You know it's not magical but there is no lock to pick
I relize y'all never described trying to open the door. Let me give more info. There is a handle on the door that does not turn if you push on the door it does not open inwards. It does not look (from perception) like on can open out towards you.
The floor suddenly falls out from below altar. Before anyone can react the man falls to his doom. Strange lights appear around the rest of the party causing you to shield your eyes. As the light fades you find yourselves back on the hill standing in front The two mounds. Down the hill you hear two new voices as the sun begins to rise
DM: new party members please introduce yourselves.
One of the figure is an elf standing about 5'8" wearing leather armor and a dark green cloak, with a short bow over one shoulder. As he approaches, the elf says "I am Harald."
The other figure is a tall, older human in full blueish plate armor, riding a gleaming warhorse. He raises his hand and shouts "Hark, explorers! Are you the party I was sent to meet?"
"Oh, uh yes, maybe, probably? were you sent by the rich lord Lord Richman?" Orjon replies, a little shocked at the ceiling falling and the yelling man. "Umm, my name is Orjon, we are here exploring these tombs as per his request."
for the new players, Orjon is a very tall, older, goliath, with a large strong, beginning to gray, beard, and many tattoos. Although he is definitely large as per being a goliath, he doesn't have bulging muscles or something like most people might expect, although he seems very fit. He speaks loudly and confidently most of the time, but being surprised by you both rn he is probably not as boisterous.

"That we are! I had some difficulties finding a new shield in town, and by the time I found it, it was too late and I had to sleep at the inn. Does that hole lead to the fetid tomb?"
Ooc: What does the entrance look like at this point in time?
”Well it seems we have done a bit of reconnaissance inside and may now proceed to explore othe means of entry perhaps what say you two, (assuming reputation proceed them as ours initially did for us. We have heard of or worked together in the past.) Well you may be late but perhaps just in time let’s forego our initial entry and see if there are others?”
Leif uses his Contact Patron feature to ask 3 questions regarding entering the Tomb; is there another entry into this tomb? If we dig will we find it? Is it less dangerous then the first one we used?
Themson: you are standing on top of the mound right now and can't see the entrance. The party would let you know they found an entrance to the North and a point of interest to the east and west suggesting 2 more possible entrances.
Leif: is there another entry into this tomb? Yes
If we dig will we find it? Yes
Is it less dangerous then the first one we used? Most likely not
"I say we go in through the North entrance. Your patron says the other one's no less dangerous, but says nothing about whether it's more dangerous. At least we know this one won't drop us into lava or some such. Anyways, digging would take hours and I'd like to have a roof over my head tonight, no matter how evil that roof's owner."

can I see if it’s meant to move upwards, downwards, or sideways, like a sliding door?
As you push downwards there is a click and the door slides into the floor. The next room looks much like the last empty with a door on the other side
Nice! I’d like to ritual cast detect magic
The room has a faint red glow of evocation
This one seems dangerous as well guys. Let’s investigate it thoroughly before entering.
Sorry guys, but I’m going to drop from this campaign. It’s my fault for not fully understanding the module, but it’s not really fun for me.
No worries. Sorry it was not fun for you
Thanks. And to be clear, you did a good job DMing, it’s just the nature of the module.
Leif dismounts off of Rax and lures him into the red room with a minor illusion of a tasty green snake…

Harald nods in agreement with Themson when asked about Lord Richman, but other than his initial greeting remains relatively quiet.
