(You recognize it as a short sword. When they turn, you see hand crossbows hanging on their belts in easy reach as well, and all of you are well acquainted with the poisoned bolts they use at this point)

(It would still work the same for you, no additional damage or anything. You would feel less oppression, but you don't have any spellcasting focus or components.)

Dagna notices that the magical suppression seems to weaken as they exit the cell and follow Shor. If only she had a focus...Or spell components. The easiest to find would be a drop of water for ice knife. She resolves to keep a lookout for that or any other components.

As you step out of the cell, stairs to your right lead down to another area. Another drow is leading two quaggoths towards the groups, coming up the stairs. The guards start roughly moving you to your left, up some other stairs, and to a long bridge that connects to another platform. You start getting a sense of Velkynvelve as you cross the bridge, looking down into spiderwebs and darkness. You seem to be in a hollowed out stalactite, connected to several others by rope bridges and stairs. Beneath you are thick, white spiderwebs criss-crossing between the platforms. Underneath that is nothing but darkness...you can't even tell how high up you are.

The drow lead you past another door that's next to a staircase leading further up the stalactite, and across another bridge. Here, the groups split- Jorlan takes his group to the left and into what seems to be a barracks. Shor takes the other group ahead to another archway.

Karys adopts a resigned, defeated attitude as she follows the scarred drow Jorlan out of their prison. She chances a glance at Nacht and the others, hoping they are still prepared to escape should an opportunity arise to do so.

You each wake up bruised, bleeding, and sore. Everyone is still at 1hp...you did not have a restful few hours. You feel like you've been dragged back to the slave pen with no regard for any obstacles that were in your path. Several of you bear new scourge marks, and Edwin is now restrained with two manacles going halfway up his arm. It looks like everyone survived the battles, but everyone looks worse for wear. Elspeth, Buppido, and the orc are all still knocked out, Derendil looks like he's been mauled pretty well, covered in bite marks and slashes.

Stool fusses around, trying to wake Elspeth. When he sees the four of you waking up, he talks to you in your minds with his tiny voice. Is everyone okay?!? What happened?

Edwin:

Struggling to a partially seated position, Edwin looks around at the others, smiling grimly to himself when he doesn’t see Dagna imprisoned with him and the others.  He is surprised to be alive after his outburst, but he waits for someone else to answer the posed question first.

Dagna stirs next to Elspeth, cursing in dwarvish and forcing herself to sit up and into view of Edwin. She gives the aasimar as apologetic of a look as she can manage over the pain. Looking to Stool, she tries to explain telepathically to everyone. "One of the guards on our end hit Edwin, so he hit back, then the rest of us did too. Argh, if I had me Spellbook...! I had to run and ended up finding Elspeth and the others. Looked like they had tried the same thing and it went just as well. I missed Jorlan with a spell and got knocked out."

Stool's alien, mushroom features contort into what could only be construed as wonder as he gazes at Dagna. You fought them? Wow...I wish I was that brave. I'm too scared to be brave. He looks at the ground, ashamedly.

Nacht's voice reaches your heads. "No will to break. We try again. We win. Does anyone have a blade?"

"I managed to get a few little knives and passed 'em to Jimjar. Is he here?"

There's a stirring towards the rear of the pen, and Jimjar sits up dazedly. Sum-ody say me name? He asks, out loud, apparently quite out of it.

Edwin:

Visibly dejected when he sees Dagna still in captivity with them, Edwin thinks to the group, “I had intended to wait until we were together and had a better opportunity, but I lost my temper.  I am sorry.”

Dagna pats Stool on the head in an attempt to comfort him. She isn't great with...children? People in general, usually, but finds imprisonment and near-death speeds the bonding process. She looks to Jimjar.

"Didn't manage to keep a hold of any of those knives, did ya? And don't dwell on it too much, Edwin. We're alive...And Nacht here's ready for round 2."  She manages a weak chuckle.
