Dell watches the misty arch and the floor around it closely. " I can't make sense of this, there's got to be a way to interpret this series of flashing colors, a pressure plate, some kind of sensory device... Hum."
He stares intently at the floor, walls and ceiling in and around the arch and uses his rod to stubbornly poke around for movable floor parts.

Looking briefly around his shoulder back at Barry he adds: " By the way, nice work there hauling our Furry Friend out of his predicament... and as far as that elf, he may be a pain in the spleen but he's not faint-hearted, I have to give him that ! ", he then adds to himself sotto voce, "... let's just hope he's alive and well, under there... Menathar's Droopy Loins, this place gives me the jeebies ! "

Grexx would like to move across the room to the opposite side of the Treasure chest and investigate the mural for anything protruding similar to how the chest was. He will move along the red tile as much as possible.
Grexx runs his fingers along the wall and finds that the whole wall is very solid. Possibly stone under a plaster like substance. But when he runs his finger over the torture chamber scene, the painted door seems to have just the slightest give.
Grexx will say, "I think I've found something!" loudly enough so that all are aware. Grexx will attempt to open the door. If it does not swing outward the will push to make it swing inward.
Behind the group, you hear the cluttering of a wooden bow hitting the ground, as Velkyn leaps up from the trap door that Barry recently pulled Grexx out of.
Grexx spins upon hearing the wooden bow! "Velkyn! Did you have the same experience I did?" Grexx then addressing the group. "Also, I believe this painting of the door is hollow. There doesn't seem to be a way to open it but maybe if we smashed it?"
Dell rolls his eyes at the mention of smashing. "That would be a job for a dwarf I know...", he says with a meaningful sideway look at Barry, " ... but maybe we wait a minute before using brute force: let me try something here first... "
With that said, he will walk over to the misty archway and touch the exact stones that were lit up before, in the exact sequence he observed: first the stone on the left side (that flashed yellow), then the right side (orange glow), then finally the arch stone (blue).
He then steps back to see if anything happens, all his senses in alert.

The stones glow when you touch them. Yellow, orange, then blue, then remain lit up.. Suddenly the mist disapates revealing a small room about the size of a closet. The room is empty, and looks big enough for only one person at a time.
Riynor watches as Dell touches the stones, waiting to see what happens. When the stones stay lit, he frowns, "I wonder if that room has been there the entire time. If it had been there, we should have heard the stone and arrow hit the wall. The mist has to be the source of the magic that I sensed. If that was the source, where did it go? What do the lights have to do with it?"

Dell turns towards the group with a self-satisfied smirk on his face, and after dropping a very smug "Voilà !"(*) and doing a little bow, he starts prodding the room beyond the archway with his rod, looking for any more signs of danger, or any indications of what the purpose of the small room may be.
Looks for traps, hidden passages, any clue as to the nature of the room. Also inspects the small room's walls and ceiling carefully, but remaining on the outside of the entranceway for now.
OOC: ok guys, looks like we found the "elevator shaft." in this dungeon.. now just need to learn to operate it properly.
(*): Voilà (also spelled Wuahla or Voylh) is the gnomish God of Wild Berries, Homefires and Macerated Fruit Brews. His name is often invoked to celebrate a feat of gastronomy, or by extension any other succesful completion of a task. This typically gnomish expression has passed into the current Common language after the 5th settlement of Arataguld's Gnomish Merchant's Guild, whose members always uttered it in their dealings with their human customers and/or business partners. It's remained a part of the Common street slang ever since.

No, for now he just prods from the outside of the archway with his immovable rod. He will not step across and inside.
While he's tentatively poking around the in-step of the small teleporting room, taping his rod around like a blind man and doing his best not to pass the archway, Dell calls out to the others:
" Anyone wants to test this thing ? "

The arch flashes yellow, orange, blue, then Velkyn disappears in to the mist
Grexx will go to the trap door he just left and shout down into it,, “Velkyn! Velkyn, can you hear me?!”
(Did Riynor notice what colors flashed when Grexx went through?)
It was yellow left, orange right, blue top

Dell can't see any pressure plates or switches on the ground, but every time he moves towards the arch it flashes the same pattern at him.
Grexx would like to move across the room to the opposite side of the Treasure chest and investigate the mural for anything protruding similar to how the chest was. He will move along the red tile as much as possible.

Grexx will say, "I think I've found something!" loudly enough so that all are aware. Grexx will attempt to open the door. If it does not swing outward the will push to make it swing inward.
There is nothing separating the door from the rest of the wall. And no latch or hinge.
Behind the group, you hear the cluttering of a wooden bow hitting the ground, as Velkyn leaps up from the trap door that Barry recently pulled Grexx out of.

With an enormous grin on his face Barry will remove his maul from his back and ready himself for the go ahead.
Is Dell going into the room to touch the walls?
