Looks awesome! Ebberon is such a rich and awesome setting, and would love to see an adaptation of an older adventure. This will be a placeholder for now while I forge a character (get it? Cause it’s ebberon? Artificers and such? Sorry, I have habit of making bad puns. I should shut up)

Okay, here we go!
Name and Pronouns: Nix, They/Them
Species: Changeling (MOTM V)
Class and Subclass: Wizard, School of Divination
Background and Backstory: Criminal. I put the backstory in a spoiler so as to keep it from making the application super long:
Nix was dumped on the streets at a young age. Growing up, they were cunning and stealthy, joining up with a thieves guild in Sharn, using their skills to infiltrate and steal. Then, at the age of 16, they received their biggest job yet: Steal a magical orb from a professor at Arcanix. Faking their entry exam results with a handy impersonation of the Disguise Self spell. They enrolled in the school, and met the professor in question: Master Moreleth, a fatherly divination archmage who immediately took a liking to Nix and and took them under his wing.
As the weeks passed, Nix grew more and more attached to the school, Master Moreleth, and another student by the of Garshenia, who they had fallen in love with. The biggest surprise of all, however, was the Nix possessed an arcane spark of magic themself, learning a suprising modicum of magic during this time instead of just faking their exams. Under Master Moreleths tutelage, they not only grew in knowledge and arcane power, but also in compassion, their heart turning from a hardened thief to a softer mage.
Still, they had a job to do, and when the end of the term came, the plan was fully set in motion. Nix let their companions sneak in, then helped them break into Master Moreleth's office. But when the time came to finish the job and take the jewel, Nix couldn't do it. They betrayed their former friends, and saved the jewel, as well as Master Moreleth's life. For their heroism, Nix was allowed to stay in school and finish their magical education, albeit with a close eye on them to keep them out of any more trouble.
They graduated a full-fledged mage, moving back to Sharn with Garshenia, and joined up with the city guard as an investigator, employing their divination magic and street smarts to catch criminals. When they solved a big case, putting some very important criminals behind bars, they retaliated by kidnapping Garshenia and stealing down below the city. Thinking this a mere case of a criminal gang, Nix set out alone to find their love, not realizing the thugs who captured Garshenia were no mere thugs, but rather something darker and more sinister. Much, much more sinister. Fiendish, one might say.
I'll update later with a Heroforge, and some notes on how the character will play!

Veanlir Vale was never meant to exist. His mother, Ianil, was an angel of Syrania—the Azure Sky—a radiant being of divine law and celestial order. For centuries, she watched over the mortal realm, guiding lost souls and whispering wisdom into the dreams of the faithful. But during one of her rare descents to Eberron, she met a mortal who changed everything: Dorian Vale, a scholar devoted to unraveling the mysteries of the planes.
What began as curiosity became something deeper. Ianil and Dorian shared stolen moments beneath the stars, bound by a love that defied the barriers between their worlds. From this forbidden union, Veanlir was born—a child of celestial grace and mortal fragility.
For a time, Ianil hid Veanlir in the luminous spires of Syrania, raising him in secret, hoping the other angels would never learn of his existence. But the celestial order is absolute. When the truth was discovered, the Solar of the city decreed that Veanlir was an aberration—an impurity in the perfect harmony of Syrania. Ianil pleaded for mercy, but there could be none.
They were both to be exiled. Veanlir was cast down, expelled from the realm of his birth, forbidden from ever returning. But the punishment did not end there. Ianil, too, was stripped of her celestial rank, cast out as one of the Radiant Host—but she was sent to the farthest reaches of the world, separated from her son by vast oceans and unknown lands.
Veanlir’s descent should have been his end. Instead, the power of Syrania burned within him, flaring to life as his sorcery awakened. Wings of pure light unfurled from his back as he fell, and arcane words thundered in his mind, echoes of the celestial tongue that had once cradled him.
He landed in Eberron, broken but alive, in the ruins of his father’s tower. His mortal parent had long since passed, leaving only books and unanswered questions. Veanlir was alone in a world that felt small and heavy. He stayed in that tower for a time, learning what he could of his father's life and study. Eventually he left and struck out into the wider world of Eberron.
Vaenlir had lived a cloistered life in Syrania and adapting to life in Eberron was difficult. He did not understand the mortals of this world nor they him, so he was forced to wander from town to village and finally to Sharn, perhaps drawn there by the radiant energies of the Syranian manifest zone. He soon learned to survive among Sharn's bustling streets and started to connect to his fellow mortals in a way he never could have with the angels of Syrania.
Though he still felt like and outsider, he was not without purpose. He knew his mother still lived and that together they would earn—orforce—their readmittance to Syrania.
Thanks for all these submissions. I've sent out the invites to those few that i've picked to take part. Know that there were a bunch that I really liked but who didn't quite fit with my own preferences for the campaign.
