Norberos hears the loud bang from within the next room and leaves the weeping priests to the tears, but before he does he says "Heed my words younglings. Grieve yes, but don't sit idly by why the forces of evil uproot your world"
Norb enters the room and asks all those standing around "What is the racket in here? The loud bangs, the cussing, I can feel the frustrations in here."
Since we're in a priest's office, I grab a few sheets of parchment and a cold piece of coal from the fireplace. I place the parchment on the floor, where the wind blew the candle out, and rub the coal on it to make a rubbing. That should help narrow down the hidden door quickly. Perception +1 3
The rubbing comes out smudgy, and not very revealing
As the others play with the hole, Thrudor turns and heads back to the priests who he left sobbing. He was not about to jump down a hole, so he went back to do what he does best "Young sirs, you see there is a secret passage in the ground any idea where it leads?"
Gurog sighs in relief that he didn’t spring a trap. His impatience and haste could’ve spelled disaster. He calls up for the others to follow him and then proceeds down the passage.

“It- we don’t know. We haven’t been told anything! What happened to our good father Elnezar?”
Korath follows, keeping an eye out for traps or the priest.
Perception 21 (As soon as we leave that room lol)
The passage way is simple dirt. It is cold and drafty, and doesn’t feel entirely stable, but not particularly dangerous either. There is a tripwire gleaming about 10 feet ahead, but you can’t see anything else as the passage continues.

OOC - just holy crap guys. Our rolls in this room alone are just outstandingly horrible. Like… WOW
((OOC indeed they are, I'm about over this room, ready to leave it's secrets for another day,))
Gurog, getting frustrated at this room and the magics within, slams his axe down into the floorboards where the draft was discovered.
strength check : 16 or attack to hit: 13
(OOC) don’t worry, I rolled at Nat 20 for nothing on the outside lol
Ooc: Yeah, Korath has almost forgotten why they came here in the first place lol.
I need the forum to implement laughing face emojis for this very reason 🤣

The floor where the candle went out exploded, sending splinters everywhere, and revealing a now jagged hole with a cool draft coming out of it.
Aha! Finally, we shall track that S.O.B. down and get the answers we need. Gurog, somewhat recklessly, slides into the hole to follow the draft.
Korath too is relieved that they can make progress, though he is not quite so eager to jump down the hole without peering inside first.

You see gourog at the bottom, unharmed. It seems to be a passageway leading outside the temple. You can’t see the end of it.

Korath, seeing that it appears safe enough, jumps down the hole as well. "Now, let's find him and get answers."

After some fresh air and calming the nerves, Aymar will head back inside the temple to see if there is any progress.
(ooc) if he sees the hold that was made or the group entering, he will follow
Rich climbs down and follows.
