The intruder that spoke first speaks up again. "Oh, my my my where are my manners? I'm Jorge, that one being tended by your friend is Jorgan, and that bumbling idiot tangled up in his scarf is our younger brother Jorgle." (J's pronounced as H's.)
Xondario keeps scanning the surroundings not believing this is a simple encounter. "Your screaming entrance suggests otherwise. We heard you before you came barreling out and chose to give you the option to leave quietly or not, you chose not. Our understanding is these woods are full of thugs and bandits employed by the same master, Shigh. So now that you have woken us from our peaceful slumber, I suggest you take this opportunity to convince us change our assumption about you." Xondario sets the hammer over his shoulder to rest but leaves the flames going on it leaving his face in shadows as the fire light is behind him.
Taxidea looks a little disappointed at not getting to launch a fireball with his new wand. He lowers the wand and nods to each of them in turn. "Jorge. Jorgen. Jorgle. Yeah. For future reference, running screaming out the forest at a bunch of strangers first thing in the morning is probably NOT the best way to introduce yourselves. Especially for short folks like us. Who's plan was that? And who said, 'yeah that's a great plan, let's do it'? You three must be a few sandwiches shy of a picnic. But we haflings now outnumber the tall folks. So if something else comes screaming out of the woods, one of you three won't have a tall person to take cover behind and will need to be sacrificed." He shrugs. "Sorry. That's just the way it is. My vote is for Jorgle because he seems particularly useless." He pauses for a second to see their reaction, and then continues in a serious tone. "I'm kidding of course, nobody needs to be sacrificed -Xondario there is big enough that two of us can share him."
He starts to pace around as he speaks. "I'm Taxidea, but my friends call me 'Badger'," he says, giving a pointed look at Xondario. "Xondario is the the giant guy with the flaming maul, quick-draw McGraw - the one who shot you is Flynt, the lady over there with the scales is Jasmine, the fine horned fellow is my good friend Armeros, Jason is the other tall guy with the polearm and last but not least our fellow haflings and newest members: Rikas and Xini. We dont' work with Shigh, and I gotta say, no offense, but if Shigh sent you three to try and slow us down, I think maybe she's running out of options."

Armeros detects nothing. Jorge glares at Taxidea and answers his question before promptly cheering back up. "I told you, we walked into a thorn bush. Although I'm certain it's the one that walked into us." (After being introduced to the party) "Well, it's good to meat the lot of you. I look forward to working together!"
When the three of them hear the voice in their head, they immediately jump, clearly startled. Jorgle lets out an almost muffled yell, and Jorgan looks around trying to find the source. "WHAT WAS THAT?!?!"
Looking back at the halflings to try and figure out what just set them off, Xondario raisesan eyebrow. "The scream entrance is starting to sound like a more believable story, what are you referring too? Well we were looking for help, but how did you come by looking for us? More mysterious gift givers?"
Jorgle looks around excitedly. "Gifts? What are you talking about gifts? I'll take some gifts!" Jorge gives him a stern look and answer Xondario. "It was a friend of our's, Josif. He said that we should find and help a group of travelers heading towards the tower. And as you aren't trying to kill us, we can only assume he meant you!"
"Josif, you say? Don't tell me you all are related."Armeros can't resist a laugh. All of these similar names are starting to make his head spin. "What kind of help are you meant to provide exactly?"

Jorge bursts out in uncontrollable laughter. "HA, n- n- no, we aren't heeheehee related. HAHA, can you imagine b- bee- b- being related, heehee, to that big, haha bumbling oaf? heeeheeeheee" Jorgan, who clearly found the idea hilarious as well but was better at hiding it responds. "No, we are not related. We are just very close friends. As to what help we can provide? Well, it may be easier to show you." Instantly he disappears, only to show up on the other side of the road with the Jasmine's armour at his feet, and a flaming log from the fire in his hands Then Jorgle, who for the most part has been ignored starts moving his hands in an orbital way around each other causing a ball of flame to start growing. The the fireball was about 10 inches wide, he swept his arms back, launching the flaming orb into the sky at a ridiculous speed. Jorge, who had stopped laughing, stomps the ground a few times and whispers some under his breath, causing thick weeds to sprout out of the ground and grasp at Armers's legs. He than releases Armeros, and Jorgan returns the log to the fire and the armour to Jasmine. "That should give you an idea of how we can assist you. And sorry for using you Lord Armeros." Jorge smiles. The apology seems sincere, be he clearly enjoyed showing off some of his and his brothers powers.
Watching the fireball launch in the air, Xondario shakes his head. "Well you gotten everyone's attention now. Best we pack up and move out before many come looking. We can talk more on the way." Xondario isn't sure if he's happy or worried Josif sent additional help after seeing there futures, hope that this could be the successful time, or did he failure and is trying to change it.
Rikas, seeing the tricks everyone else is doing, will do something similar. Summoning multiple playing cards and throwing them in the direction of the halflings, intentionally missing, twirling around, his cape billowing from the force.
When the group eventually starts to move towards the tower, Rikas will hang in the back, keeping an eye on the 3.
For DM:
Rikas will also, while hanging in the back, will sneak up and check any loose bags for what they might be carrying.
