Brand looks at Sir Albrek closely using the skills he obtained while studying to be a cleric.

Brand then says "What's wrong with your legs? Why you in such a hurry to see us leave?"
Brand then frowns and says "We have been tasked with returning you or what's left of you to Sildar as you have been missing for over 2 months. I'm afraid we cannot leave without you Sir Albrek."
Brand has treated, and caused, many instances of back and leg pain. He has seen people need staves and canes to walk. It is clear, upon examination, that Iarno is affecting the reliance on the walking aid as it seems deliberate and he is not placing his weight on it at the right time in his steps.
Brand then frowns and says "We have been tasked with returning you or what's left of you to Sildar as you have been missing for over 2 months. I'm afraid we cannot leave without you Sir Albrek."
Brand crosses his arms infront his chest like a parent losing patience with their child and says "I am an acolyte and a cleric Sir Albrek. I have treated and broken many bodies in my training under the Church of Horus-Re. I can tell when someone is pretending to be less able than they actually are. While I can tell you're not lying with your words, it's clear you're hiding something. You feign reliance on that staff while you walk. Why are you in such a hurry to see us leave? What is going on in this ruin of a manor which is supposed to be deserted but instead is full of supplies and bandits?"
Albrek takes a deep breath and closes his eyes. He stands upright, rolls his neck and tucks the staff into the crook of his arm. When he speaks, the warmth is gone from his voice and he has a malign twinkle in his eye.
"Such a keen sense. You are most canny. Would you consider joining my merry band? You have already taken so well to our scarlet cloak I see. I'm sure we could find plenty of 'unpleasant business' for you to turn your hand to."
"I want you to leave because I am busy. It is full of supplies and bandits because I am a business man. What is going on is that I saw an opportunity to make some gold. A constabulary? Ha. To what end? To simply shuffle the crime from one place to another? What a waste."
"Now, as I said, I have many things to do. Will you join me?"
Brand glances at Ol and states "You seem to have a nose for figuring out people are up to no good Ol. The Sun God would be pleased to have a disciple such as yourself."
Brand looks back at Albrek and states "I can't speak for my companions as we all have our motivations but as a Cleric and Acolyte of the Sun God I will have to decline. The punishment for banditry is death after all. If you don't surrender and come quietly, I'll show you what my years of study at the Monastery has taught me about bodies because Sildar did say we wanted to see you or what's left of you."
Brand's eyes narrow at Albrek and lets his words hang in the air as he waits for his companions answers and Albrek to respond.
‘Glass Staff. Glassstaff!? say what you see I guess? Now what do we have here’
Ol picks up and examines the book.

‘Now this could be useful. I’m think this can stay with us’. Ol secures the book into his sack.
Well shall we have a look around? The way I see it is there’s one entrance back there we haven’t explored or we follow our friend who just made the enthusiastic exit.
Brand looks over his shoulder as he hears the sounds of the arrows missing and keeps chasing Glasstaff.
Brand roll his eyes and mutters "A Ray of frost or an eldrich blast would have been nice to slow him down or knock him off his feet...Oh well maybe they will catch up to me at some point"
Brand quickly takes in his surroundings as he enters the room.
It appears to be Iarno's workshop. A rat scurries across out the opposite door just as Brand comes in. There is a large worktable set up with alembics, retorts, distillation coils, and other alchemical devices, all of it stewing and bubbling away. Bookshelves are crowded with sheaves of parchment and strange-looking tomes.
“A pleasure to meet you Sir Albrek” Val nods to the old man.

‘plus what’s with the Skeletons? That Nothic back there was not a fan.’

"And so it turns to violence. Four against one, and you call me the villain? I think not"
Glasstaff turns and runs out the door he had been pacing near, not stopping to even pull it behind him.
Brand draws his shield and gives chase.
‘I’m way too old for all this running’ Ol mutters as he draws his bow and takes aim.
‘THAT’S ENOUGH’
Ol lets fly with an arrow not caring if he hits or just maims. He wants that book.

“Is Brand still running?”
Ols’ shoulders slump as he takes off after them.

The door on the other side of the room is open
Ollanius is too distracted to properly take in anything that is in the book and will need some quiet time with it to get his head around it
Brand casts Sacred Flame on the rat and continues to chase after Iarno by running towards the open door.
