Razz would hand them to Kess and ask, "Do you know what these are? I've not come across them before."

Satisfied that they've searched the kitchen well enough, Kess heads into the dining room next to take a better look around.

Perception: 22

An ornate dining table stretches the length of this room, a crystal chandelier hanging above it imperiously. The silverware is tarnished, the dishes chipped, yet all are still quite elegant. Eight chairs, their backs adorned with sculpted elk horns, surround the table. Arched windows made of a latticework of iron and glass look out onto the small, fog-swept estate. Connected to the dining room if a parlor. Here three elegant couches surround an oval table made of black glass. All are set in front of a blazing hearth, above which hangs the portrait of a smirking nobleman sporting a broken nose and a tangle of hair graying at the temples. Several smaller portraits hang on the north wall. There are two more doors, neither locked.

((Is the silverware actual silver and is any of it sharp?))

The knives are somewhat sharp, about as a steak knife. Not what you'd want for a weapon, but it's better than nothing. Make an investigation check.

Investigation: 20

They seem to be coated in a small layer of silver, but not entirely made of it.

Kessintra is slightly disappointed, but will take one of the steak knives since it's the sharpest silver-ish thing they've come across.

Garrick is still following the group, crossbow up, waiting for something to run at them.

”I don’t trust this house or that girl for a second. If she’s anything like her mother, we’ve got trouble waiting for us.” 

Razz follows Kess into the dining room but is bored until he sees her snatching a knife.  He wonders over and seeing the silver, he grabs the rest of the cutlery.  "I wonder if we can find a blacksmith that could smelt this all down and refine it for us into something a bit more useful?" With that, he heads over to the portrait and nods at he is assumes was the lord of the manor, "Sorry about that, I promise we won't take everything not nailed down."  He wonders over to the black table wondering why they had something so unique and if it was before or After the curse took over this land.

Perception 16

With the mention of the girl, Razz would also start wondering where she's at, "Do you all think she's up on the second floor?  I'm assuming that's where the bedrooms are.  I mean we've only come across all the common rooms down here so far, right?"

Kess nods as Razz mentions the second floor. "Yes, it seems like the bedrooms would be up there. I think we should see what she's like and get her out of the house if possible before venturing into the basement. Whatever Fiona has set up down there could be volatile."

"Seems likely for the second floor." agrees Chipper. He delights at the find of silver, even in such low quantities. He keeps scanning with his detect magic but also keeps an eye out for any signs of hidden doors/traps. "If she's a cultist there may be hidden things within too."

Investigation: 15+7 = 22

No hidden doors or traps. Detect magic finds nothing. The curse on the land appears to have been here for several centuries, and the table seems newer than that.

Chipper points out the newness of the table. "Perhaps the table is covering something?" he suggests, as a possible avenue by the which the party could reach the basement when ready.

Kessintra examines the table and the area beneath it for mechanisms or signs of a trapdoor.

Investigation: 5 -.-

You can't seem to find anything of the sort.

Kessintra gives a shrug as her search turns up nothing, moving instead to take a closer look at the portraits by the hearth. "Hm, the patriarch of the family I assume. Perhaps Fiona went crazy when her husband died," she muses of the man's portrait, looking at the other pictures curiously.

Perception: 6

The other portraits are very similar: man who appear to be ancestors of Fiona. One of them, however, seems different from the others. You can't seem to figure out why.

Razz will look around the room one more time before heading towards the stairs
