The arrow misses the blight beside the one Brand had attacked. 

They both lash out at Brand with claw-like roots

Lucius, less impeded by the sun of the overworld than usual, blasts at the blight Ol just missed

Attack: 20 Damage: 12 

The repelling blast pulverises the blight

The fire spreads a little further...

Brand hacks at the one he is still fighting

Talon splits the twig blight down the middle from tip to hip

“Can any of you do anything about this fire?”

Ol starts to yank on a tree branch with good leafs covering to beat out the fire.

Lucius pours some of the water from his waterskin on the embers Ol has beaten down from flame and then starts stomping on the rest 

After a few minutes and a lot of panting, the flames are fully put out. 

Brand puts his hands on his hips and nods, "Good work Ol and Lucius, t'was getting a bit crispy in here. Didn't want to have to see you without any clothes on if it got any hotter." Brand grins.

"Shall we look for more trouble?" Brand looks around.

A thorough search of the interior of the eastern cottage reveals the old chest among the roots of the tree growing up through the house. The chest contains 700 cp, 160 sp, and 90 gp.

Coming out the other side of the second ruined house, Brand sees the path goes left back towards where they came and another unexplored building, or right towards another fork at some trees 

Brand goes into the unexplored building and searches.

A weathered signboard by the door of this large building shows the faded image of a workhorse holding a flagon of ale. The building is sagging and dilapidated, but it is more intact than the ruins across the road.

Four ash zombies lurk in the shadows in this building, slumped against the walls and under the bar. When Brand enters, the zombies groan and stir, slowly climbing to their feet
