“Hmm and that is his office then? Odd that his behavior changed without a cause…. You saw him go into there? It seems my companions can’t find him. Any idea where he could have gone off to?”

“N-no sir. He hasn’t told us much of anything, actually.”
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

I hear the others talking about Sol being a benevolent god and it brings a question to mind. I make my way back to the quiet priests and ask "I know little about Sol, or his worshippers, but I was wondering something. Is there a branch of your religion that prays to another God within the pantheon? Perhaps one which opposes Sol?"
Unam the Unseen
I walk into the room where these idiots are blundering around and looking for hidden doors. One fool is randomly waving his arms and punching the air. I sigh softly and walk around, listening closely to the walls left and right of the door. Perception +1 4
Korath frowns, returning to the high priest's large book and examining it's pages more closely. Perhaps the illusion is on the book, hiding instructions for how to open the secret passage or something. Perception 17

Norbertos nods “Fine question lad.” Norberos waits for the priests to answer before asking the next question
”Are there any secret rooms where the grand priest could have escaped to? He disappeared without a trace it seems”
“We do not know of any secret rooms, and to answer the other questions, the only know deity that opposes Sol is asmodus himself, and he is bound to the none hells and cannot have done that which has happened today.”
Seems like an invisibility spell was cast here a long time ago, let’s split up and make sure the invisible item or person still isn’t here. (Investigation 11 / Perception 15)
"Found it!" The usually stoic war cleric can't hide his excitement for a moment, grasping and holding up the invisible item. "A key...Now we just need to find where it goes."

Gurog slaps a hand to his face. We are so stupid. Let’s just ask the hallway full of priests if any have the ability to reveal hidden or invisible items. At least some of them should have useful magics! One of you should do it, I’m terrible with talking to a crowd.

You simply sense a trace, not a location.

Gurog continues searching the room for the source of the illusion. Perception 8 and Investigation 2 (Nat 1 + 1)
Rich continues search the room for a bit, perception roll 5. I'm not finding anything in here. Should we return to the mayor and make a report?
"Yes, some fresh air would be nice anyhow." Aymar says uncomfortably. "It feels a little tight in here anyhow."
Gurog tries to identify the source of the illusion (Arcana 9)
Norb you finding anything in that book?
“Thank you. Is there anything else you can share that would be helpful in this investigation into who killed Sol?”
It seems to be an invisibility spell, cast about a month ago.
Ooc: sorry my phone is not working at all

Korath closes the book and helps search for the invisible thing, feeling along the floor. Perception 15

As you sweep your hands across the floor, you feel it brush something. When you pick it up, you feel the shape of a key.
