"We're looking for the wizard, Nicodemus, we need his help."
Zarbyn takes a drink of his ale. Upon entering the tavern and throughout his interactions he doesn't drop his guard.
"Can he also be found in the... 'Noose.?'"

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Lira is aware of a smuggling operation in this place Boatmen have an under dock entrance, allowing for goods to enter or leave without taxation The men in the corner are likely smugglers. The trolls helping with goods
Letting Zarbyn handle gathering information from the bartender, Lira approaches the smugglers and gives a few subtle hand signals to let them know she is part of the guild. She then asks what they have for sale.

Doric looks at Zarbyn. "Old Nico? Hah! Some say he's a gull in disguise. Others, an elemental of fire. He lives in some sort of shack, but....it moves, it changes locations I mean. Its magical I guess. I'd wager the Serpent Queen knows more of his comings and goings than any of us dockside folk. Course it'll cost you. Nothin's free in her gardens but the scent of roses, and even those stink of poison. Her residence is in the garden district, just a short walk from here."
Lira takes a seat at the table, glancing down at the amulet with a sigh before looking back to the dwarf. "It's not for sale, unfortunately."
Sha has a couple of things to sell to free up room in her pack and get some coin for herself since she feels guilty using party funds: Acid Vial 25 gp, Alchemist's Fire 50 gp. Persuasion with inspiration for best price: 7 -.-;;
She says she is looking for information on anyone purchasing a lot of magic items or rare reagents, thinking that might help find Nico too.

The halfling looks at the two items, studying them. "Hum....I can give you 45 for the lot, or say 30 for the fire or 10 for the acid. For the amulet that you say is not for sale, I can give you 2000 gold. As for those other items, best go to market square or the guild house."
While enjoying his food and drink, Jharek will casually ask the others at the table with him, “Does anyone actually think we will be able to track down the wizard based on information we get from this place (the tavern)?” He’s making conversation, but hoping they can succeed in their mission sooner, rather than later.
Zarbyn listens attentively to Doric's information and then asks, "Serpent Queen huh, is that her name or just a title?"
During his response Zarbyn will take a swig of his ale and then ask, "You sound like a man who knows what from what, can you tell me this, have you ever heard of Captain Riddel Reeves? And if so, do you happen to have news on his ship, the Twice Shy?"

(For Lira).
Seeing her signals, they look Lira up and down, perhaps assessing their options.
One motions for her to sit. A halfling, wearing clothing typical of those on river boats.
"We'll, what are ya looking for. We can get most things needed, many things wanted, a few exotic and rare items."
Another man, a dwarf looks at Lira's neck. "The necklace you have on your neck, may I see it?"
Lira takes a seat at the table, glancing down at the amulet with a sigh before looking back to the dwarf. "It's not for sale, unfortunately."

One of the large trolls comes to the table and gives the dwarf a large coin pouch.
"Thanks for the business,Thorik."
