Ireena nods and leads you to the town's main square, where a single shaft of light thrusts illumination, its brightness looking like a solid pillar in the heavy fog. Above the gaping doorway, a sign hangs precariously askew, proclaiming this to be the Blood on the Vine tavern. Ireena turns to you all. "This is the place."

Amelia frowns. “Zombies and undead are little match for my lord’s light, and as for wolves, I trust they can be handled. But what troubles me is the absence of the dark prince himself.”
She crosses her arms, casting a wary look toward the tavern entrance. "Naming it ‘Blood on the Vine’—in a land ruled by a vampire—feels like a cruel joke.”
“Whatever he’s planning, it won’t be pleasant. I’m considering taking Ireena to Madame Eva. If Strahd is still honoring his promises, perhaps she would be safer among those travelers, at least for a time. But first, let’s hear whatever plan Ismark has in mind.”
Ireena is about to enter the tavern, but stops dead in her tracks. She looks back at Amelia as if she had that the Barovian sky was beautiful. "To the Vistani? You do know that the vast majority of them are allied with Strahd, right?"

"I did hear a rumor like that," Kessintra remarks about the Vistani, "Perhaps they lured us here to be sacrifices to their Lord...Eva did give us a lot of information if that was her intent though. Either way, what we must do is the same."
Ireena nods and enters the tavern. The whole place is dead silent. The vistani sit near the bartender, who is mindlessly cleaning glasses. There aren't many others, but there are a few scattered around. A voice rings out from the corner table. "Ireena!" It's a young man with a patchy beard and splint armor. He looks a lot like the burgomaster.
"What are you doing outside the hou-" His eyes dart to Kessintra. "Why are there two of you?" Ireena chuckles. "It's called a disguise, brother."

Zan follows along, keeping his eyes open ass the group makes it way to the tavern. He'll hold the door for the others to enter, keeping an eye on our backs as they do. After everyone has entered he look around once more to make sure no one is watching or following, then enter.
Kessintra gives Ismark a small wave and slight mischievous look as Ireena addresses him, staying ever close to her in order to cause confusion if need be. "We are here to help put your father to rest, and hear this plan of yours...Away from this 'bustling' tavern, of course." She is surprised it isn't more packed, considering how on-edge everyone they've met is. Her eyes drift to subtly study the Vistani in particular.
"The Vistani are allied with this... Strahd?" mutters Chipper quietly. He wonders if they'd lucked out meeting the few that weren't or if, perhaps, there was more at play.
He dismisses Skipper to his pocket dimension before entering the tavern with the others. Chipper nods at Kessintra's words to Ismirck and looks over the fellow, getting a gander of his general size and shape compared to Chipper's.
[[ Gauging if he's taller/shorter, thinner/fatter, etc. for a potential disguise self to complement Kessintra's Ireena disguise if needed. ]]
//Self-Note: Ask about what complications are anticipated that kept the burial of the father delayed. Mere issues with strength for hauling the coffin and digging? Or something related to the vampire or others that would interfere?
The three vistani are quietly laughing with each other while sipping some wine. Ismirk looks between the two of you, dumbfounded. "Right....... Ok. I can tell you all my plan either at the church or on the way there. In either case, we should go pick up my father's body."
Back at the mansion, Ismirk grabs hold of two handles on one side of the coffin. Two similar handles await on the other side. "Any volunteers?"
The two of you lift up the coffin. It's heavier than expected, but nothing you can't handle. You can tell why he needed help, though. There are no good places to grip the coffin other than the handles, so if he tried to do it alone he would've dragged it through town. Eventually you make it through to the other side of the village, to a church with a graveyard behind it.
Atop a slight rise, against the roots of the pillar stone that supports Castle Ravenloft, stands a gray, sagging edifice of stone and wood. This church has obviously weathered the assaults of evil for centuries on end and is worn and weary. A bell tower rises toward the back, and flickering light shines through holes in the shingled roof. The rafters strain feebly against their load. The heavy wooden doors of the church are covered with claw marks and scarred by fire.

Kessintra stays close to Ireena as they make their way to the church. As they arrive she casts a glance at the ominous castle above before turning her attention to the church, keeping an eye out for any hidden foes or potential hazards.
Someone knock to gain entrance, we should get this inside as soon as possible. It looks like this building has withstood some attacks, so it should be better to be in than out.

Garrick assigns Striker to follow closely to Kessintra to protect her. Yes, let’s go to the tavern.

OOC - I generated a better character image for Garrick and Striker.

Garrick will store his shield and grab one of the handles with his left hand, keeping his hand crossbow in the other.
OOC - can Garrick see if it’s too heavy for him before heading out? He has 9 strength lol.
