OOC: glad its first watch then :)

OOC: I guess the song really affected the lot of us and became sleepy.

Ian goes through his daily ritual with the dire wolf pups before taking his long rest. “I will take third watch.  I wish these wolves were a little older.  They could help us guard at night.”

Tyrus volunteers the final watch.

Over the course of the night, strange sounds can be heard out in the Mere.  Even the dire wolves seem to react to the strangeness from the Mere.  As night moves to its darkest and deepest time Tyrus is on watch.  Tyrus notices a fog move in all around the camp.  Just beyond the fog he can faintly see a moving mist with no defined shape approaching the camp.

OOC:  we set 3 watches  Thag and Bog,  Ian and Arafiel, Tyrus and Arafiel

does Arafiel notice anything more than Tyrus?

Arafiel notices the same mist.  He also hears the whispers of a voice saying “did you think I could so easily be forgotten?”

Arafiel nudges Tyrus--"Got any Paladin tricks for that thing?"

Tyrus snaps out of his staring. This mist gives me a bad feeling. "Hey! Wake up, everyone!" he shouts.

He draws Talon, holding it defensively. When the mist gets closer, he closes his eyes, praying to Bahamut and opening his divine senses.

Action: Divine Sense, once the mist is within 60 feet.

Tyrus senses an evil undead presence within 60 feet.  The mist before you transforms into the shape of a human.  “Did you think I could be so easily forgotten?” Says a voice through the fog.

The person easily avoids the fire and moves out of the 60 foot range.

"By the gods! No! It can't be!"

Thagakh lowers his magical greatsword as he exclaims his groundbreaking conclusion.

"Old Akaas, is that you? Did you finally succumb to old age?"

Ian scrambles from his bead.  Quickly dons his breastplate and bow.  “What is going on?  Where is our attacker?”  Turning to Thagakh “did you say that you saw old Akaas?

“Your friend is now a fiend.  Take care as you travel. I am so lonely in this state.  One of you can join me and my new master.”  The voice of Johnson called out to you all and the night grew calm.  The fog retracted back into the Mere.  A few moments later the sky began to lighten with the approach of dawn.  No trace of your visitor can be seen other than footprints.

"Well that doesn't bode well,  but at least we have some light for the rest of the night"

"Well I did not like that at all," Tyrus states. "Johnson is very much undead now. We should probably double up watches for a few more nights."

He begins dismantling camp and preparing for the day's travel.

Ian looks at everyone and says, “ should we have not buried him?  That sounded like he wants us to be like him.  What is he a zombie, vampire, or something worse?  He also said he has a master.  Wonder if he will be visiting us also.”

After talking he completes daily rituals with the wolves and attuned to his daggers.  He eats quickly and prepares to hit the road.

"i am not very knowledgable on undead but i dont think zombies have capability of speach, legend does speak of master vampyres though"

The road to Thornhold continues between the mountains and the Mere most of the day.  All characters please make a history check and adjust your rations.  I have updated experience points to reflect events to this point.
