DM: Okay, I would love to go more in-depth, but I've seen whole campaigns just about night like these. To keep the story rolling, just briefly describe what you did foe the rest of the night, then we can start with the quest.
Asgrim spends the rest of the night drinking, speaking with the various patrons and playing some cards with them before eventually retiring to his room.

Othorion Sarfir - Half-Drow Eldritch Knight - The Murder Court
Gothazar will spend the remainder to find a lovely lady to 'stay the night with' and successful or not will find the comfyiest place in or around the tavern to pass out. In the morning he will do his best to use his medical knowledge to concoct a hangover cure then as early as possible returns to the Yorcliff farmstead to collect his gear, armor, mace, shield and an iron bound book decorated with a gem encrusted challice, before returning to the tavern to wait for the slow to rise and to settle any outstanding debts for himself or his companions.
When Gothazar awoke, he didn't have to bad of a hangover. He was able to make a drink out of several different plants that not only cured what little hangover he had, but also cleared his mind a little
Eidren retired earliest, therefore he is earliest to rise. He is prepped and ready to set out with all his gear before sunrise. When the others arrive in the tavern hall, he is just finishing a modest breakfast of ham and toast, with a bit of fresh cream.
As you step out of the tavern, you look East, and see the top of the tree, Freya's Palm. You walk out of the town, and follow the trail. The forest is starting to bloom, with plants just starting to show color. As you walk deeper into the forest, it starts seeming more alive, with colorful thriving plants and scampering animals. The heart of the forest seems to have not been touched by the snows of winter.
As you get to the base of the tree, you hear heavy rustling in the nearby shrubbery.

At the base of the tree, Asgrim grabs one of his handaxes and looks around once he hears the sound. He pulls the handaxe out and already begins to get into a readied stance trying to perceive what it might be that is making the noise.
"Of course comrade. What is gold for if not for spending."
Leif hands 10 gold coins to the barkeep and stands at the counter.
"Pray for us to come back alive and we will have this feast again!"
Leif lifts a mug filled with ale and downs it with fervor. He then points the empty mug to the tavern's patrons.
"Roll those gallons of ale forward for no one will come back to their homes without getting drunk!"
The sea elf then plays his horn with a lively tune to signal the start of merrymaking and rabble-rousing.

Eidren silently draws his crossbow and knocks a bolt. He listens intently for any clues of what might be lurking.
Leif pulls out his net, readying himself to throw it to any manner of beast this forest keeps behind this dastardly shruberry.
Asgrim knows only one thing native to these woods can make such a big disturbance. Bears. Two black bears thunder out of the shrubs.
