Armeros inclined his head slightly, a small, amused smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Ah, yes. Proper introductions are in order." He said smoothly, addressing the others with a bow. "I am Armeros Vyralis, a humble traveler as well, though my pursuits lean more toward...negotiation, both of the arcane and diplomatic variety. Not to forget my musical talent, of course."
-not exactly sure what you're trying to do with that survival rolls- Jasmine could not hear any signs of a lie while the goddess was speaking, nor could armeros. Awyeth is indeed the goddess of pretty much all things good. She has a large following, but she doesn't care for temples, and her followers tend to not proclaim their religion. A lot of hermits are followers of Awyeth. Awyeeth is fairrly well known, so feel free to ask for any details.
For Remis, just to get his bearings, which way is southeast?
Flynt stands up and brushes the random bits of grass and debris stuck to his backside. He adjusts his bags and gear to ride comfortably. Flynt removes his hat and wipes his brow with a large bandana then stows it away. Looking about he sees no path. He looks at the sky and the trees surrounding them trying to discern which direction southeast is.

Once he has his bearings he says to the others.
"A'ight, we can talk on the trail, best be movin' on. Names Flynt."
says the lawman as he leads the group into the trees.
"Like I said earlier, right before we arrived here in...wherever we are...I'm Taxidea, but my friends - like my new best friend Remis here - call me Badger. And since it looks like we're in this together for the long haul, I guess the rest of you qualify as well." Taxidea takes up a spot near Remis. "But hey, uh, do me a favor? Keep in mind that my legs are a lot shorter than the rest of yours, OK?"

I'm assuming the religion check is for remembering anything about Shigh. You may have heard the name a time or two, but you really don't know anything about her.
Armeros follows the others, slowing his pace to stay near Badger as they presumably head southeast. He has little experience with the wilds so is happy to let those more suited handle the navigating.
"Well, Awyeth--or whoever was masquerading as her--did refer to herself as the goddess of all things 'harmless'." He remarks thoughtfully, thinking on the subject of deities. "Without the ability to do direct harm, it seems she must resort to more creative methods of manipulating mortals...And if her followers are pacifists as well, I suppose that explains why she 'recruited' us."
"That actually makes some sense," Taxidea says to Armeros. "Maybe she never really meant us any harm and it was all just an empty threat. So then the guards were...what? Illusions? I mean they just kind of froze once she disappeared, but they were pretty damn substantial before that. And what about the bandits?" He touches the spot where he was hit with the bandit's crossbow bolt. "That crossbow bolt was no illusion. But maybe those idiots were just in the wrong place at the wrong time."

"Fastest way to test a person's metal is to put 'em in a situation where they have to think fast and act faster. Showed her who she was entrusting the septer to until she could get her hands on it. Only thing that matter now is fetchin' that stick. All those other questions of who deserves it, we decide at the end." says Flynt to no one in particular.
Jasmine will stay somewhere in the middle. She will be ahead of the squishier back-line characters so that no enemy can run up to them without getting past her. And from this position she can also blast enemies with Eldritch Blast to help out the front-liners.
She will comment, "I don't know about you but personally, I'd be much more inclined to help the goddess if she asked nicely or offered rewards. Empty threats or not, imprisoning someone and potentially letting them starve to death if they don't agree to help does not seem harmless or good to me. "

As if to demonstrate, Jasmine shakes the tip of her tail the way rattle-snake might and it creates the familiar rattling. She says, "I am... not very musically inclined, if that's what you mean. Though... sometimes it is nice to slow down and take in the scenery and enjoy a quiet moment here and there."
"Well, if a goddess who plays tricks, and has followers that wants to start wars did so, testing to make sure we won't faint at the sight of blood is important...although when seeing if someone acts odd around blood, one should make sure they know if that person is a vampire. One doesn't want to make wrong conclusions."
As he talks, he looks at the party, noting the different people, and doing his best to see where he should be. Experience has shown him that sometimes, it's best to be where the enemy least thinks you should be, so decides to pace himself towards the back, passively looking for any potential ambushes.

I wonder, if a vampire that hailed from the Shadowfell, would be willing to see the light. There could be any number of infernal pacts, or corruption from the abyss. Though, usually, one would have a better chance of finding an honorable banker, than a casual vampire willingly going into the sun."
