and the cursed dagger. "I think it wants to see the one of the daggers." He points out the eye holes in the glyph.
Slowly, he carefully removes the dagger from the pouch. He's careful not to touch the hilt or blade as he holds it up in front of the glyph.
Vydars guess is correct. As he holds the dagger next to the dragon skull glyph, the dagger dissolves into dust and the glyph of warding seems to disappear, the sacrifice complete.
A sort of air seal seems to break as the glyph deactivates. Amdaeng and Lira spring into action pulling Vydar back. Those with sensitive sense of smell get a hint of staleness and rot in contrast to the relative aired out area you are in now.
The hallway is quiet. Each door has an ornate metal pull ring.
Vydar realizes the amulet on his hat is cool to the touch
(OOC: We are still in the iniital hallway with the pit trap. No one has opened the doors yet.
Lira is able to spot the hinge that releases the floor of the leap of faith trap, but it is securely fastened. She also notes a second sconce on the other side of the trap that could be used to arm or disarm the trap.
Lira
Amdaeng seems off for some reason, and you note Ning twitching its ears.
"Is Ning alright?" Lira asks, noticing the tiny bear's ears twitching. Does she hear something they can't? The rogue will move forward and open one of the doors just a crack to peer inside, listening carefully.
Peaking inside, Lira sees a wall on the other side, about 30 feet across. the ceilings are high. It seems to be intricately decorated with pillars and archways. Lira gets a faint trace of the scent of perfume or perhaps its hookah fragrance, from long ago.
Vydar had not been expecting the dagger to up and puff into a smoke cloud. This leaves him in shock for a good minute. Though suddenly being yanked backward by the two woman help snap him out of this.
He stumbles slightly after they’ve gotten him a few feet away from the potential danger.
“Hey hey hey! It’s fine, it’s disarmed!” He yelps. He knows for sure the trap is disarmed as the hat isn’t giving off warning heat anymore.
When Lira peaks in, he hurry’s up next to her to look inside as well. “It should be fine to go in now. There aren’t any more traps in this area.”
Vydar carefully opens the door a bit more. (IN PIC: You entered through the door on the right of the picture, and the door ahead is to the west)
The room is rectangular, measuring 40 feet in length and 30 feet in width. Arches rise to a beautifully tiled ceiling, while marble floor tiles enhance the space. Faux windows and archways create the illusion of natural light in this interior setting. The room contains several old chairs and lounge couches, though the fabric has long since decayed. A faint scent of perfume and candles lingers, likely from years of use, along with a strange, musty odor. The space was probably once a waiting or lounge area. To the west, there's a copper doorway, and two areas that might have once had doors are now blocked by collapsed stone and debris.
Iólinder
Zazi seems unsettled, and as Iólinder quickly peers through her eyes, he sees a sort of "afterimage." from her blindsight. It is only there for a moment, then gone. Like an echo of an image walking in this hall.
Lira steps forward, studying the chairs and couches curiously. "I wasn't expecting a sitting room after all the warnings on the walls...Maybe this is a secret entrance?"

(Vydar recalls Storm gave him something that might come in handy in this type of situation)
Suddenly, Vydar remembers something and starts sifting through his pack. Eventually he pulls out a scroll. Stepping forward a bit, he unrolls it, reads the incantation, then looks at the writing again.
As Vydar reads the Speak with Languages scroll, all of the words in Goblin are clear to him.
Vydar
“An instrument of sacrifice will satisfy Myurr’s hunger.” (As you look at the Glyph, you notice that it has two eye holes.)

Amdaeng watches proceedings with rapt attention.

As the dagger disappears, Amdaeng sees a sort of smoke or vapor rise from where she assumes the glyph was.
Amdaeng
You hear the sound of an air seal being broken between this room and the next. then you hear something (Click link)
Humming
" NOPE.", says Amdaeng adamantly as she tries to drag Vydar back away from the door....
Lira also instinctively grabs onto Vydar to help pull him away from the possibly poisonous vapor.

Amdaeng notices Ning keeps twitching her ears.
Lira looks down the hallway for any tripwires or other suspicious features.

Humming, a bit quieter
When Lira peaks in, the humming abruptly stops.
