"Ah, that's no problem. It seems Fiona was casting gentle repose on him over and over since then. No decay at all. I wonder why she didn't ask you to bring him back right away...Do you think he could replace her?"
Razz flits into the church, glancing around with clear concern, wings frantically flicking as he scans the area.
"Alright, first thing’s first—where’s the tiger? Because Kess just bought a buffet for it, and I’d really like to confirm that it knows I’m not on the menu."
He hovers slightly, arms crossed, before glancing at the group.
"Second thing—so, uh… does anyone else feel like maybe leaving a pile of cultist bodies in a basement was not our brightest idea? I mean, sure, we took care of Fiona, but I feel like Barovia has a really bad track record with things staying dead when they’re supposed to."
He gestures vaguely toward the church’s holy ground.
"Just saying, if anything from that house decides to get back up, I have a real bad feeling it’s going to be knocking on this door in the middle of the night."
Ada is disappointed that the tiger is not already at the church, but she just shrugs. She smiles at Ireena's handling of the lute. Even with a few bad notes, she's far better a musician than the aasimar could ever hope to be. The music lightens the mood as well and has a hopeful tone to it, which the paladin very much appreciates in this dark land.
"If we could resurrect Fiona's husband, he could take over leadership," Ada agrees. "Even if he is a Watcher, from what you said, he didn't commit any acts as atrocious as Fiona did. I guess that's the best you can ask for in a land like this."
Ada glances over at Razz and nods. "You have a point. We should have burned the bodies. I should have thought of that at the time."
"Him? I guess he wouldn't be a bad leader, per se. Strahd would probably approve, and it's gonna be him or his children. No one else knows how to lead." He nods to himself. "Very well. If you wish, I will revive him, but remember that I've already cast spirit guardians today. If I bring him back, I won't be able to cast it again until tomorrow. Do you want me to revive him now or after the attack?"

"Oh yes, I remember the spirit guardians alright," Kess mutters with a grimace, "They would certainly be good to have for the fight, and I'd rather not risk you leaving the church until it's over. But what do the rest of you think?"
Razz leans back slightly, wings flicking as he considers.
"Yeah, I’m with Kess on this one—probably safer if you stay put until we know the coast is clear. Last thing we need is you getting caught between us and whatever Strahd decides to throw at us next."
He gestures toward the church doors.
"Besides, if things go sideways, I’d rather have you inside the holy ground with your magic ready to go instead of out there trying to dodge trouble."
Kess will take a long rest (4 hours because of Trance) then try to find a good place to keep watch, hiding on the roof of the church if necessary to get a good view.
Razz stretches his arms overhead, wings giving a lazy flick as he finds a comfortable spot to settle in.
"Well, guess it’s time to actually sleep like a normal person. You know, without the convenience of infinite wakefulness."
He sighs dramatically, rolling onto his side.
"Honestly, that whole ‘never needing to sleep’ thing sounds real nice right about now. But no, I just had to take the more dramatic celestial route instead."
He smirks to himself, eyes closing as he gets comfortable.
"Ah well, at least this way, I can still appreciate the fine art of a good nap."
Ada decides to sleep on one of the pews. It's wooden and not the most comfortable but better than sleeping on the floor. She has her pillow and blanket so she ends up being able to sleep pretty peacefully, especially knowing she is within the church, a safe place. She does take off her armor to go to sleep. When she wakes up in whatever passes for a "morning" here in Vallaki, she spends ten minutes suiting herself back up in the armor.
The paladin has no idea what Razz was saying before he went to sleep. She gave him a quizzical look before falling asleep herself. The strange little fairy kept talking about taking things or going different routes. Ada just chalked it up to Razz being a little more eccentric than the rest of them.
In the morning Chipper readies himself for the plans of the day and then calls back Skipper.

Skipper has seen quite a few vampires coming and going. The only notable events are an injured hooded figure running out of the castle, Rahdin arriving back, and Strahd, Ludmilla, Rahadin, and half a dozen other vampires leaving by carriage.
Kess:
In the middle of the night, you see a sturdy carnival wagon drive up and park in front of the curch, its colorful paint peeling off. Faded lettering on its sides spells out the words “Rictavio’s Carnival of Wonders.” A heavy padlock secures the back door. Rictavio exits the wagon and heads in the direction of the inn.

Kess slides down her rope to the ground excitedly, calling "Thank you!" to Rictavio before moving to inspect the wagon and tiger if it is visible. She wishes the others were awake, but doesn't want to interrupt their rest.
In the morning, Razz flits over to Chipper, watching as he finishes casting Mage Armor. His wings twitch with curiosity as he tilts his head.
"Alright, so I gotta ask—how exactly does that work? The whole Mage Armor thing? Because from where I’m standing, it looks like you just waved your hands, said some fancy words, and poof—now you’re harder to hit. And frankly, that sounds very useful for someone my size."
He crosses his arms, smirking slightly.
"Been thinking about picking up a few new tricks myself, and I figured—who better to pester about arcane secrets than our resident magic expert? So tell me, Chipper—what else is rattling around in that spellbook of yours?"
The wagon suddenly lurches, as though something big has thrown itself against the inside wall. You hear the cracking of wood, the scraping of metal, and the snarl of something inhuman. Upon closer inspection, you see that the wagon's sides are spattered with dry blood. You also see an inscription on the wagon’s door frame that reads, “I bring you from Shadow into Light!” It may not be visible, but there's a tiger in there.

Kessintra flinches and backs away from the wagon, unnerved. She's never personally encountered a tiger before, so is unsure if the strength and noises are normal or not. The creature will certainly be an asset in the fight...if they can ensure that it only attacks their enemies. She will resume her watch on the roof. If nothing further happens during the night she will inform the others of the tiger's arrival and the inscription on the wagon once they are all awake.
