The group prepares to depart.  It is morning and all hp is restored to full levels.  

Ras will need to introduce himself to his companions again in the morning since he is now clean shaven, bathed and his cloak is now a rather nice Long Black Cloak with a hood which is not up.  "I am sorry for the my appearance last evening."

Coming out of Waterdeep you follow the Trade Way road to the southeast for 50 miles.  Along this path you will need to cross two major bridges.  It should take two days to reach Daggerford.  From there you will either take a boat up the Delimbiyr River or travel along the road next to it to Secomber for about 45 miles to the east.  From there you will not see anymore major cities.  The last stretch follows the river named Unicorn Run to the Star Mountains.  This is the longest and most dangerous portion of 120 miles through the High Forest to the north.

Please indicate travel order and travel mode.  Roll for your initiative.  After everyone has posted it will be lunch time.

As the group travels along the road towards the time for lunch, you see a group on horseback down the road heading your way.  They are all dressed alike and are traveling in formation.  They are about a half mile ahead of you.

The half-orc tries to discern what the large group on horseback is wearing from afar.

Conalt is also trying to spy on the approaching group. Are they wearing a recognizable uniform?  Are they just similarly dressed bandits?

From a distance you can see that they are dressed in dark purple.  The emblem on their shields and breastplates is that of the lords of Waterdeep which is a crescent moon opening upward with a star inside.

They do look intense but not like bandits.
