Liatris kept her expression decidedly neutral in the face of Threnody's stare and wordlessly followed along after the woman with an alike caution for what lay ahead of the group. When the group finally arrives in the next altar room, she looks on just as suspiciously at the bones. But seeing as they hadn't reacted to Threnody's prodding, her gaze immediately shot towards any darkened corners and even the ceiling itself, searching for something.
"Thr-... Ms. T-"Liatris catches and corrects herself. "Might you be able attune your senses and seek again for the presence you felt earlier? Just to be sure we are potentially dealing with a corporal undead, and not perhaps a specter or ghost that yet haunts these tunnels." She says just loudly enough without breaking her gaze on the ceiling.

"A fair plan." Threnody replies, her gaze whipping to the corners of the ruined, rotting chamber. The paladin draws her shoulders back and composes herself, smothering her inner monologue, pulling her concentration away from stray thoughts and feelings and extending her senses outward. The chamber seems to become sharp and clear, not through mere vision, but another sense entirely - open to the subtle currents of the unseen world, the faintest traces of evil and corruption.
Threnody reaches out with her senses once more, and she still gets a ping of undead in the area. The source is still coming from the east, although it feels closer now. She doesn't sense anything from the current room.
"The undead lie further east." Threnody says simply, lowering the skull she elevated with the point of her spear back to its resting place around the altar. The heightened awareness begins to bleed away even as she takes the first steps in that direction, the dullness of her mundane senses taking centre stage once more.
"Let's move." The tiefling nods to Bees, following behind him.
"By your will."Liatris said while finally lowering her gaze from the ceiling. As lines are reformed and the group by and large proceed further eastward, nimble fingers find themselves wrapping around a lever behind the artificer's shield. A little pressure -- a little twist would be all she'd need to defend herself in a pinch. Though, she half held out hope it would prove unnecessary in the end, in just entertaining the possibility, a nearly imperceptible frown marred her otherwise impassive visage.

Taking the lead once more, Bees continues to follow the wider passageway. Shortsword at the ready, the gruff halfling returns Threnody's nod and steps into the darkness to the east.
Bees continues northward into the large room with many wooden pillars. As he gets closer he smells a strong stench, like rotten eggs.

He notices a door leading off to the left but it's to the west and likely leads back where they've come from. There's another passageway heading off to the east a little further into this room.
