“I’ll handle Werik,” Lev says, a little more firmly this time. Looking to Zarbyn he says, “I am fairly familiar with how he fights, gang tactics being his most obvious method of dealing with threats.” He shifts his grip on his glaive… which some may realize he’s been awfully protective of ever since he received it.
To Jherak he says flatly, “Considering he is the head of the Legion, we’ll be up against any other gang members we encounter.” He briefly lowers his gaze, “I didn’t exactly make a lot of friends while I was part of the gang.”
(OOC: The group encountered a huge gang war between two gangs on the docks. Both of those gangs (one is Crimson Legion) was weakened greatly in the conflict with Zanbar Bone (The Ghost corsair) and his minions, the Electric Eel and Crabicore. It is possible that you can find out more about the Legion, where their headquarters is, if any of the members engage in any usual activities, more on Werik Longfinger. Then, you can develop a strategy for the best way to take on Werik)
"Well, if it comes down to a fight we can all handle ourselves of course but..."
Zarbyn thinks for a quick second.
"...we still have the red sashes so maybe with a little planning we can arrange the time and place to strike."
Once again Zarbyn wastes little time adding what tidbits he can.
"...so long as any plan we come up with keeps in mind the main goal is to get Icebane."

Lira muses, " Spending some time slipping into some taverns closer to Legion turf and keeping an ear out amongst the nefarious types might bring us something...."
Lira and Lev through their backgrounds as rogue and former crimson legion are both fairly talented at ferreting information regarding Werik Longfinger. Through various questioning of Tavern keepers, street people, etc, the party learns the following. (today is Thursday)
1) A one eyed dock worker tells you: “If you’re lookin’ for Werik Longfinger, you don’t find him. He lets you know when you’ve been found.”(Anytime)
The Crimson Legion operates out of an old fortified counting house near the Execution District. Red lanterns burn at all hours above the doors. Armed guards in crimson sashes patrol both streets and rooftops. Werik is said to sleep in a tower chamber reinforced with iron shutters. No one enters this place without an invitation...or chains.
2) A nervous smuggler whispering over some cards: “Shipment came in from the north. Rare goods. Weapons. Maybe something colder than steel.”
The legion is negotiating a large weapons shipment at an abandoned spice warehouse near the docks near Herring Wharf. (Building F7). The deal is scheduled for tonight. Werik personally oversees major contracts.
3) A street beggar missing several teeth: “He goes where candles burn blue the Temple of Dalgalla. Where the priests don’t ask names.” He always attends on Friday mornings, weekly. (The temple of Dalgalla (T6)
Werik is a religious sort. He is said to attend a church in the Temple District. Some say he hears a voice, whispering to him. He seeks guidance from a priest there and meets with them alone, although he always has some of his thug gang with him for these meetings.
4) Scarred pit fighter missing two fingers: “Friday Night Fights! Below the old tannery by the river. Coin flows. Blood flows faster.” Friday night.
Once a week, an underground fighting ring operates beneath an old tannery in the Merchants district (M19) . Nobles and crime lords attend masked. Werik sometimes appears in a private balcony box to scout talent or punish failures. He tends to favor brutal one on one duels and there is a big one this week.
5) Could also go back to the Serpent Queen but you know how she works.
Through Liras connections and Lev's prior relationship with the legion, you suspect that at least one of these rumors could be a trap, laid out by one who would get rewarded. However, at least one of these 4 leads could be worth pursuing. Could get additional info on a few of these leads if you pursue them further or scout out locations carefully.
"If how much time we spend in Blacksand is a concern maybe going after the weapons shipment tonight is our best option?"
Zarbyn waits to see what the others think.

"One of these options is likely a trap," Lev says dryly. "But I do agree with Zarbyn. Best to get this over with as quickly as possible, we'll just have to stay wary."He pauses, "If this negotiation turns out to be a trap, or we miss our chance for some reason, we'll at least have another chance or two tomorrow so long as we don't give ourselves away. Though, considering who Werik is, I doubt he'll change his schedule even if he finds out someone is after him."
The group decides tonight is as good as any and picks option 2. It is currently noon, so you have some time to prepare, maybe scout a bit, and gain more info on the location and perhaps who will be there, but the trick is not to be discovered, or it could certainly turn into a trap if it not one already.
Here is the recap

Zarbyn looks over the map they were given in Silverton, "Even with a map we should check to see what things look like with our own eyes."

Zarbyn will nod to them both as he heads in that direction, almost eager to take up a position at the Herring Wharf near the abandoned warehouse (F7).

The building is a two story building in poor condition. It is approximately 150 feet long by 60 feet wide. The docks/ water is on its north and west with walkways on both. (NOT TO SCALE): Distance from building to dock is 20 feet.
In front of the building (South side are two rectangular decks at ground level with large tables. Likely, they held product for sale at some point. Various windows surround the building on the second level, approximately 2 windows per wall. Most are broken.
Amdaeng and Lira from their vantage point see a door on the south side (blue). Zarbyn on the north sees a loading dock door leading to the boats.
When you move your characters tokens, and tell me where you are located, more descriptions may be available. Some of it has not been viewed yet.
