"Maybe one or more from the celestial planes, or possibly the abyssal, has taken note of our solving the road for that troupe. Maybe making the suggestion to the caravan to ask the road to take them to some answers to the road raised some ire?"
Leo is with you, and speaks up. "I believe we should take this chance to rest. The fire can spread fast, but we should be able to run faster. Besides, judging that sky over there, combined with this wind, it should be raining soon. I'll stand guard if everyone else wants to rest." Upon being asked to move, the road does nothing. Behind you it moves closer to the edge of the fire, but the road beneath and in front of you doesn't do anything.
Armeros plays a few quick, jaunty notes, casting healing word on Taxidea (+5 hp). "That's the best I can do. And I also would rather get out of these woods to rest; flames spread more quickly than you'd think, not to mention there could be other dangers."
Taxidea sits down next to Remis. "You ok? They got you pretty good didn't they?"
Then he turns to Armeros. "Thanks Armeros, I'll take any healing I can get. I mean, today I've been shot with a crossbow, stabbed, and now burnt. I'm ready for a rest...and a stiff drink if anyone brought anything along..."

"Road, please loop over where the trees are on fire so they disappear before they burn the place down." Xondario figures they don't have the means to put out a forest fire but don't want to let it spread either.
Jasmine claps her hands and nods with approval. "I had not thought of that... I don't know if it will work but it isssss worth a shot."
Jasmine sits down. While she is not the most injured of the party, she could really benefit from a Short Rest (Warlock reasons). It is also becoming apparent by now that her speech gains those long s-sounds when she is agitated or when she is in or have recently gotten out of a tense situation... like almost burning to death via Fire Elemental.

Turning to Jason, Jasmine says, "I believe elementals are sssssummoned from the elemental planes. So they would be from the Elemental Plane of Fire. Do not quote me on that. My education on the matter is not formal and may have inaccuracies."

"If we'd brought enough...does anyone know how explosive Fire Elementals are? If you toss some 'spare' drink, what would that effect be on them? Maybe enough would cause them to 'overload'? Not that one would like to waste a good drink, but if it comes to drink or life..."
"An interesting question. Would they burn hotter or simply get drunk?" Armeros wonders with a chuckle. A cruel fate indeed if their fiery nature kept them from the joys of a good drink.
"Well road, I think we've been humbled enough for one day, any chance you know of a town nearby you could lead us too?" Xondario wasn't the most trusting in a road that can change at will, even by request, but he was starting to feel more comfortable with it, almost like the road was another member of thier party.
"That could not have been random. There's either some strong mortal villains that have taken note of us...or some additional immortals, beyond the one that recruited us. I've gotten turned around since the fight. Did those things chase us away from the tower? If so, then we'll need to rethink how we handle this...quest."
"It could very well be." Armeros agrees with Jason, giving a sigh. "I will now reiterate my interest in finding a town. We can stock up on liquor and gather information."
Jasmine responds, "I feel I have said this already but I will second Armeros's interest in finding a town." She pauses before adding, "I will pass on the liquor though. The information gathering is what truly interests me."

No, he only has 1 level of Bard so far and it unlocks at 2.

The road almost seems to grumble as it slowly turns to the west, proving a straight (ish) path.
