Ready for intruders, the goblins strike first. The leftmost [on the map] goblin (Goblin M) sends an arrow at Vasha; it cuts him just above the hip. The farthest goblin (Goblin N) sends an arrow at John, which lands true but not deep. It hides behind a stalagmite. The rightmost goblin (Goblin O) aims for Chase, but its arrow dings off his shield.
The goblin you saw on the bridge (Goblin J) flees west around a corner and out of sight. Proceeding forward (or backwards) reveals:
Goblin J has pulled out a dagger and is hurriedly trying to cut the bridge’s ropes from the west side.
OOC:
Goblin stealth rolls are merely for whether they remain in your line of sight; you still know their locations because they have very clearly not moved.
As Vasha rounds the corner, pain sears through his side as another goblin arrow finds its mark. He snarls, a deep, guttural sound rising from his throat. A sickly green glow flickers in his eyes, wild magic crackling in the air around him as the familiar surge of rage builds, burning through his veins.
(Bonus Action RAGE)
With a feral growl, Vasha hurls the torch at his attacker. It strikes the goblin square in the face, sending a shower of sparks cascading down and forcing the creature to flinch back.
(Improvised weapon attack: 18, Damage 1 fire + 5 bludgeoning)
The torch clatters to the cave floor, its light casting erratic shadows on the damp walls. Advancing with purpose, Vasha grips his greatsword in both hands, his knuckles white with the force of his hold. His eyes lock onto the goblins ahead, his expression promising a swift and brutal end.
Nyli rushes at Goblin M, following closely behind Vasha. She slashes at the goblin with daggers in both hands, but it squeezes back into a small alcove before she can connect.
OOC:
Movement: Next to Vasha and Goblin M Action: Attack (dagger): 10 to hit for 5 piercing damage --> miss Bonus Action: Two Weapon Fighting (dagger): 10 to hit for 3 piercing damage --> miss
Round 2:
Ducking under Dunkin's arrow, Goblin J swings its scimitar in a wide arc, slashing one of the ropes supporting the bridge. The bridge sags to one side and the loose rope dangles over the path below (on the eastern side).
Goblins M and N slash at Vasha with scimitars; Goblin M, cornered and overwhelmed with flames alight all around it, can barely get its scimitar out of the scabbard. Goblin N nicks Vasha in the arm.
Goblin O shoots another arrow at Chase. This arrow misses the dwarf completely, snapping against the stone above him.
Monsters:
Goblin J (Goblin): 4/11 HP (half cover from creatures on lower level) --> scimitar 16 to hit Bridge for 6 slashing damage (Bridge has 4 HP remaining)
Goblin M (Goblin): 5/11 HP (half cover) --> scimitar 12 to hit Vasha for 5 slashing damage
Goblin N (Goblin): 8/8 HP (half cover) --> scimitar 15 to hit Vasha for 4 slashing damage
Goblin O (Goblin): 5/6 HP (half cover) --> shortbow 7 to hit Chase for 5 piercing damage
Map:
I forgot to account for John's movement in this map. He's actually one square to the left of his token's location, with half cover from Goblin J and full cover from the other goblins.
Vasha barely registers the sting of the goblin’s blade as it slices across his arm, the pain swallowed whole by the surging storm of rage within him. His eyes flare, the sickly green glow intensifying, casting an eerie light over his face. The world narrows to the goblin in front of him—the one who dared strike him.
With a snarl, Vasha raises his greatsword high above his head, the muscles in his arms straining with fury. In one savage motion, he brings the blade crashing down, cleaving the goblin cleanly in two from head to waist. Blood sprays across the cave floor as the goblin’s body crumples in two pieces at his feet. Vasha stands over the remains, his breath coming in heavy, ragged bursts, the green glow still burning in his eyes as he seeks his next target.
Upon seeing Goblin J slash one of the bridge ropes, Dunkin decides to move around and into the passage leading to the bridge hoping to gain line of site on the monster.

Frustrated attempting to shoot around a stalagmite, Doldek steps into the shallow stream and moves two squares to the east. He evokes a firebolt at Goblin O.
Four goblins lie dead before you, one impaled with an icicle, another totally and brutally bisected, a third pierced through the heart with a bolt, and the last stabbed with a knife. Their scimitars and shortbows clatter as they fall. A DC 5 Intelligence (Investigation) check reveals:
Despite their deteriorated and worn state, these weapons are unusually uniform in their make and craftsmanship for use by a goblin band. One might expect goblins to have scrounged a variety of weapons, but these have not.
You all stand in the twin pools room, wetted with the spray of the waterfall and stream; some of you are also drenched in goblin blood.
To the west, the bridge still stands. Chase's weight strains it, but it stays. To the southeast, a stone staircase leads up to another cavern, illuminated by what seems to be the soft glow of a dying fire. You hear no signs of life except the distant barking of the three wolves; the rushing waters of the stream conceal any other sounds.
Dunkin’ overhears, Nyli. “‘Fraid I won’t be much help with that big brute seein’ as I’m outta big spells.” Despite the risk of leaving a contingent of goblins and Klarg behind him, Dunkin nocks another arrow and moves to follow Chase across the rickety bridge. “Let’s find Sildar and get outta here!”
