" Keep your shirt on Zarbyn. Just looking, not exploring.....though we should put something heavy on this trapdoor before we go. The goblins likely left this way."
Lira closed the hatch.....
She sighed and moved over to the poor tortured dead kobold......do I know you?
I'll give you more info/ backstory shortly if the our player doesn't show up. This would be what happened prior to being rescued in the Cache, and how she came to meet Shareella personally and get the unwanted and unremovable necklace on her. All of the Kobold casters (all female) who she did know died. She was the last one in her group, although she is not Kobold.). They called her their sister.
Hearing Amdaeng calling him, he climbs up through the top hatch to see what she wanted him to read. His eyes narrow at the abbreviation. C. O. D. K. ... Cult of the Dragon King. He's still wracking his brain as to why they took a heart out of one of the bodies in the previous room.

"He tries to figure out what they might need a heart for.
Arcana: 20 History?: 7"
Though the missing heart and now learning that the cult is buying unidentified bodies leaves a sour taste in his mouth. The first thought coming to mind being the obvious answer... Necromancy. However he's hoping to figure out something a bit more specific. He looks up at Amdaeng and hands the papers back to her. "Hopefully this doesn't mean we'll have an army of undead to deal with whenever we face of with the Cult."
The conversation in the room below him catches his attention and he peaks his head back down. "Zarbyn's right, We definitely should not be splitting up. While I don't like the idea of waiting to investigate here, only to come back and find out entrance blocked, I think our meeting with the Serpent Queen is higher priority. She might even have some more insight on what's down there."
Arcana: Likely some sort of grotesque demonic ritual of some sort. If the Cult of the Dragon King could not get all of the Artifacts Vydar only imagines that perhaps they have other means of accomplishing their goals, or of raising the Snake Demon Myurr.
Worse, you have a new power in Port Blacksand, who seems to be undead. (Zanbar Bone). Is he involved already in some way?
Then we have the Coven of Eternal Winter, attacking villages and killing folk in the north, including Halberts entire village. The weather even this far south is changing. All in all, Vydar has no idea what is happening (Its way above the parties current knowledge) and concludes they must seek out someone who might know and understand.
Preparing to accompany anyone who wants to enter the sewer tunnels, Jherak will wait for the others before entering. “Someone should get a report from the others above, of what they have found and if they need any assistance. I’ll stay here until we know what’s above.”
Jherak and Lira hear strange sounds from below. Dripping water, strange echos as Jherak speaks. Its quite creepy down there. Lira suspects it would also be easy to get lost, and that any light sources would attract unwanted attention. If the group were to go down there, a map or guide would certainly come in handy. And, if you are correct that the goblins went down, based on your prior meetings with them, there will be many goblins and other creatures as well as more traps.
Outside, the group in the main area sees more people, all headed east on the streets. A loud bell is heard ringing several times (Ding....Ding..............Ding....Ding........)
The Mortuary continues to be quiet. It seems a place like this would be quite busy, and yesterday alone, there were countless deaths at the docks. But...they also may get extra coin by giving dead away to kitchens and the Cult. This may make you think twice before ordering any more meat products in the Port.
As Lira considers entering the sewer entrance, she has a flashback—suddenly she’s back in the pyramid, The huge statue of Myurr looking down on her. (Drip....drip...drip from the sewer) the slow tap, tap of goblins finding the hatch; she feels the ebony idol in her hand, hears stone crack, sees the hill giant’s arm force its way in—she is bound, bleeding, a black dagger rising and falling, Aldrin’s scream as necrosis spreads while Lira lies helpless, waiting her turn;
Lira sucks in a sharp breath as she feels the sewer walls closing in.(TERROR) If the Cult of the Dragon King is below, is she ready to confront them? (FEAR, , PTSD Symptoms, ANGER). and....who does she hate more, the Cult of the Dragon King or the Coven of Eternal Winter and Shareella for imprisoning her?
Rather than preparing to enter the sewer, Jherak looks for a way to secure the lower door once closed so that no one can enter into the room they are in, from below.
Jherik finds an old sword or mace shaft to lodge the shaft closed. It should at least slow down those trying to exit. Placing additional weight on top would do more.
Lira quickly climbed up into the mortuary office, not even looking at the hatch leading downward, as she emerged into the street-level building she held herself tightly.
Amdaeng called her over, " How long do we have before Lady Hiss?"
Jherak will ask for assistance moving a piece of furniture such as a table, if one is available, on top of the lower hatch, to prevent Goblins or the like from entering from below.
Lev mutters something under his breath, shaking his head as they continue deeper into this lair. Sure, they should have plenty of time... but who knows how long they could be held up if they end up in a fight or fall prey to other unforeseen difficulties?
He eyes the dead kobold, brow farrowing as Vydar moves to investigate and Halbert mentions recognizing the amulets. He nods slowly, as if acknowledging the fact that those amulets mark them as having a common enemy. When Halbert questions Lira's amulet he affirms her story and adds, "She is not one of Shareela's followers, and when she was it wasn't by choice. If you've seen these amulets before, worn by those who attacked your people, then we have a common enemy."
He follows the group as they poke around the room, keeping his eyes and ears peeled for anyone returning to the scene. As Halbert questions how much they know about this whole situation, and the others investigate the remains, Lev says bluntly, "If you've ever heard of Shareela, or Myurr, then that will give you some idea as to what we are dealing with. This all connects to them."
(Lev will explain to Halbert what they know about Myurr and Shareela, what they've encountered so far, and why they are looking for the wizard. He leaves out Natalie Storm though, leaving it unclear how and why they actually began this quest, not wanting to share that personal information just yet. He also doesn't elaborate on their deal Serpant Queen either.)
At the prospect of splitting up Lev shakes his head, "Bad idea. I agree with Zarbyn. Our meeting is more important right now. If we have time we can come back and explore the sewers. As it is we have no idea how long we'd be down there. If we ran into enemies, then that would delay us even further."
To Halbert he says, "Yes, she's going to tell us how to find the wizard. But she's only expecting us, so it would probably be best if we met back up with you afterward." He's blunt about this, but is not trying to be rude. He just genuinely thinks bringing an extra person to their meeting would bring nothing but trouble.
As you try to figure out next steps you recall the Serpent Queens words:
"Please, finish both taskssss by thiss time tomorrow. Arrive early, and you pressssume. Arrive late....and you might offend."
(OOC: It is now 10am. The meeting with the Serpent Queen is at precisely 2pm)
Using items in the hidden storage room, Lev and Jharek put a good 500 pounds of stuff on top of the opening.
In the main rooms, you have noticed out the window people headed east (Likely toward executioner's square).
You have just acquired a bit of gold and gems. Lira knows that there is a merchant district you have not explored yet (South of your current location back over the river. You have also been warned that this is where you will find a good deal of fake items and pick pockets. There may be other merchants, vendors and other stores if equipment is needed or you wish to trade anything.
Hopefully, there will not be another encounter with Zanbar Bone, but.....you are certainly concerned about his appearance on the docks.
" Does anyone need to do any shopping? We have money and some little time. But guard your purses.", Lira queried joining the others in the mortuary.
Amdaeng shook her head but, practised from many years on the streets of Fang went about checking that monies and valuables were stowed well away and separated out so as to not be all in one place on each of the party members......though she knew most of the party especially herself and Lira would likely be able to spot any ขโมย coming.
" Or we could just walk leisurely toward our meeting and have a long lunch on the way, right Ning?"
" Is it weird that all these dead bodies are making me hungry? Yeah.....ok...that's weird...."
"Perhaps just biding our time until after the meeting, I mean if we start shopping now it's like throwing chum to the sharks for all the pickpockets. I like the idea of getting something to eat though even if it is just to past the time until the meeting."
Zarbyn helps secure the weighted furniture over the hatch to block it for now.
"I'd rather stay on this side of the river and explore what we find here, at least until after the meeting."

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
(If the group chooses to stay in execution hill district, you can see what all the commotion is about (where is everyone headed), or look around the area for food/ other shops to delay until 2pm.)
Looking out the Mortuaries windows, several sailors head east on Winding Street, walking fairly quickly.
(ooc: are the sailors heading in the same direction as everyone else?)

Perception 10+5=15
Jherik finds an old sword or mace shaft to lodge the shaft closed. It should at least slow down those trying to exit. Placing additional weight on top would do more.
Halbert is even more surprised, dazed and confused:
a serpent queen?!
