As the party passes slowly past the sphinx, Ember stops and gives a formal bow to 'the Lady'. "Thank you for your riddle and your Grace. If there is anything we might do to aid you..."
You see a very brief spark in her eyes but she shakes her head, "There is nothing you can do for me little one. I must fulfill my obligation before I can be free."
She lifts a paw out of the water and says, "I am Layla, you are?"

The tiny fae raises his hand and extends fingers to lightly touch the Sphinx's paw. "Ember of the Circle of Wildfire. A pleasure to meet you, Lady Layla. I understand the strictures of obligations. May yours be swift and enlightening."
