Norberos approaches the priests and smiles "Hello there. Please don't mind the looks and rather gruff demeanor of the others here. You see the mayor sent us to talk about the fallen man from the sky. Those men in the other room attacked us, you see they have a brand on them and they were quite pleased with the death of what appears to be Sol, that is according to them. We are seeking answers, so you have nothing to fear from us, but perhaps any help you could lend....anything out of the ordinary you've noticed, different behaviors? Hmm?"
Korath feels a little weirded out by the silent priests, casting a glance at the others before heading for the indicated door. He pauses before it momentarily to try to listen for any sounds inside. Perception 16
You here a muffled voice, sounding almost frantic, but you can’t make out words.
As you open the door, you see- an empty office. Nothing seems to be out of order, and there’s no sign that father Elnezar was ever here. There are papers discussing worship times and the large blind bible you saw him open in the waiting room, but otherwise no sign of the priest remains.
Korath frowns, stepping into the room warily. "But I heard him...A secret passage? Well, let's see what his book holds first of all." He heads over and opens the large tome, studying it for anything about Sol's demise. (Religion 19)
Gurog follows him in and begins to walk around, arms outstretched feeling the air, to see if the priest went invisible. Magic users! So dishonorable hiding or running away instead of facing your foes head on. Then he looks at his companions… uh, no offense.
OOC - Gurog never said out loud what he is doing, so he straight up looks like an idiot, randomly flapping his arms or suddenly jabbing his fist through the air

The book is extensive teachings in the religion of Sol, or Solinism. It teaches beliefs based on heaven hell, the gods, in this case God, and the devils. They Belice that a life lived to the fullest is one that saved others, judged others fairly, and defended another person with sword or word to no benefit of one’s self.
"Sol truly was a kind god; not so different from Valenar in promoting fairness and protecting others. The text does mention devils...Perhaps it was an infernal plot that killed him." Korath sighs, closing the book and getting up to help the others search for a secret passage or invisible high priest. (Investigation=3) Quickly realizing that searching is far from his strong suit, he tries casting Detect Evil and Good.

@DM You missed Norb talking to the priests
One steps forward, a short flabby man, and says “we all have been slightly suspicious of the father for quite a while.” He receives multiple glares and elbows to the side. “It’s true!” He yells at them and then turns back to you. “He has been acting strange of late, withdrawing into his office for hours at a time, and has not been sleeping much.” He looks nervous now glancing around. “Sol forbid he be- a traitor, or a disbeliever.”

“Interesting indeed.” Norb smiles “Can any of you remember when the change in behavior began? Perhaps a what changed his behavior? A note? A visitor?” Norberto’s stays behind with the priests as the others rush into the next room

He cringes. “About- 3 weeks ago, and there was really no sign of anything that would cause this.”

Your spell reveals a faint aura of illusion magic cast by a celestial source, most likely divine magic.
Gurog also is focused on the door and waits for Rich to open it so he can go in.
