Hearing his name, Vasha spins just in time to see Dunkin collapse under the blade of a goblin, the sight of his companion’s defeat jolting him from the haze of battle momentarily. For the briefest of moments, his focus slips, and in that instant, a sharp pain tears across his back. But the deep gash barely registers through the storm of his rage, the wound merely fueling the fire burning inside him.
With a snarl, Vasha turns to face the goblin who dared to strike him. The green glow in his eyes pulses brighter, crackling with barely contained energy. His grip tightens on his greatsword as he swings it in a deadly arc, the blade biting deep into his attacker. The goblin shrieks in pain, staggering from the force of the blow, its body barely holding together under the weight of Vasha’s fury. But the fight isn’t over—Vasha’s rage demands more.
Realizing that his compatriots aren't quite ready to egress, Doldek returns to the edge of the chamber. He traces a quick series of arcane symbols and utters an uncharacteristically booming "IGNIS", hurtling a searing missile at the goblin that wounded Vasha.
Working in sync, the party eliminates the remaining active threats. Goblin D, believing to have gotten its revenge, dies happily. Goblin F, on the other hand, dies shrieking and burning. Yeemik dies alone in a corner of the cave.
Two goblins remain, both asleep, largely ignorant of the bloodbath surrounding them.
Dunkin is stable thanks to Chase's efforts, but still unconscious.
Sildar picks up Goblin D's scimitar and shield. "Thank you for saving me," he says, his voice weak. "And for doing what I could not by killing all of these evildoers. Gundren was right to hire you. Did you happen to find my armor and longsword amongst Klarg's plunder?" (You all last saw Sildar wearing chain mail and carrying a longsword.)
OOC:
We are no longer in initiative because the only remaining enemies in this cave, Goblins G and I, are unconscious. However, they will wake up in 48 seconds if nothing is done.
Goblin F's AC was only 13 because it hadn't equipped its shield.
Dunkin will be unconscious until he regains HP. He will do so naturally in 1d4 hours. @H20_Keeper should roll the d4.
Vasha stands amidst the chaos, his chest rising and falling with the ragged intensity of his breathing. His greatsword drips with goblin blood, his hands trembling slightly as the last vestiges of his rage begin to fade. Unless someone steps forward to intervene, he methodically slays the remaining goblins, his attacks fueled by raw anger, his movements brutal and precise.
When the last goblin falls, Vasha's body sags. His breath comes slower now, but each exhale is heavy, like the weight of his emotions is pressing down on him. His face is a mix of weariness and something darker—regret, perhaps. Covered in dirt and blood, he looks battered both physically and emotionally, drained from the toll the rage and the battle have taken on him. He wipes a hand across his brow, leaving a streak of blood behind as he stands in silence, lost in the aftermath of the violence.
Nyli watches Vasha slay the remaining goblins, 'not a man to cross' she thinks. She retrieves her dagger and wipes both blades clean on a scrap of cloth before sheathing them, throwing the cloth away.
She looks to Chase and nods at Dunkin "How bad is it? Is there any way I can help?"
At the sound of his companion’s voices, Dunkin regains consciousness. Despite a horrific wound, the tough halfling opens his eyes and props himself up. “I think I can walk, but can’t imagine I’ll be fast or much help in a scrap. Thanks, Chase, for the healing.”
His eyes open wide at Sildar. “You’re up! Good on ya! Hope you can tell us what’s going on here.”
"Ok, now we've found Sildar, we need to decide what we do about Klarg? I'm not looking for a fight, but I'm not sure that leaving them alive to cause further trouble is a good idea."
She looks at Sildar "Have you heard anything that could help us, one way or another?"
I agree with Vasha. Let's get out charge to safety we can tell others where this cave is with the bugbear. Who knows they may ever higher us to deal with it.
Chase rushes to see if the bridge could be cut and ropes lowered to climb down and out…
The bridge is supported by ropes and four wooden stakes. The rope supporting the northwest quadrant has already been cut and that part of the bridge is sagging.
A DC 15 Wisdom (Perception) check reveals:
Across the bridge to the east, a goblin (Goblin P) darts out of sight
John collects his bolts and searches the body and area for gold and valuables. Moving hastily not doing a thorough search.
Near Yeemik's corpse, John finds a scattering of 15 Sp and pair of crescent moon-shaped earrings made of silver, worth 2 Gp. Yeemik had a second dagger on his person as well. The other goblins have poorly-maintained scimitars and shortbows and 21 arrows.
Sildar speaks up, "I owe you my life, friends, and I must express my gratitude. I can give you a reward of 30 gold pieces for my rescue, plus the 10 each which Gundren had promised you, assuming you deliver the wagon and its contents. My gold was taken, but I can very easily get a loan in Phandalin if you would escort me there." He pauses to catch his breath, leaning against the cave wall. "It sounds like Klarg is still alive, but you have killed many of his goblins already. I believe Klarg would be very reluctant to leave his caves undefended, so he is likely to hole up here, no longer an immediate threat to travelers. However, there are many goblins in these hills. If we wait too long, Klarg will replenish his forces and the banditry will resume. I would hire you to deal with him and his band of ruffians, once we reach civilization and I secure the loan, et cetera. I would offer 30 gold pieces if you clear out these caves completely, and you would be doing a great service for the Lords' Alliance."
Vasha leans against the cave wall, wiping the blood from his blade with a tattered goblin rag as Sildar speaks. His face is drawn, still showing the fatigue of battle, but his eyes flicker with interest at the mention of gold. When Sildar finishes, Vasha lets out a low whistle, glancing at the others before muttering under his breath, “Lord’s Alliance… deep pockets.”
He straightens up, rolling his sore shoulders, and gives a half-hearted shrug. “Klarg and his boys will keep coming unless we put them down for good. Exterminator isn’t usually my thing, but thirty gold each is a good deal for getting rid of this headache.” He looks toward the mouth of the cave, his tone dry. “But first, let’s see if we can make it out of here in one piece.”
Vasha finishes cleaning his greatsword and sheaths it before drawing one of his javelins. Following behind Chase he whispers, not as quietly as he had hoped, “Tell me if you spot another one. I’m gonna try to skewer it.”

"I'm going back to the bridge" She takes a fresh bowstring from a pouch and strings her bow. "I'll keep an eye out for trouble. Once you're all clear, whistle and I'll join you."
With that she heads back to the where the bridge was, taking a position looking towards the pools.

We need a gurney to carry Dunkin, though we may already have to face off against Klarg to get outta here. We’re not safe yet.

Chase will knock loose the stakes and drop the bridge then he will rehammer a stake to tie off ropes…
“Keep yer eyes open I seen a goblin keeping watch over there!”
Dunkin’ offers, “I can hold most of that rubble chute stable with my Mold Earth cantrip. Let me try and maybe we can get out of here faster.”
Dunkin’ releases his hold on the step conjured to cushion Sildar and casts/holds 2 instances of Mold Earth on upper and lower ends of rubble chute.

Agreed let's pull out we can watch the entrance and patch our wounds before pressing back in the finish this part of the job.
“Time to go.” If no one else is gonna lead the way Chase will head down the chute. Once down he heads out the cave entrance.
