Ian cuts deep with his first swing but misses with the other three.

Arafiel launches another firebolt at the hobgoblin/hyena  Attack: 23 Damage: 11

Arafiel’s firebolt flies past the ear of Ian’s Hobgoblin and past Tyrus and Conalt before slamming into the Hobgoblin and his Giant Hyena mount doing damage to them both.

Tyrus keeps at the hobgoblin running to the hyena.

Tyrus chops the legs out from underneath the Hobgoblin forcing him to the ground.

Conalt misses with his mace but his spiritual weapon pierces the Hobgoblin armor.  A frozen look on his face is all that remains as the Hobgoblin dies in the dirt.

The Commander chases after the Hobgoblin and attempts to run him through with a large bladed spear.

Attack: 16 Damage: 9

At the last moment the Hobgoblin is able to dodge the spear. He swings wildly at the legs of the Commander’s horse.

 He misses badly.  He is about 50 feet from Ian as he rides away.

Ian pursues the commander but switching to his bow.  He takes aim at the Giant Hyena.

Ian’s first arrow sinks into a leg on the Hyena but the second hit topples the rider as the beast struggles to move forward.

None standing but last Hobgoblin and his Hyena still alive but now prone and at disadvantage.

The fire engulfs the injured Hobgoblin sending him to his grave.  The giant Hyena struggles to get away from the burning corpse of his master.

Tyrus stands back, wiping the blood from his blade on a nearby hobgoblin body. "Let the beast go. Its fault lies with its dead master."

The Commander pursues the Hyena a few feet before turning around.  He dismounts and starts to check the men from his company to see if any can be saved.  A little embarrassed by the turn of events, he somewhat mumbles “thank you for saving me and for your great effort in clearing the bridge.”

Arafiel approaches the bridge  checking any fallen on his side

Conalt, still coming to grips with the idea that he can fry once-living things to a crisp, drops his weapon and falls to one knee.

Ian sends his weasel to check for the living as he begins to search the campsite of the Hobgoblin.
