Using his heightened senses, Thagakh will check the environment for any distinct sound or smell coming from the small grove of trees ahead of them.

Perception 15

Thagakh can clearly make out the smell of Orcs, Horses, and the faint smell of a hyena.

The half-orc gives his warning to his fellow members in a quiet manner.

"Thagakh's senses definitely tells there are a lot of orcs and hyenas behind the grove of trees.

Thagakh thinks this is a good time to prepare for combat before we go near that place."

The half-orc performs the rite of the storm to his weapon and transforms into a hybrid wereboar.

"That's one thing I can help with," Conalt says, and pulls a tiny strip of white cloth out of his pocket.  He mutters a few words and casts Aid (2nd level) on himself, Thagakh, and Tyrus.

"How dry do you think those trees are" 

Since you are so close to the coast, the Are is well hydrated.

If there is a way to continue forward away from the trees to check the road around the bend, Ian continues to scout forward.

Ian was able to move to about 800 yards forward before he spots an orc camp behind the grove of trees.  From his vantage point, he can see at least 8 orcs some with horses and two with hyenas.  They do not spot you bet they are all active.

Using hand signals, I tell the group that I have spotted the Orcs and how many I see.

I remain in my spot.

"Thagakh will try to distract them and focus their attention to Thagakh. The rest can prepare for an ambush."

The wereboar boldly swings his weapon as he merrily jogs to the orc encampment, speaking in orc.

Tyrus draws Talon and studies Ian intently, ready to strike at the first sign of trouble.

Arafiel gets into a position where he can see both Thag and Ian

As Thagakh (in wereboar form) approaches the Orc, it does not take long before they appear alarmed and take a defensive stance while alerting the rest of their group.  Thagakh can hear them saying, 

 Six Orc spread out and grip their javelins to throw at Thagakh.  They seem to wait just a second to see if he will respond to their command.  Back behind them you can see two much larger Orcs.  Near them is one War horse and a giant Hyena.

Conalt readies his light crossbow and waits.

OOC can i get realtive distance to the pack and the larger ones?

The smaller orcs are about 100 yards from Thagakh, 800 yards from Ian, and 1000 yards from the rest of your group.  The larger Orcs are 50 yards further back.

Ok so have to close the distance 

As the group continues to move forward, I follow and keep an eye out for places to take cover.

Feeling like Thagakh is getting too far ahead and possibly out of range for arrow support, Ian moves quickly to about 100 yards from Thagakh but always behind cover.
