Morgot smiles at the rogueish Eladrin. "I might have information that you are looking for. I met the Dao in combat just a day or two ago. I won, too. He definitely isn't powerful enough to take on the whole king's guard today. However, your attack has made me angry, and I will now fight you in single combat, like I did the Dao." Persuasion: 24

On his first turn, he casts divine favor, and mind sliver for 3

Int Save 22. [Eladrins turn, since he's been challenged to single combat] The Eladrin pulls out a short spine and stabs it into Morgot. 

charges and swings his staff at Morgot, muttering an incantation. A wisp of green light bolts towards Morgot, and his skin starts drying up. Make a DC 14 Con save or take 1 piercing damage and be paralyzed and take 11 acid damage.

Whisper sighs as Morgot and the eladrin begin their duel, pulling the arrow out of her shoulder and casting cure wounds on herself while she has the chance (+12 HP). She glances at Thrudor. "Do you think we should show him the plate? It was buried right outside the cave...He'd probably know more about it, but..."

Strength save 12 failed briefly grappled and 13 necrotic damage.  Linos is subdued as the others discuss the goals and intentions of the eladrin. 

Seeing that Beans is injured, Whisper heads over and casts cure wounds on him too (+10). "What are you doing here anyway?" She asks in Halfling.

To Everyone by the Cave

The eladrin walks back into the cave. "Here's a deal for you. My spiders have been entering the fields occasionally to scout, seeing if they can find the Dao. I'll stop sending them as long as I get 1 piece of information about the Dao; I want to know how much magic he has.." He points at Morgot. "You said you fought the Glass Dao. How powerful was his magic? Was it effective, or did you beat him easily?"

Linos replies in halfling, "Seems like I'm getting in over my head.  A common theme all of my life.", (standing at just over 3').  Linos flexes his arms and stretches his back, "Thank you for that, you've really got the healer's touch."  Still a little out of touch with what just transpired Linos asks, "So did we just agree to help that spider guy?"

"Ha, you're not the only one, believe me." Whisper can barely believe all that's happened in just a day. "No problem. And he seems to think so, at least. Some big folks can be so bossy." She can't resist rolling her eyes as she peers at the eladrin trying to get information out of Morgot. "It will be good if he'll keep his spiders out of the fields, I guess. Say, have you seen the glass dao too? Seems a lot more people than I thought have...He hit me with a magic sword yesterday, actually. Not sure if he or the eladrin are worse."

To Everyone by the Cave

The Eladrin finishes cutting down the web cage. "I'm no villain, I'm here to slay the villain. You'll see more of us wardens soon enough. I don't care if I get to him first, as long as someone gets to him." He walks up and drops something on the ground, a bronze ring with a Z engraved on it. "Return this to Jeran Zephadee for me. He's in the city, though he'll be hard to find."

"No can't say I have, but I'll keep the magic sword in mind if I ever come across him."  Linos stands a little taller as he talks with Whisper, kinda turns his head a little so not to show his eyepatch.  "Why are you called Whisper?  I'm called Beans cause I barter lamb for beans, turns out sheep respond very well to beans as treats."

"Huh, never thought of that. I'm Whisper because," She stops talking aloud, continuing with telepathy, "I can be pretty quiet when I want to. It's good for sneaking around and keeping secrets." 

To Everyone by the Cave

The Eladrin is now gone, [so you must all decide what to do next, individually or as a group]

Linos picks up the ring, “Well this is very interesting.  Return to Jeran Zephadee he’s in the city.  Sure why not, wanna tag along, Whisper?”

"Sure. I want to find a scholar or someone to examine a weird artefact I dug up anyway, and the city is probably the best place to look." Whisper nods.

"The fight was a difficult one, however, his magic wasn't very strong. He seemed to have prowess in combat, and mentioned that it grew stronger as he continued." 

Morgot continues to glare at the Eladrin, however, once he leaves, Morgot says, "I'll leave it up to you to return the ring. I'm going to be exploring the dark waste." He strikes out in the direction of the dark waste, his sword over his shoulder.

It isn't hard to get to the dark waste. After a few minutes, it's beginning to get hard to see, since the Dark Wastes have no natural light source. It's quiet too, other than the occasional calls of distant monsters from all directions, and that unusually beautiful humming to the east wastes that seems otherworldly. To the west, it's strangely rocky and uneven with large footprints, where a rushing river can be heard, which is strange in a world like this.
