Flynt lowers his crossbow at the newcomers protests. He doesn't apologize, just scowls silently as the others proceed with their interrogations. As the trio give their answers and explanations, Flynts posture relaxes a bit. Still not entirely trusting of the now 5 new comers he remains attentive and listening, watching closely for any behavioral missteps belying alternate motives.
Jasmine takes some time to don her armor and her shield again so that she can regain much of her defensive abilities. She then continues, walking down the road with the rest of the party.
Then Jorgle, who for the most part has been ignored starts moving his hands in an orbital way around each other causing a ball of flame to start growing. The the fireball was about 10 inches wide, he swept his arms back, launching the flaming orb into the sky at a ridiculous speed.
Taxidea nods and claps Jorgle on the back. "Well, I'm hafling enough to admit when I was wrong. I take back what I said about you Jorgle. I think you and I are gonna get along just fine. But we gotta work on those first impressions."

Flynt doesn't detect anything suspicious.
Jorgle looks offended. "There wasn't a single thing wrong with my 'first impression'! Besides, it was the thorn bushes fault!"
For several days, traveling goes smoothly. No more unexpected encounter, an the road stays on it's path. Just pausing to see if there is anything anyone wants to do over these few days?
Everyone but Xondario was supposed to take a long rest, yes.

For several days, traveling goes smoothly. No more unexpected encounter, an the road stays on it's path. Just pausing to see if tehre is anything anyone wants to do over these few days?

Taxidea will spend those days getting to know his new hafling companions. Maybe comparing spells with Jorgle.

The three newcomers are pretty hesitant to show their full power, but they will display some things they know. (SLIGHT METAGAMING ALERT: They mostly cast a few cantrips, and level one and two spells.) They are very excited to see the magical capabilities of the party, as well as martial. They are very friendly, and while more than a little stupid, it seems as if most of that is a mask, probably to hide their unknown amount of power.
The three don't have much on them. just by observing anyone can tell the following: They each have a pouch of dried meat, a dagger, a bag of tools like caltrops, rope, a cup, stuff like that. They also all have another pouch with some presumably more personal stuff. The only time anyone noticed one of them open one of these pouches was Rikas one night while 'spying' on them, who say Jorge pull out what looked to be a small, framed painting of a family. The three brothers were easy to pick out, but there were at least 5 other figures in the picture, all halflings. Jorge ran his thumb over the image, and although you couldn't see his face, Rikas somehow knew there was a lone tear falling to the ground from a mournful blue eye.

Once again the traveling goes smoothly without any encounters. Then it happens. One morning when the sun is low behind you, you see it shining on the horizon. A humongous structure looming in the distance. Tall, dark, and menacing, it stands out in the landscape like a sore thumb. As dawn passes into day, the tower fades from you, the sun no longer reflecting off of its surface.
(So the tower seems farther away during the day and closer when dark or at least less light out? Or is it just with the sun in the right spot, we got a bit of reflection)
"Well seeing what I'm gonna wager is the tower we are looking for, does anyone else find it strange that we haven't seen any trouble in the road? Maybe our number helps but I can't help but be worried we are in for a big resistance once we get a bit closer. Best we travel the rest of the way expecting a trap at any moment. " Xondario wasn't sure what to expect but going untested all this time seems stranger then constant pestering.
"Well, it's about time. At least we know we're still headed in the right direction." He pulls out his wand again. "Big resistance? Bring it on!"
